Chapter 1: Origins.

"This is Captain Joseph West, all hands to battle stations, Banished forces have been spotted near the infinity's debris field I repeat, Banished Forces have taken occupation of the Infinity's remains!" A tinned voice exclaimed over the Intercom.

A tall, brown haired middle aged man ran into a large room, said room was full of large mechanical devices. With each device being accompanied by two or three technicians.

The man stepped onto one of the devices, and a circular machine with multiple arms and tools dropped down from the ceiling.

"John, Sierra 117, Authorisation Code: Alpha, Bravo, Romeo, Sam. Additional Code: Red Flag." He told the machine, which had asked him for certain things.

Baddump. Went the man's heart, beating at a faster rate than that of a regular human, but still slow enough to be considered 'normal' for one of his particular branch of the military.

The arms of the circular machine thus came to life, reaching down into hidden compartments and storage units in order to bring out pieces of armour and equipment.

The automated assembler, with the assistance of the technicians, began attaching each and every Dark Green part to the man's Nano skin under-suit, connecting joints, relays, and equipment panels together with relative ease.

An advanced helmet was then enclosed around the man's head, snapping a golden visor into place across his face, shielding his electric blue eyes from the world and finishing off the completion of the Mjolnir Armour fitting process.

"Incoming Plasma rounds and boarding ships, all fireteams and marine platoons to the hangars, our reinforced doors and outer shielding will only hold for so long!" Exclaimed Captain West.

John nodded to the technicians, who quickly checked that his shield recharge time, HUD features, and equipment packs were all in working order.

"You're all good to go Master Chief." Reported one of the technicians, who then backed away from his console.

John was then decoupled from the armour assembly device and fell to the floor, landing in a crouched position.

"Get me a weapon." He ordered, looking directly at two of the other technicians, who then quickly ran over to the nearby armoury to pick up a MA40 Assault Rifle, a few magazines, a pair of Fragmentation grenades and a SRSS99-AM Sniper Rifle.

The technicians then ran back over and gave the items to the Spartan, who was patiently going through a few more armour tests.

(Meanwhile)

Explosions rocked the UNSC Into the Brink as it held back the invasion force, MAC rounds flinging from its main batteries as it enacted emergency manoeuvres.

Point defence rockets and automated machine guns pounded into the oncoming boarding craft, hoping to keep them back or destroy them completely.

However, their efforts were in vain. For the Banished had upgraded not only their battleships, but their smaller craft Aswell.

(Back inside)

Master Chief entered the hangar Bay, rifle trained on the damaged, but not yet destroyed, hangar Bay door.

He made sure to close and lock the main blast door behind him after a few platoons of marines came through, that way if any boarding craft managed to survive the fight, their passengers would have a difficult time gaining access to the rest of the ship.

The Green armoured spartan looked out of the transparent metal window, wincing internally as several other UNSC support ships were destroyed by enemy carriers.

The battle was not going well.

John 117, The Master Chief, was in fact a Second Generation Spartan Super Soldier from the planet REACH, one of the most elite warriors of the entire UNSC. He had destroyed two halo rings and put an end to the invasion of earth from both the covenant and the flood alike.

He had then personally destroyed High Charity, the Covenants main base of command. Not to mention he stopped the second coming of the Forerunner Didact himself, just a few years after saving earth!

On top of this, he had put a stop to a rogue AI, who had once been his partner, and then destroyed a Third Halo ring to halt the plans of the banished.

The man had clearly earned the right to be called a Hyper-Lethal Vector. And he certainly deserved the respect that came with being the Master Chief.

As John waited for the boarding ships to blast through the hangar bay, he silently vowed to avenge all those who had perished in these last few decades of war.

Captain Keyes, Miranda Keyes, Sgt Johnson and of course, his Spartan brothers and sisters.

'This is for humanity.' John told himself, keeping his finger ever close to the trigger..

"Banished boarding transport incoming people! Time to impact, twelve seconds." Captain West warned.

