An Anniversary to Remember…
BPOV:
I walked by the river and watched Jacob and Nessie hunting on the other side. They were having fun of course. Edward was out planning something for me. I sighed, he knew I hated surprises.
Oh well, that's how Edward would always be. I'm already used to it by now anyway. A hundred years will do that to you. Well, anyway, I'm just going to hunt until him and Jasper gets home.
Alice ran up to me, "Hey, sis!" I rolled my eyes, "You're going to doll me up, aren't you?" She grinned, "Of course! Now, come on!" I shook my head, "Did Edward put you up to this?"
She stuck her tongue out at me and shook her head, "I can't say anything!" I frowned and called for Jacob. The wolf jumped across the river and nudged me with his nose. Alice smiled, "I'm kidnapping Bella for a few hours. You and Nessie be home for dinner, okay?"
Jacob nodded and went back to join Renesmee. I laughed at the memory of the day Jacob moved into the Cullen's Mansion. He took Edward's old room; Alice went a little overboard when she redecorated it. Okay, maybe, way overboard.
Alice and I ran back to my closet in the cottage and she attacked. You know what I mean. We were in there for about an hour and a half when I heard my lullaby from the mansion. Edward was home.
Jacob came in, "Um, yeah, Edward's waiting, Alice. He said if you don't leave Bella alone right now, he'll suck your blood." Alice laughed, "She's coming now. Thank you, Jake. Now, Edward's waiting for you so we'll all be off hunting or something to leave you two alone. Jake, care to escort me to my car?" Jacob's face brightened, "Are we going for a ride?" Alice nodded, "Yeah, Jasper and Emmett want to race me and you. I bet my porche goes faster than that jeep."
I whispered to Jacob, "Never bet against Alice." They both laughed and we all went to the house. I made it to Edward in half a second and kissed him. Edward smiled my favorite smile, "Happy Anniversary, love! By the way, I had nothing to do with this dress up."
I nodded, "I know that now. Here's your present." I pulled out the blue and silver wrapped gift and handed it to him. He tore it open, "Ah. Just what I've been looking for. Where did you find this?" I looked at the noz box, "California. I spent half the night looking for it. The man was ecstatic when he sold it to me. Now you and Jake can really appreciate speed in a car. I already had Rose install two each in your cars."
Jacob hugged me, "Thanks!" Renesmee chuckled, "You know, I still agree with Mom. Running is so much better." Edward and Jacob narrowed their eyes at us. Alice shook her head, "We all have opinions here. I like both just the same. Now come on, Jake! Jasper is going to be mad if we don't get a move on!"
Nessie went to find Rosalie, and Edward and I went to our meadow. There, we spent the rest of the night. What was special though was that now I had the most beautiful bracelet ever. It was delicate and had eleven crystal charms on it that each had nine pictures of every anniversary we had in the last one hundred years.
I was so happy and overwhelmed. My life was complete. After all of these years, I still had my angel. Plus, my family was happy and safe…
