Raven came down to the main room in the middle of the night. She did not expect anyone to still be away, it was almost two in the morning, but she was shocked to find Beast Boy on the couch.
"You're up late," Raven commented as she turned on the kettle.
"You're up early," Beast Boy countered without looking at her. Raven laid out a cup for her tea.
"...what are you watching?" Raven asked, "Cartoons again?"
She walked around the couch to sit next to him but before she could sit Beast Boy jumped up, slapping the book on his lap shut and placing it under the couch cushion and then answered her, "No, anime. It's different."
"Still looks pretty stupid to me," Raven said in her usual monotone, "What's it called?"
"Deathnote (a/n My favorite anime ever made. I 3 L!!!)" Beast Boy answered. Raven looked up at the screen as a pale, dark haired man walked into the room on the show.
"Who's he?" Raven said with a little interest.
"Oh, that's L, his real name's Lawliet. He's the good guy but if you're on the main character's side then he's the bad guy..." Beast Boy tried to explain. Raven sipped her tea and watched a few scenes with him out of boredom.
Raven looked over to Beast Boy as she reached the bottom of her tea mug. He'd fallen asleep while watching the show. Raven shook him lightly, "Go up to bed." He stood up absent mindedly and walked up the stairs.
"Beast Boy your book," Raven reminded him, she pulled it out from under the sofa cushion. She held it out to him but in his haste to retrieve it, the book fell to the floor and the pages scattered around the room. Raven shook her head annoyed as she helped him pick them up. She looked at them in her hand before giving them back. They were perfectly drawn sketches of Beast Boy with his arms over Terra's shoulders, dated to a year ago. She flipped through them seeing mostly Terra, all dated back to last year, until she found the one he had just been working on. It wasn't finished yet, but it was Raven with his arm around her. He was smiling and she had a book in her hand with just the corners of her mouth turned up.
"Rae..." Beast Boy mumbled embarrassed, "I didn't mean for you to see it."
"My hair isn't that long," Raven commented.
"You... aren't mad that I drew you," Beast Boy asked nervously.
Raven hesitated, "No...you're actually pretty good." Beast Boy's face split into a smile and he went back to the couch to put the drawings back in order. Raven sat next to him and was surprised to find he had more of her, dating all the way back to when they met. The only break from her was Terra, but other than that every drawing was of her. Raven leaned her head back on the couch, closing her eyes.
Robin came down for breakfast and smiled. Raven was laying on Beast Boy's chest and he had an arm over her. He tiptoed back out of the room, careful not to wake them. Raven woke up a few minutes later and looked up to see her teammates arms around her. She considered getting up and blasting him for touching her, but instead she smiled and closed her eyes, falling back asleep.
