Roy Eberhardt was a 16 year old high school boy who used to live in Montana but was now moving to Florida.

Roy's POV: Of the last 6 places I've lived, Montana was the best. The snow covered peaks, the rolling mountains, the beautiful rivers. For the first time in my life I felt like I was really home. But then my dad dropped the bomb, we were moving again, this time all the way to Florida. Mom said it was so sunny and gorgeous that everybody wanted to live their. Everybody except me and as usual I was voted out. They gave me the same old speech about being the new kid. They said I would love it their and would make new friends.: End POV.

But it didn't seem like they were right at first because Roy was not enjoying it. He was just sitting on the bus when this big kid came and pushed him against the window. "Had enough cowgirl." The boy insulted Roy. But before Roy could answer he noticed something. Some kid roughly the same age as him was running miles and was barefoot. Roy was so distracted that he forgot about the bully but then remembered. "Yeah, okay, I've had enough." Roy conceded.

"Let me be the first to welcome you to Coconut Cove." The bully said.

Meanwhile a police car had just pulled up. The cop known as Officer Delinko stepped out and noticed a billboard. "Oh well where getting a Mother Paula's, how about that?" He said to himself. Suddenly another man came to him.

"About time you got here!" He said. "Over here." The man showed him some "They yanked up all my survey stakes they either snuck in here last night or early morning."

"Okay can you at least give me a monitory estimate on the damage done?" Delinko asked.

"What do you mean?" Asked the man. "Sir in order for this to be vandalism there has to be damage, like something has to be damaged or defaced."

"There screwing up all the construction." He retorted. "Sir I copy that and I'll do the best I can, keep my eyes and ears open and tell my fellow officers."

Roy's POV: Every new school was different but somehow they were always the same. And day one was never the same.

A teacher was teaching his class when Roy came in. "You must be Mr. Eberhardt from..."

"Montana." Roy answered.

"I'm Mr. Ryan. Have a seat." He said before continuing.

Roy sat down next to a boy. "Hey I saw what happened on the bus. Don't take it personally Dana screws with all the new kids. Just play dead for the next few days and eventually he'll forget that your alive." "I'm Garret." The boy introduced himself.

"Roy."

Later Roy and Garret were out walking and talking.

"Six schools on the last eight years. What are you in the witness protection program?" Garret asked Roy.

"No my dad's work makes us move around a lot." Roy explained before asking something. "Hey are there any other schools around here?"

"Why you sick of this one already." Garret asked. "No, just I saw this weird kid on the way to school and I don't see him here, So I figured he must not go to school here. He was running like crazy with no shoes." Garret didn't approve of this.

"You've already got a psycho bully on your hands. Maybe you oughta slow down on the nut job collecting. Plus you know it's only day one." Garret advised.
