The questions did change, sort of. It became How did you two meet? How long have you been together?
You two are together, HOW?
How did you two not get together sooner?
Again it would depend on the person, their moods and the circumstance of the meeting and what was happening around them.
Sebastian was still very different from Kurt. He was still a tall athlete with a smart mouth and a cocky attitude but it was backed now by the love of a good man and the reassurance that he would always be there. He loved Kurt and he would never do anything to ruin that. Kurt was still his safe space, his place of imagination and dreams and he would always protect it, protect Kurt. This time though, that land of fantasy wasn't just in their heads anymore, a world only they could see. They would visit there together in person, and others could see in but couldn't actually see everything, they were still on the outside.
Kurt was still full of wonder and dreams and imagination but he was surrounded by people who appreciated it now. He could give attitude back still but he had no need usually. He was supported and loved by all those around him. They helped lift him up and he protected Sebastian just as much as Sebastian protected him. He was generally soft spoken, but not that little kid anymore, he'd grown into his own sometime in high school and had the friends that flocked to him.
Sebastian was still charming but his charm was all for Kurt these days.
Kurt never had to worry about Sebastian and despite their pasts, he never thought he would have to worry about Sebastian if they got together.
Together they were magic in all ways.
They'd visit Lima together, see Burt and his wife and her son.
Sebastian sat in the audience and supported and cheered Kurt and his band on.
They went to Paris and saw where Sebastian grew up, where he'd been dragged away from at the age of 13. They bought a house in Nice and vacationed there over the summer months.
Kurt moved into Sebastian's bedroom permanently pretty early on and they changed Kurt's room into a guest room for friends and family that wanted to crash over.
They went out and Sebastian didn't need to call Kurt, as Kurt was always there for him and would bring him home and see to him. He would make sure that Sebastian was safe and cared for.
Adam remained a friend and gave Sebastian the ring that he'd picked out for Kurt. Kurt and Sebastian talked about it and Kurt accepted it with Sebastian's blessing. It was always his ring for Kurt, that didn't change even if he had given it to Adam to give to Kurt. He was just using Adam as an intermediary.
Kurt surprised him by giving him Burt's wedding ring from his first marriage with Elizabeth. It meant a lot to Kurt to be able to give it to Sebastian and it meant a lot to Sebastian to receive it. They had created Kurt together and that had been a very special magic indeed. Neither believed in either ring being cursed, didn't believe in curses and would prove it.
They exchanged rings at a venue they'd fallen in love with that summer surrounded by all their loved ones and those they cared about. It was a surprisingly big wedding party despite trying to be an intimate gathering. They apparently cared about more people than Sebastian had originally realized.
The one he cared the most about held his hand throughout the ceremony. His parents stood proudly by and welcomed Kurt into the family warmly, he'd been part of them since the day he pulled Sebastian out of his petulant funk but now it was just official. Sebastian had been pulled into a strong clasp against Burt's chest and he hugged the older man back tightly. He was a second father to Sebastian and had been devastated by the health issues too and was glad he was firmly in recovery.
They were a family now and there was no way Sebastian would ever let it slip through his fingers. He would never not tell Kurt he loved him again, he would know just how much he loved and worshiped him.
Kurt never let him go a day without telling him how much he loved Sebastian too.
It had taken them awhile but they finally got it right and they would continue to get it right.
