Can you look at someone and determine whether or not they're evil? Are we all born with evil lurking in our hearts? Do we choose to let it out or rein it in? If we do rein it in, can we only hold it for a certain amount of time before we break like a little glass bowl dropped on the floor? If you don't try hard enough, will the evil cloud your mind with images of horror and fill your dreams with death? If you don't try hard enough, will it crush you until you release it? Until you die from stress and terror? Until your mind is so unsafe that you go completely mad? Until you stop caring for anyone- including yourself?
Can you look at someone and determine whether or not they're a wreck? If they're face is covered in white powder to cover up the black and grey rings around their eyes from not sleeping? If they're torn up inside because they have no one who truly understands? No one who can honestly say they know what you're going through? No one to call their own? Not one person in the world who loves them for who they are, not what they are? Can you tell if they keep a façade up so long that they forget who they really are? Can you see the thoughts going through their mind, thinking of nothing but the welfare of others- everyone…but not themselves?
Can you look at someone and determine whether or not they've lost too many loved ones? What if they have? What if they have no family to say "Happy Frabjous Day" to? What if no one in the entire world was related to them? What if they're only biological kin was a blood thirsty monster? What if they themselves were a blood thirsty monster, under all the fluff? What if they hid it from their friends? What if they tried to hide it from themselves? What if they try so hard to stay away from anything that could be used for harm just to keep their evilness at bay? What if they took out their anger on themselves when it was deep into the night and no one was around to hear the sobs and the pain?
Can you look at someone and determine whether or not they've seen nasty things? Things no one should have to see? Things that can only be the product of a nightmare, a daydream gone bad, or an actual experience? Can you see if they've been covering up their pain- physical, mental, emotional? Is it possible to see if someone is missing someone is missing a person who is sitting next to them? Someone who's in a completely different world? Is it possible for someone to do that?
Is it possible for someone to handle all that without going crazy?
Yes.
