Chapter Eighteen
Kama Murakami walked behind Erisa Sakamoto, they were going to Erisa's hiding place. Why don't I just take her on now? Kama thought. No, I can't. That would leave me to face Yukio alone, and I can't kill him. I don't want to kill him. I don't really want to kill anybody. I know now, when Yukio dies, it won't be by me.
Kama then really thought about Erisa. She had never really considered everything about the other girl before. She didn't know about Erisa's home life. She didn't know about many of her hobbies. All she knew was that Erisa was a good person to party with. She always managed to get her hands on something, how she did it was the question. Kama wished she could have known her better, she wished she could have figured out that enigma.
"Ruriko," Erisa said. "Get over here."
Quietly, Ruriko climbed down from the tree. "What's happening?" she asked.
Erisa quickly explained the plan she made with Kama.
"Is that safe?" Ruriko asked.
Erisa laughed. "You know I've never been one for "safe", Ruriko."
"But why are you teaming up with Kama? Why didn't you ask me?"
Erisa just looked at her. "We both know you can't fight, Ruriko. I don't want you getting hurt."
Ruriko frowned. She stepped closer to Erisa and whispered in her ear "Are you sure you don't like her more than you like me?"
Erisa whispered back, "I don't like anyone more than you. You're my best friend, so shut up."
Ruriko took a half-step away from the grl, but they were still close to each other. Kama stood behind Erisa, silently observing.
"Listen," Erisa said. "If I don't come back, I want you to win this game for me."
"You'll be coming back though, right?"
Erisa stood there and looked at her friend. She said honestly, "I don't know."
"Then I don't want you to go."
"If Kama and I don't do this, who else will? It needs to be done in order for the rest of the game to be fair."
The two stood in silence. "Well then at least take this," Ruriko said. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the rusted key which she held from the beginning. She shoved it into Erisa's hand.
"No," Erisa tried to hand it back. "It's yours."
"And you can give it to me when you come back."
Erisa smiled. "Alright."
. ~ .
Erisa and Kama walked side-by-side. "Are we clear on the plan?" Erisa asked.
Kama nodded. "We are."
"Hey, listen. If anything happens here," Erisa paused. She remembered a certain party she went to with Kama and Daisuke, where all three of them ended up passed out drunk on the carpet. This was something that Ruriko wouldn't have approved of. The next morning, they were all hung over and irritable, but they went out for breakfast together and the truth is, they were happy. Erisa smiled. She turned to look at Kama, "I'm glad to have known you."
. ~ .
It took them awhile to find Yukio. He had moved after Daisuke had attacked him, but it wasn't too far. In fact, instead of being two zones away from their location, there was only one separating them. The fight was bound to happen eventually, whatever way one looked at it.
When they found each other, they were surrounded by trees. Erisa and Kama stood to one side, and Yukio stood on the other. He chuckled, he knew he could win against the two girls. In fact, he even shot first.
After that, all hell broke loose.
Erisa held a gun in her hand, Kama held her sickle. They ran at the boy, who stood his ground. Erisa aimed at his head and pulled the trigger. The bullet flew through the air and ended up skimming his shoulder. He didn't even flinch. He simply ignored the wound.
Erisa stood behind a tree and aimed again as Kama ran forward. She barely escaped the bullets flying towards she was close enough, she swung at him. She missed his arm, but she succeeded in knocking the gun out of his hands.
Erisa shouted "Kama!" and threw her gun to the girl, who caught it. Erisa then ran towards Yukio, with no weapon. Her fist collided with his good eye, and his hit her slid the gun into her pocket and also went to push Yukio. If she could get him on the ground, she could shoot him and it would all be over.
But it didn't end that way.
. ~ .
Here was where the fatal mistake occurred. Erisa Sakamoto swung at Yukio again. He dodged it. He grabbed her head and slammed it against a tree. She fell to the ground. She could barely hear Kama yelling out her name.
She hurt. Everything hurt, especially her head. She knew that Kama and Yukio were still fighting, and that Kama could use her help, but she couldn't bring herself to sit up. She didn't know how long she was laying there for.
Her hands slowly moved along the ground until she found what she was looking for. She slowly stood up, still leaning against the tree for support.
Yukio couldn't see her. Kama had done her job well, luring Yukio in the opposite direction like that. Erisa aimed the gun, then called "Hey, Yukio!"
He glanced over. Erisa was the last thing he would ever see.
"Damn it all. . . killed with my own gun. . ."

"Well, glad that's over," Erisa said quietly.
Kama walked over to her. "Are you okay? You look pretty bad."
Erisa chuckled. "Oh yeah, I'm fine. Better than you'll be in a few seconds." She still held the gun up against Kama, who held her hands up. Her gun was still in her back pocket, she knew that if she moved, Erisa would shoot her.
"We had a deal," she said. "You swore on it."
"Yeah," Erisa said. Her eyes met Kama's. "But I'm a liar."
Yet this time, she kept her promise. She pulled the trigger.
"You know. . . Never mind. . . I don't want to figure you out, I'm scared of what I'd actually find."

Erisa chuckled again. She stood on her own, not balancing on the tree. "You know," she said, "I liked you. There's nothing worse than killing someone you like." Unless it's someone you love, she thought, but couldn't say out loud.
She figured that she had to get back to Ruriko. She moved to walk, but found herself frozen with pain.
She passed out.
. ~ .
When she opened her eyes again, no weapons were in sight. A boy sat across from her.
"Hello, Sakamoto, Erisa," he said. "I need you to do something for me."
Erisa could only say two words, the first that came to mind. "Oh, fuck."
AN: mwahaha cliffhanger because I'm evil. As usual, leave your predictions in a review, I honestly love reading those. There are only two more chapters after this, I can't even believe it! So chapter nineteen should be out either later today (it's 12:30 am yay for no sleep!) or tomorrow (7/26/2013) the latest. And like we said a while ago, the last chapter of First comes out on 7/30/2013. Anyways, see you all later, stay lovely!
Sami: I do use music for inspiration, in fact I used song lyrics for the title of another fanfic I'll be publishing (it's not BR though). Well, I'm sorry about that. I agree, she should smoke outside, but at the same time it is her house, so it's a bit of a tough situation. I live in Massachusetts, sometimes that's a good thing, other times it's not (tourists *shudders*). What about you? And wow, you're learning all that?! That's awesome, I don't think I could learn it. I love Spanish, I know a little bit of German and Latin. Oh, and of course sarcasm :P I found all the characters confusing before, too, but I've watched the movie so many times it just kind of sank in, haha. And yeah, hopefully one day we'll be able to just go on and on about this stuff, but once this is done (and the alternate one as well,) we'll have to find another way to keep contact (if you're comfortable with that, pretty much any way is fine with me!) Actually, I thought her death was the saddest! I mean, she loved him so much and then she finally tells him as she's dying, and he doesn't even lie about loving her back? I mean, yes they were best friends and she probably would have seen through it, but he should have tried that anyway. I feel really bad for her because she can never have him. But anyway, I can't believe you're so young! I'll give you a time span of let's say, five years? I'm somewhere between the ages of fifteen and twenty. I don't really like giving out my age when I write because sometimes I feel that knowing a person's age can take away a bit from the story. That probably doesn't make sense, I know. It's almost one AM, I'm tired, haha. As usual, thank you for reviewing!
See you all soon!
