'If you think of me, If you miss me once in a while. Then I'll return to you. I'll return, and fill that space in your heart. Remembering, your touch, your kiss, your warm embrace, I'll find my way back to you, Please say you'll be waiting."

Wait For Me - Tracy Chapman.

Mickey walked back through the door, shaking his head. He should have pelted that man. Rose could take aliens and monsters and megalomaniacs, but having her heart broken by the same man for the third time? He sighed. This whole alien life-style they had gotten themselves into was brilliant, but not dissimilar from living in an episode of Eastenders.

He walked into the lobby to find no Rose. Or anyone else except Alex and Ben.

"Where is she?" He asked, worried.

"In her office. Derek had to be sedated, and she gave everyone else the day off. They didn't wanna go, but you know how it is." Ben answered, shaking his head.

"We're just gonna seal the final breaches and then go too." Alex added, mirroring his brother's actions.

Mickey nodded his head and walked down the hallway, towards her office. He knocked twice.

No answer.

He knocked again.

"PISS OFF!" Came an angry voice from the other side of the door.

"Rosie? It's me, please let me in." Mickey pleaded to the door.

"Is anyone with you?" She asked, slightly less angry.

Mickey was about to say "No" when he caught sight of Jack, Gwen, Jake and Ianto creeping up the corridoor towards him. He raised both eyebrows at them.

"Not exactly." He answered "I've got the twit brigade with me."

Mickey thought he could hear a small giggle through the door as Jack forgot his silence and shouted "OI!"

"I thought as much." She sighed "Door Open."

They all stepped through the door as it opened, automatically, smiling down at her.

Rose had never looked so tiny in her life. She was hunched up in a ball underneath her experiment table, her cheeks were tear stained and her eyes were gold. She tried grinning at them, but just burst into fresh tears. Not Good.

They all went and sat down next to her, under the table. She wound both arms around Jack, and hugged him for dear life, sobbing into his chest.

"I still think we should have taught him a lesson." Muttered Jake, despair in his eyes as he watched Rose cry.

"A part of me thinks we should've done too, but I don't really think I'm the violent type anymore." Mickey whispered back.

"Me neither! She's turned me into flippin' Yin!" Jake grinned at that. He didn't really mind at all.

"Well, I always thought you were too tough an egg to crack, Jakey boy, but I obviously got it wrong." Whispered Mickey, grinning back.

They draped their arms over eachother and turned back to what really mattered

"Well, you've cracked Jake's violent streak." Gwen muttered "Now time for his hairstyle."

Jake frowned at that.

"Hey! I thought you liked my hair!" Jake cried, defensively.

Rose turned her head away from Jack's chest, her expression a little happier.

"You're hair's brilliant, Jakey, don't listen to Gwen." Rose replied, trying to sound stern "Though, you have great hair too, Gwennie."

"Hey! What about me?" Cried Jack and Ianto.

"You have great hair too, boys." Rose rolled her eyes at them.

"And me?" Mickey asked, expectantly.

Rose grinned.

"You don't have any hair." She replied, before they all started laughing, hysterically.

Her laughing soon turned back to crying, and the mood in the room quickly dampened.

"He was just being stupid, Rosie. He didn't mean it." Jake muttered, pulling her into a hug.

Rose nodded.

"I know. But it's not just that. I honestly meant what I said. We're all here because of the doctor. I'm half human because of the doctor. I spent six months as a psycho because of the doctor.... I've died because of the doctor. I umm...-" Mickey cut Rose off.

"You're just making this up as you go along, aren't you?" Mickey sighed.

"Yes." Rose admitted "But there are some things that I'm not going to put up with. His ego, his hormonal Donna temper, his tendency to be a blind idiot, his avoiding talking about feelings, and ESPECIALLY his tendency to snog French tarts. None of us are going to be tin dogs anymore, Micks."

"You were never a tin dog." He muttered.

"Oh I was!" Rose insisted "Especially when someone more exciting came along."

"He's an idiot." Muttered Jack.

"I know." She sighed "But unfortunately, he's my idiot. I can't seem to be able to live without him. Or the thought of getting back to him."

Everyone sat in silence for a few moments after that. Everyone except Mickey still wanted to throttle him.

"So... Are you gonna go find him, then?" Asked Ianto.

"Naah. I think I'll leave it for a couple of days. I have to sort some things out first." She smiled, shaking her head.

They all nodded, smiling.

"And now... I really wanna go home." Rose smiled, picking up her teleport and wriggling out from under the table.

Everyone else followed after her.

"Blimey!" Mickey cried, staring at his watch "I think I'd better be heading off, too! Time does fly."

They all nodded, smiling.

"Well... See 'ya tomorrow then, peepz!" Rose forced a grin, poising her hand to activate her teleport.

"Hang on, Rosie!" Gwen grasped her hand before she could hit the button "Do you want us to come with you?"

Rose smiled at her, sadly.

"Naah, I'm allright." She sighed "I have to figure this one out on my own. Or... maybe with my mum."

Gwen nodded.

"Give us a call, eh?" Gwen smiled as Rose nodded.

"And me." Said Jack.

"And me." Said Ianto.

"And Us!" Said Mickey and Jake.

Rose grinned and nodded, then pressed down on her teleport. Everyone sighed as she disappeared.

"She's gonna be crying all night." Mickey said, sadly.

Jack ground his teeth at that.

"I think it's time I gave this doctor a little pep talk on how we want our girl treated." He muttered.

"Good Idea." Agreed everybody else.

Mickey yawned, loudly. Jack raised his eyebrows.

"Tomorrow?" He asked.

Everyone nodded.

"But I don't think we should bring Derek." Replied Gwen "Rose will not thank anyone if her Doctor gets murdered."

They all smiled fondly at the thought of their over-protective, drama queen of a friend. He did take the whole protecting Rose thing a bit too far.

"Ok... We'll see you losers tomorrow!" Grinned Jack, taking Ianto's hand, and disappearing.

"See ya, Gwennie!" Grinned Mickey and Jake, doing exactly the same.

Gwen shook her head, and hit down on her teleport, too.

Tomorrow was not going to be a good day to be the Doctor.
