Chapter 8: The Argonauts Promise

As the three came into view Argo stopped pretending to be asleep slithering his feet from the easy grasp of Tione muttering something in his ear, and then slamming those same feet into her back and knocking her into Tiona's arms. Argo wasn't done yet however.

Before Ais could even blink she felt an unfathomable force kick her side sending her flying at blinding speeds towards the other executives. Gareth and Finn when saw the strike moved quickly to stop the girl as their gazes fell onto the Argonaut.

His right hand moved out in front of him. His eyes transfixed before him. The entire Loki Familia was outside watching by this point.

"Descend Sword of Thunder" Argo said with a stern tone. Without a moment of hesitation the once clear sky covered in cloud. The lightning flashed before crashing before the Argonaut with a deafening boom. In the place of the lightning bolt was a golden sword unlike that of anything the Familia had seen before.

In that moment. Nobody dared speak. Nobody dared to question his previous actions. There was no longer any thoughts of lies in their heads. The man before them was none other than a legendary hero. One whom still held his pact with a spirit as well as received a Falna from a god. He was undeniably an unnatural force to not stir or upset.

It wasn't much longer until the smile left Argo's face. His second hand placed itself upon the pummel of the sword of thunder.

"HEAR ME NOW LOKI FAMILIA" Argo spoke in a voice they'd never heard before. His normal jovial demeanor gone. The man and tone that met their ears was none other than an oppressive and commanding one. One that demanded them to listen else the sword before him would fall upon them.

"YOU WILL REVOKE YOUR EXILE OF ZEUS. YOU WILL DO SO NOT BECAUSE I THREATEN YOUR LIVES BUT BECAUSE YOUR ACTIONS HAD NO BACKING. YOUR IRRESPONSIBLE DECISION DROVE A WEDGE BETWEEN THE UNION OF ALL BEINGS I DIED BRINGING TOGETHER. A ACTION THAT I REFUSE TO ALLOW. ON MY NAME AS A HERO I WILL NOT LET THESE ACTS REMAIN UNPUNISHED. IF ANY OF YOU REFUSE THIS COMMAND I THE ARGONAUT WILL GO TO WAR WITH EVERYONE BEFORE ME EVEN IF THEY WERE ONCE MY FRIEND! EVEN IF THE WHOLE WORLD DARES TO DEFY I WILL FIGHT ON!"

The longest and most stern statement the Argonaut had given since his resurrection. The one that wasn't meant to brings smiles, but a promise to someone who saved him. Yes his morals, and pride wouldn't allow this Loki Familia continue to exile his benefactor.

It took the Loki Familia a few moments to ponder. On one hand he was a hero from the past, however his blatant threat of war wasn't to be unpunished. So none other than Finn stepped forward. The Braver was the only one who could handle this. As the captain of the Familia it was him who was meant to spearhead situations like this.

"Finn… Be careful of that blade" Loki warned as she stayed behind. She looked away. She wouldn't admit it, however she loved her children, but she loved Argo as well. He and Hermes were the only ones who accepted her, and for that she knew that she wouldn't be able to watch knowing the Argonaut might not survive.

Finn gave a nod as he walked forward. His spear held in his right hand. "You demands fall upon deaf ears I'm afraid. To allow him back would mean we were wrong for casting him out. Our reputation would be stained. I will not allow that!" Finn said with determination in his voice.

"Reputation? Because you were wrong?" Argo said looking down for a moment before raising his head back up with a forced smile. "Bullshit" The Argonaut said lifting his sword.

Suddenly Finn felt as though his finger was going to fall off. His body sweat from every pore on his body. As he looked at the Argonaut who'd only just raised his blade. Who had no style, but yet he was still formless and somehow always in a position where Finn would miss even while right in front of him.

"Your reputation is more important than protecting Orario is that it? DO YOU REALLY THINK ONLY YOUR FAMILIA MATTERS" Argo howled swinging his sword of thunder as a shock wave of lightning shot towards the Pallum.

Within moments the Pallum was shocked by heavenly lightning. Something of which he was not ready to handle. It didn't end there as Argo drew his flaming sword from his back sending a pillar of flames into the cloudy night sky letting all of Orario know what was happening.

Before be brought down the blade three figures stood before Finn.

Loki's out stretched arms were the first thing he noticed. Next were the two shivering girls Ais and Tione. He didn't see them though. He saw Olna and Ariadne. The two princesses who set his heart ablaze. The same girls he'd kicked aside and tricked.

"THIS ISN'T THE ARGONAUT I KNOW" Tione screamed. "LOOK AT YOU. YOU AREN'T EVEN SMILING ANYMORE" The young amazonian screamed again. A pitch that broke the Argonaut from his anger.

He wanted vengeance. He wanted to help the man who saved him, but was this the right way.

Drip… Drip… Drip

A warm liquid fell down his cheeks as he noticed his tear were falling without a moment of pause. He'd really attempted to take someones life. All because their ideals differed. Not for justice alone. He'd already won with the first strike. There wasn't a point in finishing the Pallum.

Thoughts coursed through the Argonauts head. His facial features changed. His heart waved as the Sword of Thunder disbersed. His body shook with a shame he'd never felt before. He was so fast the people before him couldn't even see the movements.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" The boy screamed as he ran away. A scream of woe. A scream that echoed a sadness like no other. A scream that even broke the hearts of the Loki Familia who weren't even sure if they were in the right anymore.

For a moment silence filled the courtyard. Nobody could speak. Tione, Ais, and Loki fell to their knees as they felt weak. The two girls weren't sure why, but it felt like their hearts were torn apart by the tears left behind himself.

Loki felt weak. "You idiot" The trickster said softly as her own tears fell down her cheeks. "I love you idiot. You'd better come back" Loki mumbled to herself. The words only heard by the executives. Who couldn't stop looking at the ground. After all Argo wasn't wrong. They pushed out a Familia built with heroes. They were the part of the villains of this story.