"Six seconds."

"EYES ON TARGET MARINES!" Yelled a UNSC sergeant. Pointing to the hangar door.

"outer shields are failing, prepare for enemy engagement!"

"Safeties off!" Yelled another sergeant.

"3."

"2"

CRASH!

The hangar doors exploded outwards, revealing a small group of banished boarding ships. Specifically, Spirits.

"FEET FIRST INTO HELL!" Exclaimed the Odsts, opening fire upon all enemy combatants they could see.

Crowds of enemy soldiers rushed forwards after jumping out from the spirit's ramps, firing out different bolts of plasma at the waiting UNSC personnel.

John ran straight towards the aliens, unloading a full clip into the enemy crowd as he did so. Grunts and jackals alike fell before him, their primed plasma grenades detonating as soon as their bodies hit the floor. Leaving craters of Ash and bluish purple fire behind.

Chief ejected the now empty clip from his MA40 assault rifle, punching aside a camouflaged elite before he then grabbed a fresh clip from his magnetic ammo belt.

Five elites carried out a shade turret emplacement, screwing it to the floor before then powering it up. Using it to put down marines left and right like they were animals. Like it was a game of sport. Once he had reloaded his own weapon, John growled before firing concentrated bursts into a shade turrets light shielding, overloading the recharge circuits, thus rendering the occupant unprotected.

He then flung a singular frag grenade into the area around the shade turret. And upon impact, chunks of shrapnel cascaded everywhere, terminating the elite commander.

Three precise beams of pulsed plasma hit John's shield from the side, sending his shield power plummeting down to fourty five percent.

Cursing the hidden snipers, Chief ejected a drop down shield from his equipment slot, causing a half dome of shielding to erect itself in front of him. Protecting the spartan from anymore enemy fire from that direction.

After Allowing a few seconds for himself to one, reload his weapons and two, recharge his shields. The super soldier decided to pull out his secondary weapon, a SRSS99-AM sniper rifle.

Waiting for the red shine of the jackals targeting laser to reflect off of his visor, John located his target, judged the trajectory and air speed using his HUD, and then took them out.

Three bullets, three targets, three less of the Banished soldiers to deal with. The Spartan went to reload his sniper, only to be tackled from behind.

Chief's shields failed and the spartan turned around to see a large, heavily armoured brute with an unusually designed plasma mallet.

"Hello little demon, are you prepared to join your brethren in death?" it chuckled darkly.

From the markings on it's face alone, John knew who this was. The dreaded Atriox.

"Cortona, try and recharge my shields." Chief muttered quickly. Ignoring the breathlessness that came from the impact he had endured. Atriox walked forwards, slamming his weapon into John, sending the Spartan flying into a damaged Pelican.

Chief tried to fight back, but Atriox would not let up, he was too brutal.Too strong.

"My face will be the last you will Ever see." Atriox snarled, picking the Spartan up by his neck. Johnhowever, was not as weak as Atriox thought. He was the freaking master chief after all!

"Doubt It!" 117 exclaimed, grabbing the spike grenade that he had hid behind his back, and slammed it into the Brute's chest plate.

The explosion from not only the spike grenade, but also the collision of a Banished carrier into the super frigate both warriors were currently on, sent both soldiers flying into the vacuum.

Simultaneously, both ship's slipspace drives detonated, creating an unusual rift in space time.

Everything surrounding and within the two ships were pulled into the event horizon, but then, the singularity vanished.

Leaving no trace of them behind except for a few pieces of wreckage, and of course the corpses of dead military personnel. UNSC and Banished alike.

(Earth 238. Near the ISS)

A large vortex opened up in the middle of space, it's outer wave fluxing with purple, red and white particles.

Two large, heavily damaged vessels fell through, their hulls alight with flame as they span out of control and into earth's gravitational pull.

Debris and other objects also fell through the unusual rift before the vortex snapped shut, boggling the minds and eyes of the NASA scientists who were on-board the Space Station.

