'Can you search down inside, Let go of your pride? If I forget trying to win, And just let you in I didn't travel this far to watch it all fall apart. So give me your hand and take a chance.'

I Still Love You - Alex Johnson.

"ROSIEEEEE!" Squealed a high-pitched voice, as the Doctor and Rose landed.

A little blonde haired boy hurtled down the corridoor and flung himself on Rose.

"Blimey Tony! You weigh a ton!" Rose grinned into his hair as he flung his arms around her neck.

Tony withdrew his head from her chest and looked up at her.

"I just wiped my bum all by myself!" He said, matter of factly.

"Well Done! No help from daddy?" Rose grinned.

"Nope. He says if I want to be a football person when I'm grown up, i have to learn how to wipe my own bum."

Rose plonked Tony back on the ground, ruffling his hair.

"Well, Darling, I don't think Ashley Cole or Wayne Rooney can wipe their own bums, so you've got a head start!" Rose whispered into Tony's ear "Has Bev finished tea yet?"

"Yes. We're all waiting for you. And lots of your funny friends are sitting at the table waiting for you." He said, pulling Rose down the hallway, towards the kitchen.

The doctor followed them, watching with great amusement as Rose bantered with her little brother. Jackie had been right, he looked exactly like her.

"Mmm! Pizza!" The Doctor cried, as he caught the smell in the air.

Tony turned around and gave him a quizzical look.

"Rosie, who is that funny man following us around?" He asked, tugging on her hand.

Rose turned and grinned.

"This is the doctor, Tony." The Doctor's heart leapt as her face went soft as she said his name. Maybe this wasn't so hopeless after all.

Tony gasped.

"Why aren't you holding Rosie's hand?"

The Doctor grinned at that.

"You know what? That is a very good question, Tony the Tyler." The Doctor smiled down at Tony, grabbing Rose's hand "Better?"

Tony grinned a gap toothed grin at him and pulled them both along the hallway towards the kitchen. Just as they reached the door, Rose's phone started ringing.

"Two secs..." Rose mouthed at them.

The Doctor watched with concern as Rose's happy face turned into a mask of horror.

"WHAT? WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME EARLIER?" She yelled into the phone.

Defensive, muffled speech came from the receiver.

"What? NO! NO EXTRAPOLATORS!... Yeah, yeah. I'm coming. GOD, you guys are hopeless! BYE!" Rose cut off the call.

She ran past the doctor and Tony into the kitchen.

"Aah! Rosie, just in time! Dinner's-" Jackie got cut off.

"Dad, Jake, Mickey, Jack, Gwen, Ianto! Hormonal Fintraens in Harrods! Get your bums out of the door NOW!" Rose yelled, pulling her teleport out of her pocket.

They all dropped their pizza in mid-bite and rushed out the door.

"Rosie! It's dinner time!" Jackie moaned, impatiently.

"Mum, if I don't get to Harrods within the next five minutes, the human race will go KAPUT! Priorities!" Rose pressed a chaste kiss to her mother's cheek and dashed out of the door.

The Doctor let go of Tony's hand and dashed out after her. He had never struggled to keep up with her in the past, but she seemed to have gotten faster along with all the other super-human changes to her.

She ran down numerous flights of stairs, along a marble hallway and out of the front door.

"ROSE! What's going on?" He cried.

Rose turned to him with a confused look on her face.

"Hormonal Fintraens! Surely you know what that means?" She asked, pulling her teleport out of her pocket.

"Yes! Of course! But... What about protection? You're hopeless without gu-"

"STOP right there!" Rose put a hand over his mouth "That's exactly why I'm not taking you with me! You have a lot to be drummed into that head of yours before you can do anything like this! I'm not letting an angry warrior loose on these creatures. They're confused. They don't know what they're doing!"

He had no reply to that. He knew his temperament was exactly the same as when she had first met him. He would not be any help.

"What should I do then?" He asked, more calmly.

"Go and get to know my family. Tell Tony stories about our adventures. Watch TV. Get used to being half-human!" Rose grinned, raising her hand to her teleport.

"What about you?" He asked.

Rose sighed, exasparated.

"Doctor. If I can save the whole of existence from Daleks, I reckon I could have a go at saving Harrods from a bunch of Rexocoracofalapatorian's. I'll see you later." She grinned.

The Doctor nodded.

"Stay safe." He whispered.

Rose gave him one last smile that would have put a super nova to shame and then pressed down on her teleport. His eyes widened as he dissappeared.

Then, a bunch of emotions swirled over him. He had been left out. He felt angry, hurt and useless. And rage.

And that was the emotion that would almost cost him everything that had ever mattered to him.

As he would find out soon.
