Kacee spent the next few weeks trying to rid her life of anything Bella related. She threw away her tacky outfit, her sheet music, deleted all their numbers from her phone and even deleted all the tracks Beca had given her. The only thing she didn't have the heart to throw away was the hideous blue and gold scarf. She'd been proud that Aubrey never asked for it back.

Kacee didn't bother to tell Leah about what happened because she didn't want to be a burden in her life at the moment or anyone for that matter, having kept her interactions with actual human beings to a minimum.

Alone in her dorm during spring break with that ugly scarf taunting her, using Google and her cell phone, Kacee thought she might do one last good deed for the Bellas before Aubrey and Chloe graduated and that involved calling the ICCAs to inform them of an interesting discovery she'd stumbled upon a week ago.

Before she could start dialing, a call was unfortunately coming in. Kacee grimaced as she stared at the number. If she picked up the phone, she'd be miserable. If she ignored it as she always did, she'd feel guilty. So swallowing her pride, Kacee hit the answer button on the last ring.

"Hello?" She answered as confidently as she could.

"K-Kacee?" It was one of the kids from her house. Kacee was shocked, it was usually her drunk mother calling to threaten her.

When home, Kacee was the glue that kept the foster home together. Her mother had started taking in kids when Kacee was still in elementary. She'd been forced to watch over the runts while her mother collected the money. None would ever stay for more than a few months so as heartless as it is to say, there was no point in trying to remember the names. Not when you've watched over 70 kids in your lifetime.

Kacee was about to ask why the child was calling until she remembered she'd put the number down as the emergency number on the fridge. "Yes? Is anyone hurt? What's the problem?" She rushed out.

The kid remained silent for a while on the other end. "Hello?"

"She's rocking back and forth, crying on the kitchen floor." Kacee nodded and tried to hold back a sigh.

"Have you removed all the knives from the kitchen?" She could hear a 'mmhmm' on the other end. "Are all the kids in their room?" another general sound of agreement.

With no hesitation, Kacee led the brave little one through the steps they'd need to get her mother safe and the kids safer meaning far far away from that house.

Kacee dreaded the end of break, especially Stacie's return. Even before she'd left, Stacie had been nothing but apologetic to her and went out of her way to be nice and Kacee not only found it pathetic, but also annoying. If Stacie was really her friend, she wouldn't have reported anything to Aubrey in the first place.

And in order to avoid her, when Kacee wasn't in class she spent all her time at the theatre, didn't matter if she was working or not. She'd rather watch the very poorly done Cosmopolis for the third time than risk running into any a capella singer on campus.

Kacee knew that her strategy had failed while working one night and there was a knock on the booth door. She knew it wasn't Derek because she found out that he didn't give two shits to check on his employees, ever. So that only left one person.

"Hey." He greeted softly, trying to test the waters with her. To Kacee, he still looked just as good as ever and that irked her to no end.

"Hi." She responded curtly, wanting to get this over with.

"I heard about the Bellas and I just came to say-" "You know what? I am just super busy right now trying my hardest not to fuck up one of the few things I actually care about anymore, so I think you should try Beca, Jesse. I'm sure she'd love to see you." She explained as politely as she could before promptly shutting the door in his face.

Due to her aversion of the Bellas for the past few weeks, Kacee thought a text from Chloe informing her of their next meeting would be impossible, yet here she was, walking to Field Hall in the middle of rehearsal just as she had at the beginning of last semester. Only this time, things were far more interesting.

She could hear raised voices before she reached the door and upon entering, Fat Amy started yelling as well which is very out of character for her.

"Alright, ALRIGHT! Shut up! Everyone! Come on I joined this group so I could hang out with a bunch of really cool chicks. And also because I really sick of all my boyfriends and I needed to get away from that. But this is some serious horseshit." She admitted, flailing her arms around before walking off to the bleachers.

"Amen to that." Kacee added, quietly. Or so she thought. She'd only taken a few steps in when Aubrey spotted her.

"What's she doing here!" The blonde screeched pointing a manicured nail in Kacee's direction, but talking to Chloe.

"She's the one who made this happen." Stacie spoke up for her roommate. Although she was right, Kacee wanted to know exactly how she knew. "Aubrey said that the people from the ICCAs mentioned that the leader of the footnotes was a teenage youtube sensation for his choreography. I've never seen someone watch youtube dance videos more than Kacee. It was her."

The backstabbing bitch was smart, Kacee had to give her that. The only things Kacee did in their room other than sleep was homework, watching movies and looking up new dance routines to learn on youtube.

All the girls turned to Kacee to see if it was true. "I knew I recognized that little brat at the semi-finals, but I didn't know from where. It wasn't until break that I rewatched some of my favorite routines and I saw his smug little face on the sidebar in one of the suggested videos that I put two and two together. At least now he can go back to making 14 year old girls swoon with this shitty boy band choreography."

Aubrey was the first to speak up. "And you thought that would get you back in the Bellas?"