"Uhh, Houston. We have a problem, maybe two." One of the scientists said, a look of worry on her face.

(National City)

"Breaking news, two unidentified objects have appeared next to the ISS during one of it's live streams. The objects are being tracked by multiple stations, military and civilian alike and is projected to land in the outlands of our fair City. We will be bringing you the news as it comes in."

Kara Danvers looked up from her coffee, an eyebrow raised in intrigue at that development.

"Alex, I'm heading out. Say hi to Winn and Jo'nn for me." She called from the living room, opening up her shirt to reveal the symbol of the house of El.

It was time for the girl of Steel, aka Supergirl, to investigate.

~ - ~

Alarms sounded loudly in John's helmet, waking the man from his unconscious state. The Master Chief groaned as he pushed himself off of the ground, wincing as his HUD blazed red with system failures. The gel layer inside of his armour had cushioned most of the impact, as had his shields, but his muscles still ached.

"Cortona?" he called out with a wince, pushing some debris out of his helmet's way with some difficulty due to the amount of cargo that had landed near him.

Where was his blasted AI partner?

"I-I am sorry John, I was out of it for a moment. I have temporarily rerouted programs to repair any damage done to your hardware. But it will take time, meanwhile I am detecting hundreds of banished signatures, as well as UNSC marines, however there are also others I do not recognise." She replied, her hologram coming to life in his HUD.

Chief blinked his eyes. "And they need me, they need the Master Chief, Humanity always needs a Spartan, so get up John." He muttered darkly, forcing himself to move the debris that was on top of him.

Doctor Halsey had said he was lucky, more so than a normal person, but all he felt was that his life was a constant burden. He didn't mind, because he knew nobody else could carry it but him.

War and survival was, after all, all he had ever known. He had been groomed, trained and even surgically adjusted to become the soldier humanity needed.

But he had failed. And humanity was near the brink of extinction because of his failure.

"S-Sorry Chief, But I'm going to have to go into hybernation mode. My code is damaged and I'll just be a hindrance to you, see you later big guy." Cortona told him before dissappearing from his HUD.

Barry bowed his head, clenching his fingers in a silent rage. "Atriox needs to die, then I will find a way to fix you." He promised, picking up a SPNKR rocket launcher that was on the floor

He made sure it was fully loaded before he kicked open the damaged wall, revealing the hot desert outside. It was time to kick some serious banished ass.

"I heard something!" the high pitched voice of a grunt said from nearby, making the master chief growl.

The man placed the rocket launcher on his back, making sure it was secure before he swapped it out for his MA40.

He checked the digital Ammo counter, and it read twenty seven. He knew he had two more magazines, thirty two rounds per mag, meaning he only had about ninety one shots left.

Damn, he'd have to search for more ammo or weaponry as he fought. It wasn't that much of a worry, but it was still a hassle to do while in combat.

The Spartan flicked off his gun's safety, making sure the weapon wasn't damaged before he engaged his active camouflage unit.

His armour flickered, creating an energy field that bent light around him. Allowing him to become near invisible to the naked eye, so anybody else that even looked in his direction would only just see a shimmer.

Almost akin to that of fumes from gas.

The only downside would be that his body heat was now increased by twenty percent, allowing anybody using infra red or a thermal scope would be able to spot him easier than others.

"Huh, I swore I heard a voice.." The grunt said, having just climbed up and into the room. He was followed by a female grunt and two elites.

"Small Brother, are you sure you heard a voice? Perhaps it was merely the wreckage settling-"

"I don't lie! I, the Biglip snubtub, swears by Atriox's left toe that I heard something!" the grunt replied, nervously messing with it's plasma pistol.

One of the elites hummed in thought, narrowing it's reptilian like eyes in order to concentrate on the area the grunt claimed to have heard a noise. Before it moved forwards to investigate, a single bullet grazed it's shields, causing them to flash blue.

