Author's Note: I'm so sorry it took so long to update but heres the chappie finally. On with the story.

-Meanwhile, elsewhere-

"Stupid humans" Gajeel huffed out.

"But looks like they won't be bothering us" Natsu smugly said. "So, where were we?" he asked.

Their fists connected again sending a wave of destruction around them again. But this dimension had only barren land. Dry, cracked land, with volcanoes on every corner with lava flowing out like rivers.

"Where...where am I?" a little voce inside Natsu's head said. But he couldn't hear him at all. It was the real Natsu's voice.

That's when Natsu lashed out his tail at Gajeel who barely dodged it.

"NOOOOOO!"

Looks like the curse was crueler than anyone had thought. The older dragon mates might have known this but none lived to tell the tale. To make the dragons suffer more humans had made the worst type of curse ever. As if killing their own mate wasn't enough to rip their hearts out, they made them get their rational thought back but they wouldn't be able to control their own body. We call dragons monsters but the real monsters were humans itself.

The two of them continued to fight with all they had got – fists, tails, claws, teeth everything. After what seemed like hours they broke apart, panting heavily.

"Kaaryu no ryokugeki!" Natsu screamed as he once again charged towards Gajeel. Gajeel countered it with a rain of sharp metal spikes. They went on at it but soon they realized that this was not getting them anywhere. Dark!Natsu thought that he could finish this if he powered up.

"Rairenryuu No Hokoooouu!" he roared and spewed lightning powered flames from his mouth as he changed to lightning-fire dragon mode.

"Testueriyuu no hokoou" Gajeel countered (A.N: that means iron-shadow dragon's roar as it tetsueriyuu not tetsuryuu. See the slight difference?) .

Lightning – fire mode was against Iron – shadow mode. For the first time something like that had ever happened. The result was spectacular. The lightning attacked Gajeel's iron as it was a conductor of electricity while the Shadows engulfed Natsu's flames and it just disappeared befored the roar coud affect either of them. These four elements had just neutralized themselves! It was like Ying and Yang!

All this time the real Natsu was trying to break free of a tiny transparent box that he was sealed in. He so desperately tried to take control of his body but just no avail. The memories of him hurting Lucy and Erza were back and he just couldn't believe that he had done something so terrible to his best friends.

He didn't know what was going on. He was so confused. Igneel had talked to him about mating and how to hide the pheromones during the season till he finally found the one he loved but he never told him about this hell that he had to go through.

He was just on the verge of breaking down when he suddenly heard an all too familiar voice. It was Igneel's but was softer and more… human. There was a bright light for a few seconds before it dissipated to reveal a (hot) man with short, fiery red hair and intricate but beautiful tattoos on his face arms and body. .

"Ig- Igneel?" Natsu hesitantly asked. "Is that really you?"

"Yes, Natsu. It is really m-!" he was cut-off as Natsu flung himself on Igneel. Natsu sobbed onto his shoulder. (A.N: not to make Natsu a gay boy… I mean he is … but u know the gay boy who keeps whining or crying. That's just to describe his state of mind.)

Igneel gently petted the boy's hair. When his sobs died down and all that remained were choked gasps, Igneel pulled away.

"Natsu, I know you what you are going through. I have been in the same place as you have. I'm sorry for not telling you this earlier but I didn't have the chance to do so. Zeref and Acnologia joined forces and captured all of the dragons for his evil reasons."

"Huh?! Then how are you here?" Natsu asked, suddenly cautious and curious.

This is just a fragment of my soul that I implanted in you, just before leaving. All I can say is Natsu, you have to be strong and as you are the son of the Great Igneel, you will not let this curse take control of you. You have powers lying within you and all you have to do is find it."

"But how?" He managed to choke out.

Suddenly, Igneel started fading.

Igneel sighed, "I have to go… Remember, I will always love you… son" Igneel hugged Natsu.

"No, don't go! I don't want to lose you again! NOOO!" Natsu screamed as he desperately clung on to his father's shirt.

A few more fat tear drops fell from Natsu's eyes before he wiped away and smiled.

"Love you too… Tou-san" he whispered and tried to concentrate his body.

Meanwhile, Gajeel was having a tough time deciding if he should just slap or hug his foster father who was a standing in front of him. Yes, Metallicana had appeared in front of him (in the form of a very, very sexy man with black hair in a pony tail and tattoos on his hands and face if I may add) just as Igneel had in front of Natsu. But this was a lot different. Instead of advising his son on what to do he started his conversation like this.

"Oh… Damn brat has finally got some balls huh?" Really Metallicana? Who talks like that with your 'son' whom you are meeting with after like almost fifteen years? Anyways, on to the story.

Just when Metallicana was telling him why he left, Dark!Natsu landed a particularly hard hit on Dark!Gajeel.

"Ouch! That's not gonna be good for your body. Very fiery huh? Just like Igneel. Like father, like son." Metallicana sighed.

"Wait, what. You and Natsu's dad are mates?!" Gajeel exclaimed.

"Uh… yeah." It was embarrassing telling his son about love when he was like 3000 years old. What? He IS a dragon.

And slowly he started to fade as well.

"You know, you were always a selfish bastard… but thanks" Gajeel whispered as he turned his back towards his disappearing father.

Metallicana just grinned back before he faded completely.

"ALLRIGHT, TIME TO CONCENTRATE GAJEEL!" He screamed as he shut his eyes.

As the battle raged on the two dragon slayers tried hard to gain control of their bodies again.

Just before Dark!Natsu was about to land a fatal hit to Gajeel, the real Natsu diverted the attack a liitle to the right therefore only hitting Gajeel's tail. Natsu was starting to get a little control of his body! Finally!

I have added a little humor to this chapter because I don't think Gajeel and metallicana are the type for unnecessary words or emotions.

Next chappie will be the end and the and epilogue and possibility of short sequel with metallicana x igneel and Gajeel x Natsu. Thank you for your continuous support for a newbie like me!