Kacee shook her head. "No, but I knew it'd get this shitty group to the finals with that tired ass routine you've had on repeat because you're not creative enough to come up with anything new."

"That tired routine would've won us first place last year!" Aubrey screamed at her.

"Key word," Kacee started before pretending to stick her fingers down her throat "would've."

"Would've! I'll show you would've!" Aubrey shouted before hunching forward with her hands on her knees.

All the Bellas stood around confused at their leader's behavior as she inhaled and exhaled deeply, causing all of them to lean back in fear of what exactly it was she was doing.

Their questions were soon answered when a jet of vomit spewed out of her mouth and nearly spread out towards their feet.

"Come on! Bring it! You can do better than that!" Chloe encouraged as all the other girls were clambering over the auditorium seats to get away from Aubrey's orange stress bile.

Kacee hides under the top row of chairs hoping that's a safe enough distance from the vomit and the amount of chaos that was now occurring down below. Chloe was chasing Aubrey, Fat Amy was holding Aubrey as Chloe was trying to get the pitch pipe from her and Lily of all people was trying to join in.

Or at least she was until she was pushed into the vomit pile. Kacee tried her hardest not to gag at the sight. Trying to imagine a more ideal environment that smelled more pleasant, she closed her eyes and hugged her knees tight. A tactic that never failed as a kid. Not even when sharp silverware was being thrown in her general direction.

"Guys! Guys stop! What is going on?" Kacee peeked her head over the chairs to see Beca had just entered the animalistic auditorium.

"Nothing! Nothing. This is a Bella's rehersal." Aubrey assured getting up from her wrestling match with Amy and Chloe.

"I know. I just… wanted to say I'm sorry. It wasn't Kacee's fault. What I did was a really dick move and I shouldn't have changed the set without asking you guys. And I definitely shouldn't have left. I let you guys down and I'm really sorry… And Aubrey if you would have me I want back in." While Beca made her apology, Kacee made her way down the stairs, surprising Beca. She had no idea that she was back in the Bellas, let alone wanted to see her face ever again.

There was a colossally long silence waiting for an answer from their leader. The Bellas pointedly stared down the blonde basically forcing her to give the answer they wanted; especially Kacee. She was glad to have gotten the Bellas back in business, but she would not be staying if Beca wasn't either. Like Obi Wan Kenobi, she was their only hope.

Not surprisingly, Aubrey ignored their threatening glares and avoided all eye contact as Beca dragged her chair to the exit. This bitch had vomit on her chin and shirt knowing they were going to lose in New York next week and she still had the nerve to be stubborn?

"Wait!" "Thank you. That would've been really embarrassing." Beca sighed, not walking back to them quick enough for their taste.

"Look, I know that I've been hard on you, ok? I know that I have been hard on everyone here, but I am my father's daughter. And he always said 'If at first you don't succeed, pack your bags.'" Aubrey whimpered.

"Who was her dad, Hitler?" Kacee whispered to Ashley, causing her to laugh.

"Uh, I get it. Mine gets on me too. Not like that, but uh… I guess we don't really know that much about each other. About most of you really…" Beca stated with guilt.

"Well, I'll confess something." Stacie raised her hand. "Something that none of you know about me, I have a lot of sex." Kacee made a face wondering if Stacie had just forgotten her existence or…

"Yeah, we know, Stacie." Fat Amy assured. "Only because I just told you." Stacie quipped.

"This is a good idea. That was a pretty bad example, but this is a good idea. Why don't we all go around the room and we could all say something about ourselves that nobody else knows." Beca suggested as Kacee helped her move the chairs into a circle.

After most of the girls had shared something, Beca thought she'd speak up. "Umm, I was never interested in Jesse, but I guess it was kind of good you guys thought that since I've been dating Luke for a while now."

"Luke as in your BOSS, Luke?" Cynthia exclaimed causing all the girls to squeal at the news.

Kacee beamed, relieved that this didn't become a bro's before ho's situation.

After the squealing had gone down to a minimum, Kacee thought she'd finally share. "I have very terrible anger management problems and I've reached the brink of kicking all your asses at least once." It was silent before all the girls broke out in laughter until Chloe stood up to interrupt them.

"Over spring break, I made the courageous decision to remove my nodes." That pretty much killed the laughter there. "The doctor said I can't sing above a G sharp, maybe ever. I thought that this season was over."

The girls sat in sympathy over Chloe's news, Aubrey surprising them by standing up. No confession could top that one. "Beca, what do we do?" Beca rightfully eyed the pitch pipe in her hands before Aubrey threw it to her with no hesitation, shocking them all.

To her misfortune, Beca didn't catch it and it landed in the forgotten pile of vomit. Luckily enough for them, this caused the girls to relocate to the pool.

Ok so the next chapter is the obvs finishing up with the film plotline, but I intend to extend it past that so I would appreciate it if you guys could give me some ideas as to what exactly Jesse and Kacee can do over the summer?
