I know this chapter isn't long but I wanted to post something…I feel like I haven't updated this in FOREVER! I have too many stories rolling around in my head it's hard to keep them all straight. The only story I have no problem with is Hide Out…but the chapters are just TOO LONG! After this chapter I might take a break from LNP (Lucy's New Partner) and work on Hide Out until I get my thoughts in order. I WILL FINISH THE STORY. Do not worry about that. Hide Out's second chapter might be longer than the first so I'm going to focus on typing that up while figuring out where I'm taking this story. (I write out my chapter's before typing them.) I apologize in advance to those that will have to wait…by the way. WHOA! Almost 100 Follows?! 99? I LOVE YOU GUYS!
Chapter 5: Zen
When Lucy, Zen, Wendy, Levy and Gajeel returned to Magnolia, they went straight to the guild. They could hear people arguing inside when they reached it. Just as Lily was about to open the door (he was there the entire time by the way) however, they flew open revealing an enraged Natsu, Gray and Erza. The rage on their faces quickly changed into shock when they saw the group in front of them.
"We're back!" Wendy shouted.
"Wendy!" Carla called flying to her.
"Carla?" Wendy questioned.
"How could you leave without me?!" the white Exceed scolded. Wendy hung her head in shame.
"I'm sorry," she apologized. *Lucy sweatdrop* Lucy turned back to her former team. Natsu and Gray had identical unnamable expressions on their faces.
"What's wrong?" Lucy asked. Natsu grinned before launching himself at her and enveloping her in a hug.
"Lucy!" he cheered. Lucy's eyes widened and a blush came over her cheeks. Everyone was now staring at them.
"Wha-wait a," Lucy stuttered. Gray pat her on the head.
"We're glad you're okay," he admitted with a fond smile. Lucy looked down and buried her face in Natsu's arms to try to hide her blush and regain her composure. Zen watched the scene in interest.
"So?" Natsu and Gray questioned Gajeel everyone had moved into the guild.
"So what?" Gajeel asked.
"Did you find out Zen's power?" they ask-shouted. The entire guild was listening now.
"Oh…yeah…he's a strong one," Gajeel answered.
"That's true," Levy cut in walking over. "I don't know why we had to go. We didn't even do anything. Zen is an amazing mage."
"Which is why we ask: 'WHAT'S HIS POWER?!" Natsu and Gray shouted. Gajeel thought for a moment.
"Why don't you fight him and find out?" he offered.
"No way," Natsu declined.
"I refuse," Gray rejected. "I just wanna know what his power is."
"If you wanna know so bad, come outside and he'll show you," Lucy suddenly declared from the guild doors.
"Black Dragon's Roar!" Zen shouted while a black swirl of magic power flew from his mouth. (It looks like Rouge's roar only darker with tinges of violet.) It was extremely impressive not to mention powerful.
"YOU'RE A DRAGON SLAYER?!" everyone shouted. Zen nodded cutely.
"I can summon demons, shapeshift, change other objects shapes and stuff like that," Zen informed.
"He'll be a scary enemy when he grows up," Macao stated.
"Could even become stronger than master," another guild member added. Now everyone (except Lucy and Wendy) had the same question going through their minds…Exactly who is Zen?