"THE DEMON IS HERE!" the other elite exclaimed, placing it's plasma rifle on its back before pulling out a plasma sword from it's side. Eager to battle the Legendary Spartan. John decloaked, rifle up. "Indeed" He darkly joked, pulling the trigger.

The elites rushed forwards, ignoring the fact that their shields were slowly failing due to the onslaught of gunfire from 117's weapon. As the first elite jumped for him, Chief butted the alien in the face with the stock end of his rifle, sending the alien into the nearby wall.

The Spartan then clipped the rifle to his side before firing a grapple hook directly at the other elite, causing the steel wire to wrap around the aliens throat. He pulled the elite forward, head-butting it in the face before turning on his high output electroshock mode. Causing bolts of white hot electricity to surge through the elite, frying the creature's shields and organs.

John flicked his wrist, deactivating his electric hook before letting it retract back into his arm. Allowing the elite corpse to fall the ground, dead. The remaining Elite growled and went to rush 117 again, only for him to be confused as John merely pointed at his own back.

The elite looked confused before it then felt up it's own back, recognising too late that the primed orb of a plasma grenade was stuck-

BOOM!

Both elites were now terminated.

The Grunts looked at each other before turning around, screaming their heads off as they ran from John. However, before they got far, Barry had put them down with two precise shots to the back of the head.

"Hope there is a hell after all, that way I can see you guys there later..." the Spartan muttered, reloading his weapons before he stocked up on Banished weaponry. It wasn't like they were gonna use it anymore.

(Meanwhile)

"Who is she?" A grunt asked, pointing up at the sky.

For there, floating above the remaining banished and UNSC forces. Was Supergirl.

"And how is she floating?" Another grunt asked.

"Who cares, kill her! She is only human!" An elite said, ordering his men to start firing bolts of plasma, fuel cells, and Needler rounds at her. Soon enough, all of the banished forces did so.

Temporarily ignoring their UNSC foes for the moment.

Supergirl winced as the bolts hit her, eyes widening in shock as she actually felt some of them dig into her skin.

Multiple small burn marks appeared across her arms and legs, causing the girl of steel to find cover.

"What is this crap!?" she muttered, having landed and hid behind an upturned, burning Warthog. She wasn't expecting their weapons to even graze her, most alien tech didn't!

Clearly, these weapons were advanced.

They probably couldn't kill her, but they could still cause quite a bit of damage.

And Kara really didn't want to feel pain at this particular moment, she needed to think of how to deal with these guys..

"Uhh, Ma'am. You alright?" Asked one of the UNSC marines. Who had also taken cover behind that piece of debris.

Was she alright? Kara honestly couldn't tell. she Just wished Alex or Clark was with her, they would know what to do...

(End of chapter 1)

Needler gun: purple crystallised shards of an explosive gas substance , one shard doesn't do much damage. However a bunch of them colliding together can create a small explosion due to a chain reaction.

Plasma pistol: two modes, quick fire and mega bolt. Quick fire shoots multiple small bolts of green plasma, minimal damage. Mega bolt is a large charged bolt of green plasma, can bring down shields and temporarily shut down tech.

Plasma carbine: plasma rifle with a cylindrical magazine, shoots multiple pulsed bolts of blue plasma. Medium damage.

Phased rifle: sniper rifle that fires large bolts of hot, phased pink plasma. Can kill in one hit, usually takes two or three. Damage, high.

Halo Plasma sword: search up on Google.

Mangler: shotgun that fires red hot rounds of ammo, can pierce armour quickly. Medium damage.

Plasma grenade: blue orb of explosive plasma, press Once and then put on or throw at target. Once stuck, it is impossible to remove. Instant medium damage explosion.

Spiked grenade: cylinder grenade with small spike on end, digs into target, hard to get off, can either fry technology or explode. Medium damage.

MA40 assault rifle: fires mettalic sharp rounds of ammo in quick succession, medium damage.
