Once again, I don't own Twilight. This one I wrote myself. :)
This is dedicated to Lincoln.
Standing where I am now
Standing where I stand now,
My mind in the past.
Running, hiding, fighting,
Have come to an end at last.
The horrors I've been through,
The sick things I've seen.
Standing here now,
Still feels like a dream.
When the war began,
I had not a thought.
Of how it happened,
Of how I fought.
The screaming of people,
Being murdered and scared.
Dead corpses on the ground,
How could I have cared?
Prowling through shadows,
Hiding in Hell.
My best friends' long dead,
No story to tell.
"Whiz," goes the bullet,
Right past my ear.
I didn't dare shout out,
Or give away my fear.
With that moment gone,
I got up and ran.
Towards the person shooting,
With my gun in my hand.
I tried not to think that,
I'd killed in cold blood.
As fast as the wind,
I'd run through the mud.
I try to forget now,
As I look through the mist.
Seeing a red sunrise,
My hands curl to fist.
As I think on those days,
Being scared, feeling hunted.
My limitations' stretched,
My senses now blunted.
As I look to the ground,
Turning to tears.
A red rose amongst green,
The fuel of my fears.
But it's all peaceful now,
I've nothing left to give.
These memories will be with me,
Forever- While I Live.
Hope you enjoyed this last enstallement :) I actually wrote this for my english class a couple years ago.
I think this isn't as good as my brother's but all well :)
