A/N: Hello! So I know i've been gone for literally so long and I apologize. I got so distracted and forgot about my account on here but I've decided to come back and I'm slowly, but surely, updating all my stories. I'm sorry if my writing style is a little bit different it's been almost half a year, or so I think, so I apologize. I lost my copy of this story on word document so I don't really remember what I had planned for this story but I'm figuring it out as we go so I hope you liked this chapter and please let me know if you'd like more!

Out of the many long years Bonnie had spent at the castle she has had her handful of times where she had sprung herself into trouble with the Original family. When she was eight she went through a fairytale face where she demanded that she become the princess and not Rebekah which only encouraged Rebekah's strong hate for her to grow.

Rebekah did not take fondly to someone trying to snatch her crown, even if it's an innocent eight year old.

As she got older she became rebellious and while Bonnie had spared the curfew a few times she had never been caught and none the less by Rebekah of all people. She had been caught once by Prince Elijah who merely stared at her before continuing to walk down the hallway, allowing her to scurry off to her bed and act like it had never happened.

However, to her dismay, Rebekah was not going to be as nice as her brother once was a few years back.

"I couldn't sleep," Bonnie managed to say as she felt Rebekah's death grip on her arm tighten at her words, her stealthy glare searching her face for some unknown answer.

The blonde seemed unfazed by Bonnie's simple answer and instead of accepting it, it instead seemed to enthrall her. She never liked the brunette human and the fact that she thought she could just go out and break rules bothered her even more. Not to mention how disrespectful she was at dinner!

"How sad," She commented with a bored expression on her face, practically mocking Bonnie. "Would you like me to sing you a lullaby?" She asked sarcastically.

Bonnie knew better then to try to test Rebekah's patience so instead of saying a snarky remark she bit it back and just stared at the blonde in front of her.

"No response?" She asked, tilting her head at Bonnie and still getting no answer. "Well then, since you seem to have lost your ability to speak like a human being then you should be punished like the true animal you are."

Rebekah was quick – much too quick for Bonnie – and tightened her grip on Bonnie's arm to a bruising level before dragging her forearm up and taking a quick, yet deep bite into Bonnie's caramel skin. She punctured the soft flesh and dove her fangs in, sucking in some of the sweet blood that Kol had deprived her of drinking so many years ago.

Bonnie gasped in shock, the pain radiating in her body as she felt Rebekah bite her. "Stop!" She found herself shouting, pushing against the strong girl in front of her and getting no response. She shook around and pushed with her opposite hand, not willing to just subdue to Rebekah's request.

Though she had no effect on her Rebekah pulled away with a haunting laugh and a trickle of blood following her parted lips. "Shut up," She growled, her angelic manner about herself dissolving as Bonnie saw her in her true form with blonde stained lips and veins pulsing through her face. "You're so lucky my brother has some disgusting infatuation with you or I would have just ended you right here and now."

Bonnie held her arm close to her chest, her opposite hand circling a fist around the bite mark that was now stinging. She felt a dizzy sensation in her head though she knew Rebekah didn't take nearly enough blood away from her to make a real damage.

After taking a ragged breath she built up the courage to say sharply to her, "You disgust me."

There was a beat of silence before Rebekah's face broke out into a grin and she bowed in front of the brunette. "I'm glad," She said with a flip of her blonde hair, casting a glance at her lazily. "Find your way home before one of my other family members finds you and decides to teach you a lesson as well."

And with her fleeting words, Rebekah had disappeared in a blur of colors leaving Bonnie agape while clutching her arm to her chest.

Morning was always the hardest for Bonnie and today was no exception. It took her a half an hour to find her way back to her sleeping cot last night so she got barely enough sleep and to top it off she still had a dizzy sensation from when Rebekah decided having a snack on her would be considered punishment.

"Bonnie, wake up," Elena's soft voice carried through her ears as she shook her slightly. "We have fifteen minutes before we have to go to our respected royal."

The thought of waking up to go serve to every wish and demand of Kol made Bonnie cringe however she managed to rip her sheets off and slide out of the bed with a groan. As soon as the blanket had slipped from her grasp Elena noticed the soft cotton wrapped around her right lower forearm.

She narrowed her eyes carefully before asking, "Are you okay?"

Bonnie shrugged but gave her a dismissive wave, "Nothing you need to worry about now go get pretty for Lord Elijah. It'll be your first real day with the prince himself," Bonnie found herself saying quickly, wanting to avoid the topic.

