Chapter 11: The Guild
It was early the next morning as Loki strolled into the guild hall. Today she brought not only Ais as a guard, but almost every executive of the Loki Familia. Which caused eyes to constantly follow them as they entered the building and even on the streets as they traveled.
Ais stared straight towards Eina with determined eyes. "Tell Royman to get over here on the double." Loki said with a cold and less than energetic tone. Dark bags hung under her eyes as Eina couldn't help but notice.
Loki didn't sleep much last night. Even when retiring to her room at night she couldn't sleep. The issues from the night before weighed on her like a ton of bricks. She had doubled down on her decision bringing her whole Familia's first class adventurers with her to make a statement that she was to be attended to sooner rather than later.
And luckily for her it wasn't much later that Royman ran down the hall. His stomach jiggling as he ran. Even though he wasn't far from the reception area when he arrived he gave a heavy sigh before speaking. "L-Lady Loki how can I help you" Royman questioned kindly. He also noticed the bags under the normally well rested god. Causing him to worry for his safety should he say the wrong thing.
"You remember when Freya and I kicked out Zeus and Hera with the war games?" Loki said glaring down at the elderly Elf. Her tone was that of a coiled python ready to strike should Royman take the wrong step.
"Y-Yes. I remember" Royman said gulping back some spit in his throat. "If I remember correctly both Loki and Freya Familia asked for them to be removed from the city." Royman said with a calm tone trying to remember where his backbone was as his right hand moved to his back making sure it was still there.
"I want to revoke my part on their Exile. I want that to be spread across Orario and further as well. Make sure the entirety of Elegia knows about it" Loki said with a calm and collected tone. Not an ounce of deception in her tone. Something that scared Royman more than he cared to admit.
"B-But that would put you at odds with Freya Familia… Why have you changed your mind like this?" Royman questioned with a bit of hesitation. He was worried about a future war between Familias, however he dared not think who would win if they did end up fighting.
"I don't care about Freyas Familia. The reason I'm doing this is because if I don't then I'll lose one of my own children. I wont let that happen Royman, and Freya isn't so dumb as to attack me over that. So long as she doesn't revoke her part nothing will change" Loki said with a tone that seemed to challenge Royman.
She wasn't worried about those Familia anymore. Bother Hera and Zeus were once a threat, or rather a wall nobody could climb over, however now they were nothing more than history. Loki assumed they wouldn't upset the balance even if they did come back.
"I-I understand… I'll send the message immediately" Royman said. His will totally faltering to the drained Goddess. He wasn't sure why she wanted it to be broadcast across the continent, however Royman knew the Hermes Familia would love the task.
It wasn't much long until the Familia left the building. Upon leaving Loki's body tilted falling into Ais. For once the Sword Princess didn't knock her away. She'd noticed just like the rest of them the night had taken its toll on their Goddess.
The Familia members didn't even flinch as Ais lifted their goddess in a princess like style. Their eyes were towards the ground. They felt weak being unable to cheer up their Goddess, and a flame like rage bellowed in all of them knowing her state was due to the Argonaut or rather the lack of him.
All the same they pushed forward. They'd decided to take a bit longer until their next adventure into the dungeon to look after their Goddess for the time being. Soon enough they made their way to the twilight manor each of the executives taking shifts to watch over their Goddess.
