Chapter 1:
War
The Enterprise had moved into position, passing the Vortex. "Mr. Worf, fire all weapons." Worf fired all weapons. "Shields are down, the vessel it breaking up, Captain." Anakin and Obi-Wan were on the Bridge, watching, meditating in the Force.
An alarm sounded on Mr. Worf's tactical station, "Sir, an escape pod has been jettisoned." "Mr. Data, any life signs?" "Affirmative. I'm reading both organic and cybernetic signatures." "That's him. That's Grievous." Picard ordered, "Mr. Data, take a shuttle and follow him. When you see an opportunity, take Grievous out." "Aye, sir."
Data left the Bridge. "Captain, may I return to my ship? I must make a report to the Jedi Council." "By all means, Mr. Kenobi. Mr. Worf, accompany him." "Aye, sir." Kenobi, Skywalker, and Worf left the Bridge. Crusher took over Ops. "Continuing scans, Mr. Crusher, I'll be in my ready room." Wesley acknowledged.
Chapter 2: Scouting
Mr. Data had followed Grievous into the Utapau system. When he landed, Data found Grievous and put up his phaser. "Stop!" Grievous turned around. "What's this?" Grievous took out his lightsabers, but Data quickly fired on him. When aiming at the heart, Data fired for a second and Grievous' heart exploded and Grievous fell and died.
Data returned the shuttle and opened communications, in flight, to the Enterprise.
Wesley Crusher heard a distress call. "Captain, Mr. Data has made contact." "Acknowledged, Lieutenant." Captain Picard came onto the Bridge and approached Wesley. "What is the message?" "Mr. Data reports the he has destroyed General Grievous. He is returning to the ship." "Tell Commander Data that he is permitted to return. Give him my commendations." Wesley acknowledged.
Data returned and made his report to the Captain and to the Jedi. "General Grievous is no longer a threat." Obi-wan Kenobi said, "Well, that's the end of the Sith. Sidious is dead. Dooku is dead. Now all we have to deal with is you, my apprentice."
As of this moment, the Jedi Council learns that Anakin is married to Padme Amidala and will be a father. Because of this, he is removed from the Council and stripped of his title and place in the Jedi family.