Jeremy snorted from the back of the room, overhearing the conversation. He knew very well, along with others, that Bonnie cared very little for the royal family and what they thought of her. She was the rebellious one always calling them by their first names instead of their royal names and talking back. The only reason she hadn't been killed a long time ago was because of the history she held with the family.

"He's the better one, right?" Elena asked as the two girls made their way to the changing rooms. Elena was nervous about her new servant job but Bonnie had assured her that she had gotten the better end of the stick when landing with Elijah. He was calm, mature, and responsible.

Bonnie snorted, "By the far the best," She said with a strong nod, stripping of her sleeping gown and pulling on the white slip to wear underneath her dress. "You'll never have to worry about him going off on a mass murdering spree or suddenly wanting to kill you when he's in a bad mood."

"Do the other's do that?"

"Some," She admitted as she thrifted through her small amount of clothes for a long sleeve dress. She found one that was baby blue and relatively recent so she slipped it on over her head, glad it still fit her frame despite how skinny she had gotten. "Rebekah's crazy and makes very rash decisions but so does Niklaus and Kol. Niklaus is more likely to go off on a killing spree for a reason while Kol kills for fun," She shuddered as she began to braid her hair down her back with a sigh.

"Does it ever disgust you?" Elena asked as she smoothed out her baby pink dress. "You know, knowing what they really are and what they do. I mean, they kill people like us. They eat us."

"I think the more appropriate question is when does it not disgust me?" Bonnie muttered before leaving the changing room and cleaning off her area, getting ready to leave.

She knew her way to Kol's room very easily. It would only take her a little over five minutes to walk up to his room but the thought of finishing the dreaded walk and having to actually do her job made her want to hide underneath the covers. Kol wasn't bad at times though when he got in certain moods he was difficult to work with.

Kol, unlike his siblings, had a very childish air to him. He liked to joke around and a lot of the times treated Bonnie as his equal. It hasn't been since recently that he decided that yelling and threatening was a more accurate response to Bonnie's easy banter then his old usual laughs and dismissive rolling of his eyes.

Bonnie walked with her three friends down the hallways, walking in silence. Matt, Jeremy, and Bonnie were used to this and it was a part of their daily routine however for Elena this was all foreign and Bonnie felt bad that they weren't trying to make it easier for her but it's hard to make anything cheerful when they are all here against their will to serve people they don't even like.

Jeremy was the first one to leave, stopping at Finn's room who was the closet to the servant tower. Finn was a relatively calm person and Jeremy never complained much about him. From what Bonnie knew Jeremy actually liked Finn somewhat when he actually spoke considering he was practically mute.

Matt was next, making a grunting noise as he neared Rebekah's room. Even without super smelling senses they could all still smell the nauseating amount of perfume that was radiating from Rebekah's closed doors. Bonnie wanted to tell Matt to be careful because of how grouchy she suspected Rebekah to be but she didn't want her friends to know about the accident that happened last night.

She didn't need a big deal made out of it.

"I'm nervous," Elena admitted as they rounded the corner and the only two rooms left were Elijah and Kol's. Elijah's was first, right in front of them while Kol's was another hallway down.

Bonnie smiled softly and she could almost picture Elijah sitting thoughtfully at his desk, listening to Elena speak. Even though Elena wasn't used to it Bonnie knew so many of the vampires in this house ease dropped and while it was a very paranoiding thing you had to get used to it and moderate what you say out loud.

"Don't be you'll be find," She said and gave Elena's hand an encouraging squeeze. "Trust me," She added before waving at her friend and walking the last few fleeting steps down the hallway to the large wooden door that she knew belonged to Kol.

She knocked twice, like she always did, waiting for him to answer the door. She would have just walked in like she used to do when she was younger but when Mikael had caught her just walking in to Kol's room once last year she was screamed at and told that it was disrespectful.

The wooden door swung open and Kol stood there with a bored expression on his face, "It took you long enough," He muttered before his face morphed into one of confusion. His eyebrows furrowed together as he sniffed the air.

His usually warm chocolate eyes clouded over darkly as he said again lowly, "Come in," He moved aside, "Now." He commanded and despite her confusion Bonnie did as she was told, taking a few steps into his room and hearing the door bang shut.

"You're bleeding," He stated matter-of-factorable as soon as the door had swung shut.

Bonnie looked at him a gape before denying it, "No I'm not. You're crazy," She scoffed, not even caring that she had just called him crazy.

He didn't seem to care either and instead decided he wanted to get his point across. "Stop lying," He snapped, purple veins creeping up from under his skin. "I can smell it."

