Awww man I really haven't updated in ages! I kinda stopped writing for a long time! Gomennasai! .

Chapter 14

"Yeah it's me" Renji had said over the phone to the man obviously known as Byakuya Kuchiki.

"Let me guess, you failed miserably" Byakuya stated and Renji just grunted, It was bad enough he just got beaten by what looked like a small child he didn't want to put up with Byakuya taunts and complains about him.

"Just to warn you, This guy, Ichigo Kurosaki, he had others with him so he's not alone in this" Renji informed Byakuya but he did not reply.

"Looks like if you want something done you have to do it by yourself" Byakuya mumbled on the phone when it sounded more like to himself "Looks like I have no choice"

Renji was confused, was he supposed to be in this conversation? Well clearly not because by time Renji snapped back into this world the phone went dead on the other line.

This is just great Renji thought now I'm gonna have to put up with him talking about this for awhile, not to mention he himself is gonna get involved Renji signed as he finally got back to his place that he once shared with Rukia. He wasn't too impressed as he looked at the place and kept seeing his memories of him and her in this very apartment.

Why Rukia? Why'd you go...He thought as he sat there trying not to let his compassion come back to him.

-With Rukia-

They had been in the clinic for hours and it was now midday during that time, Rukia had told Hitsugaya the part of the story that he needed to know. She left out the fact that she was abused by Renji, she only told him that Renji had wanted her back and she wouldn't go and Ichigo was just defended her. But Hitsugaya, being the prodigy he is, it never took him long to put two and two together and find out that Renji was possessive and that it was likely she was abused, but he never said anything.

"Well Rukia...I'll trust you to watch over him. I've gotta meet up with Karin for lunch" He stated and Rukia nodded keeping quiet and with that he walked out the room.

Then about twenty minutes later Sue, the nice lady that Ichigo had talked with before and Rukia, since she's known Ichigo she herself has had conversations with Sue and helped her out whenever Ichigo was really busy and Rukia didn't want to be a bother to him.

"Here" Sue said handing Rukia a sandwich " don't worry i'll put it on Ichigo's tab, he'll pay for it later" Sue winked as she took a seat next to Rukia "So do you know when he'll wake up" she asked.

"They said he had lost a lot of blood and they managed to remove the bullet Renji shot him with and stitch that up, they said he so we a wake maybe in a couple hours or so" Rukia said looking down "It's all my fault, he wouldn't be like that if I never met him"

Just then a hand had gripped her wrist and pull her towards them and out their two arms around Rukia's small frame. Rukia's eyes widen when she notice that it was Ichigo who was hugging her.

"Don't say things like that, even if you're not, I'm glad I met you Rukia" Ichigo whispered and at that Rukia hugged Ichigo back, as if he was her lifeline. To Ichigo, even if he didn't notice, Rukia had become a part of his life and he wanted to keep her there in his life. In the light and out of the dark world that she had been it. It was going to be him to show her that light.

"I-Ichigo, I will always be glad I met you, I guess didn't want to see you like that 'cause of me" Rukia mumbled, embarrassed to be showing affection. Ichigo just laughed at her redden face and thought it was cute, he was now proud to say that he was in love with Rukia, but only to himself for now.

"Awww is lil' Rukia shy~" Ichigo teased. While Rukia mumbled something on the lines of 'you're lucky you're already injuried'

"So how long have I gotta stay in here?" He asked, Rukia shrugged and he signed "I'll guess it'll be a couple hours before they let me go"

And with that a doctor and come in, surprised to see Ichigo awake this quickly while Ichigo just shrugged it off saying that he just heals fast. The doctor had examined him and then about and hour later the same doctor came back and said that Ichigo could be discharged and should take it easy and have three days rest.

-Time Skip two days-

The two days went quick for both Ichigo and Rukia. They both couldn't be happier. There would be awkward moments, but only because Ichigo would constantly be thinking about if he should tell Rukia that in the time he had known her, he had fallen in love with her. He knew now wasn't the best of times but she should know that much shouldn't she?

The third day they had been out buying Ichigo as whole new wardrobe, Rukia had told him the other day that he has terrible taste in clothing and he wanted to get rid of the 'terrible' clothing himself because Rukia would only bug him and he wanted and change anyway. So here they are in a shop, in the mens section with Rukia throwing clothes she deemed 'worthy for Ichigo to wear' and some of the clothes, minus the Chappy tie that Rukia had thrown in there for a laugh, was pretty good.

She told him to changed and he grumbled but walked over to get changed, there was an old couple in the shop who just laughed at the scene and said 'love birds' to which Ichigo's face turned red at, he glanced at Rukia to see her face turn red as she met his eyes she turned and made it look like something caught her eye and walked over to it. Ichigo just laughed and walked to the changing rooms.

He was now wearing a white suite with a red and white checkered polo shirt and and the Chappy tie, when Rukia saw that she laughed but she only wont over to him took the tie off him then placing a thin plain red tie that suited him better and that 'Chappy didn't like him' according to Rukia.

Ichigo walked over to the cashier and said he was gonna walked off in these clothes and was gonna pay for the rest, he did that and then they both exited the shop. It wasn't long before they heard someone speaking to them.

"Well there you are" They both turned around and Rukia froze "Long time no see, Rukia" There stood before them was Renji and Byakuya kuchiki.
