Here is the second chapter of Doumeki's Thoughts on the Matter. I noticed I didn't say anything about the story in the first chapter so here is a little bit of insight. This is based of the anime XXXHolic, I literally watch an episode once, then rewatch it and copy lines, I then put these lines in Doumeki's perspective, and make it like Doumeki is in love in Watanuki, and stalks him. Which is why (in my opinion) why Doumeki is so selfless and loyal to Watanuki.

I walked towards the area where I knew Watanuki had gone to, hoping to get him to talk to me. Maybe even yell, I act like his yelling hurts my ears, but in reality I like the way it makes him so alive, his blue eyes full of life. As I got closer I hear voices, as if he were talking to someone, "I have to say the goalie on the other end did really well too. I think his name's Doumeki, right? You know for not actually being on the soccer team it's amazing how good you guys are." As I turned the corner, with Watanuki's back facing me, I notice it was Himawari.

Watanuki started saying something in reply," Not true! I mean Doumeki really isn't all that great. It was a total fluke he blocked that one shot I made. Seriously, like a once in a million miracle save! Pure dumb luck…." He actually remembers my name, that's good I made an impression on him at least. Not necessarily the best one, but an impression on him none the less.

I walked up behind him, like I wasn't listening to his conversation, " In that case, I must be the luckiest guy on earth huh? You do realized I blocked six of your shots don't you?" I said monotonly, like I didn't really care, don't wanna give too much away right? Watanuki hearing my voice, turned around and waved his hands around in the air.

"Oh yeah? I was just kicking them easy! So your team wouldn't look so bad!" He then pointed at me with his back arched, like a scared cat.

"Yeah, that was it." I said with a doubtful expression, just staring at him.

"Yeah, it sure was! You and your team should be thanking me right now. I did you a favor!" Watanuki started flailing his arms again. I turned to walk away, even though I hated it, I needed to get away from him.

"Uh-huh" I simply stated.

"Don't you run away when I'm talking to you!" He yelled to my back.

"I'm not running, I'm walking calmly away from a crazy person." He wasn't crazy, he was beautiful, wild and untamed.

"COME BACK HERE! I'M NOT CRAZY!" He shouted to my retreating form. That was close, he could have seen something that would change the dynamic of our entire relationship, what little there is anyway. I had not gone very far away, just behind the closest building, so I could listen to the rest of the conversation. Also so I could try to calm the problem I had going on "downstairs."

"Well I should go," I heard Himawari say.

"Go? But why?" I could hear Watanuki pouting.

"I'm going to be late for my french club meeting. Are you in any afterschool clubs?" I perked my ears up at this, wondering what the answer was. Maybe, depending on what it is, I could stalk him there.

"Yeah, well, it's not a club really it's more of a part time job I have." A job? My Watanuki working? I wonder if they're working him too hard. He seemed sad about the news.

"Oh really? Where is it?" Himawari asked. My thoughts exactly, where is it? So I can save you from it. If you needed a job so badly, I could give you one at the temple to keep an eye on you, and protect you from anybody else wanting to take you away.

"Hmm, well it's this strange little shop, I don't know how you can explain it, but I guess you can call it a consultation agency." He said that sentence slowly. A consultation agency huh? I haven't heard of any in the nearby area. I wonder if he has to go really far for his job, but he didn't say anything about that.

"An agency huh? Well that sounds like a lot of fun!" Himawari said a little too excited sounding.

"It isn't fun at all! In fact, it's the worst job ever." Watanuki said this and then laughed really awkwardly, like he only does when he isn't telling the complete truth.

"Alright, well I'll see you tomorrow, Watanuki," her voice was getting fainter, so I assume she is walking away, to go to her club. If

"Oh yeah," I could almost hear the confusion in his voice.

"Goodbye! Good luck with your new job!" She shouted back. I can almost imagine the response Watanuki is going to have already.

"Thanks! Goodbye!" After a few minutes of silence, I chance peeking around the corner to where they were. There wasn't anybody there, so I back into the school to get changed. I had a new mission. Follow Watanuki to this new job, and make sure it isn't anyplace shady. If it is, I'm taking him out of there, and getting him a job at my temple.

I waited slightly out of the school gates waiting for Watanuki to start walking to his destination, wherever that may be. Oh here he comes now, skipping along singing loudly about how Himawari talked to him, how the prettiest girl in the school told him good luck. I just rolled my eyes at his silliness. Luckily he was too distracted to notice I was following him.

As we were walking, I noticed we were close to my home. This was actually the same route I took walked. Then we passed my turn off, guess it must be farther. Watanuki turned a corner slightly ahead, when I peeked around the corner carefully, he wasn't there! I rushed to the middle of the road and looked everywhere, but I didn't see him, and there weren't any more turns for a while. So I walked towards the empty lot with the wooden fence, and looked to see if he was hiding behind the fence, he wasn't.

I don't understand, where could have he gone? There isn't anything here, just houses, and didn't he say he worked for a consultation agency? I walked back towards home, when I couldn't find Watanuki anywhere. When I got home, I had asked my mother if there were any new businesses in the area and she told me no. Guess I just had to try following him some other time then.

Poor Doumeki, so close, yet so far. Also as I said at the beginning of the chapter, I'm basing this of Doumeki's point of view and this is a bit of a spoiler, Doumeki told us later on that he cannot see Yuuko's shop. To him that area is just an empty lot, and anything that goes inside disappears from view, so yeah. I will do things like this for later episodes too. I'm doing this from what Doumeki tell us he can see, so if he can't see it, Watanuki just looks crazy to us.