Bonnie couldn't help but feel grossed out by his comment. She tried to forget sometimes that they really were blood sucking freaks of nature. Sometimes she can forget and she just thinks their unusually bratty wealthy teenagers from affluent parents but then she remembers that instead of teenagers their already hundreds of years old and they've all killed so many people in their lifetime.

"That seems about right considering you're a vampire." She said sharply, knowing she was testing him with her unneeded amount of snappiness.

"Drop your tone," He responded just as quickly, an edge to his voice as he got a whiff of the smell against and located the source. His eyes trained down ward to the long sleeve on her dress. He grabbed for her arm, pulling it up by her wrist as his lips curled back as the smell got stronger. Before Bonnie could protest he pushed the sleeve of her dress up to see the sloppily put on bandages and the red stain that was seeping from underneath it. "What did you do? Harm yourself?" He asked sharply, feeling the need to yell at Bonnie for doing something so stupid.

How could she walk around with an open wound with a family full of vampires? He was sure if Niklaus had gotten a smell of her he wouldn't have even though twice before ripping her throat out. Don't forget Rebekah either! She has practically been waiting for the day she could suck Bonnie dry of her sweet blood that she had smelt so many years back.

"What did I do?!" She asked with annoyance in her voice, "More like what your crazy sister did!"

As soon as she said the words Kol had formed a scenario of what happened in his mind. Like before, Bonnie couldn't react as Kol's hands worked at a lightened speed and he ripped the cotton off her arm to expose the small yet still there bite mark on her forearm. He had to hold his breath to resist himself from smelling in her scent more deeply. It was a struggle to try to control himself in situations like this. He wasn't used to telling himself no.

"Did she compel you?" He asked shortly, dropping her arm and taking a large step away from her.

"No," Bonnie shook her head.

"Oh, splendid," Kol said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes, clasping his hands behind his back like he always did out of habit. "So you just decided to let my sister make a snack out of your arm? You're bloody lucky she didn't just decide to finish you off considering my sister is a selfish being with no self control."

Bonnie felt it was ironic that Kol was off yelling and having a fit about how his sister was apparently selfish and had no self control when that was the definition of Kol. He makes rash decisions and never cares about the outcome as long as he's okay and he practically eats every human in his range of walking.

"Of course I didn't. Do you even know who you're talking too?" Bonnie asked with a huff of air, throwing her arms down in frustration, making the sleeve unroll and cover back up her bite mark. "I couldn't sleep and she caught me walking around last night –"

"You broke curfew?" Kol interrupted but she ignored him.

" – and decided that biting me was my punishment." She finished with desperation in her voice. "I obviously didn't just offer up my arm to her of all people."

Kol was agitated. No, he was more than agitated, he was actually angry. Everyone assumes that the only reason he keeps Bonnie around is for the thrill of having a play toy though Bonnie doesn't appreciate the amount of effort Kol puts in to keeping her alive. Rebekah wasn't lying all those years ago when she talked about how sweet her blood smelt and how she just wanted a taste. There are times when Kol would catch wind of Bonnie's aroma and have quick fantasies of just crossing the short distance between them and biting into her neck, taking away all the life that she has.

He exhibits self control with her on a daily basis and it's a struggle. Not to mention he has to deal with his family members as well. Rebekah always hated Bonnie from the beginning since she was denied her so long ago, Klaus finds her disrespectful but finds her attitude entertaining, Fin barely knows her, Elijah feels bad for her, Ester has a mutual dislike for her and her informality, and Mikael would rather see her punished for everything she does then treated like an equal.

Kol can never please everyone. He's either pissing off his parents by taunting, speaking, and acting like Bonnie is just another person or he's getting the bad end from Bonnie if he actually has to reprimand her. While he's never been violent to her like some of his siblings have been to servants he can't always promise that it'll remain like that.

She's lucky she doesn't have Rebekah snapping her neck or Niklaus brainwashing her into a blood bank. Though, if she keeps in contact with Damon Salvatore then she might as well be signing the deal with the devil because he'll be worse than any of his siblings.

After staying silent for a few long moments he let out a deep breath before asking, "How do you feel?"

Bonnie was a bit taken aback by his question however she still answered it honestly, knowing he would just keep on bugging her about it if he thought she was lying. "I'm okay, a little dizzy though."

Kol looked her, examining how she looked before pondering something. He disregarded his thought and decided that she looked healthy enough. "Fine, stop doing stupid things and especially stop being caught by my sister. Make sure you're feeling fine enough because I have a lot planned for today."

Bonnie was in for a long day ahead of herself.
