Three months may have passed since the capture of Cin Vhetin, but now that he is free once again it's back to business as usual. A bounty hunter's work is never done, even if that bounty hunter has been missing and presumed dead.
When a mysterious hired gun begins kidnapping Mandalorians and forcing them to hunt bounties for him, the local police force asks Vhetin and Jay for help. Their extensive experience in the dangerous profession will be an asset to the police investigation. But the partners are not the only ones asked to assist in the investigation. Accompanying them is the Handmaiden, an Echani warrior with a deep-seated grudge against all Mandalorians, and Brianna Bellan, Vhetin's ex-girlfriend. It is unclear just how efficiently this team will work together.
But as the stakes grow higher and more battle-hardened Mandalorians are pitted against them, the team begins to realize that even they are not immune to the influence of this enigmatic bounty hunter...
