Chapter 7: The Loki Familia & The Argonaut
Darkness covered the sky as the executives. Or rather the ones who stayed and looked for Argo, Ais, and Tione were all in the room pondering at where the group must have escaped to. Loki was nearly bouncing around the office as she freaked out about Argonaut being with Ais. Who was so aloof she probably wouldn't even understand he was hitting on her until it was too late.
Finally a voice broke the silence. The sound of the captain of the Familia rang around the room as if he was the god and Loki was his child.
"So why exactly shouldn't we let the Argonaut near Ais or rather. Any female in the Familia Loki." Finn said with a deadpan expression. He was the most protective one out of everyone in the room. He was essentially the counter part to Mama Riveria. Except nobody dared to call him Papa Finn in fear of how the pummel of his spear would beat them.
"Well… He uh" Loki tried to find ways to explain it. She was in a tight bind after all. Argo had more dirt on her than he even knew what to do with. That and his common ideal of swooning girls left a bitter taste in her mouth whenever she thought about it.
"He's lecherous. If he finds a girl he fancies come hell or high water the boy will do anything to get her." Loki admitted taking a seat in her cushy chair. She figured she let it all out before Argo got the chance to find out what she was doing. "His dumb heroics are just borderline idiotic. He'll challenge anyone or anything if he thinks he can make a story out of it" Loki continued.
"So. Why did you invite him? Aside from him being a hero why did you let him join our Familia? We are the executives of this Familia. We deserve to know something" Finn explained in a less than kind fashion. Delving more into an interrogation like tone than anything else.
Loki gave a smile in response. "Why?" She questioned throwing her hands up in a shrug. "Because he's funny to have around, and dangerous if he's in any other Familia" Loki explained as if it wasn't obvious already. "Plus it gives me a chance to stick it to another certain Goddess so that's always a reason as well." Loki made a point to not say which Goddess she was talking about. Since there were a few, and some were much more dangerous than others.
"Right." Finn said sighing rubbing his fingers over his eyelids. "Bete for the time being don't bother the Argonaut. There's no telling what he can actually do" Finn admitted in an order to the werewolf.
The same werewolf was brooding next to the window his gaze transfixed on the courtyard people came in from. "No promises" Bete replied. In truth he wanted to fight the Argonaut for his own reasons. In the tales that were spun the boy was the person who healed his ancestors heart, and if that was the case could he heal his?
"Sounds good enough" Finn admitted. He knew Bete was the hardest person in the Familia to control. His past so deeply rooted in loss. The Captain couldn't hold his anger against him. Since his anger wasn't at a singe person, but the world itself and all those weaker than himself.
"Alright. Then what else should we know about the newcomer?" A emerald haired high elf questioned. Riveria was rather interested in the boy whom lived prior to the Era they lived in now. The only person in the room with any idea was Loki after all.
"Hmmm" Loki said tapping her chin. "Well he killed a Minotaur that was about the same strength as the lower floor creatures. He had a pact with a spirit called Jupiter who was actually just Zeus under another alias" Loki said flicking over those facts like they didn't matter. "He turned an entire kingdom against their king with his extreme persuasion skills, oh…" Loki said taking a moment. "What else was there uhhh.. It was on the tip of my tongue." Loki thought scratching her head. "Oh yeah he stole the princess" Loki finally remembered beating down her fist into her palm.
A cold sweat soon running down her brow. The others were sweating as well. They remembered the Zeus Familia fairly well. A shiver of fear overcame them as they realized his intentions could be against their own.
"Y-You mean he had a pact with Zeus" Finn began gripping the Goddesses shirt. "AND YOU STILL LET HIM IN AFTER WE KICKED ZEUS OUT!" Finn had no choice but to raise his voice in frustration. His idiotic Goddess had most likely brought a bomb into their Familia.
"They're back" Bete said with a calm and collected tone. His quick hands instantly opening the window he jumped from. Followed by all the executives in the Loki Familia. All except Loki who in her form had to run down the stairs to try and see what would happen.
