It was a bright sunny afternoon with the sun shining relentlessly downwards towards the loud house. There was also the bright blue sky which was dotted with fluffy white clouds that drifted around the sky slowly.
Lincoln loud wasn't the most skilful baseball player, but he was not inexperienced either. He was new to the game, so Lynn had to teach him so rules. To be extra cautious Lincoln decided to wear some protective gear around his body because he was afraid that Lynn would accidentally hit the ball and injure his nose.
Lincoln decided to help Lynn with her basketball skills because he promised her yesterday that he would, and he thought it would be fun trying something new. He helps her with her baseball skills by switching between throwing the ball so that Lynn can hit it and hitting the ball so Lynn can catch it. Lincoln enjoyed throwing the ball at Lynn more because he was able to see Lynn whack the ball into the sky.
Every time Lynn would whack the ball with her bat, he couldn't keep his eyes off the ball while it travels through throw the air. The ball travelled as fast as a speeding train. Moving with such velocity that when Lynn hits the ball, the ball is already out of view into the void.
Lynn was glad that she sorted her issue out with Lincoln because she was able to focus on what mattered which was her rematch. She realized that she doesn't have that much time left until the game and she should make the most of her training. She was glad that her brother told her how to deal with her issues because he gave her a new outlook on her past issues and what she could have done to deal with those issues better. She learned that it was ok to be weak at certain points and ask others for help when needed.
They were an hour into their training which was filled up with many highs and lows. At times Lynn was at the top of the world and in control of her game however at times she was exhausted and had doubts about her skills.
Despite the challenges that were in front of her she kept pushing through them like a warrior. She realizes that it isn't always black and white when getting better at a skill there was a touch of grey in there. It wasn't a linear line going up It was actually going up and down by the setbacks in front of her.
Through her session, she picked up on some of the weaknesses she needed to improve such as her focus, technique, and endurance.
As the session got closer to being down, she felt accomplished that she could improve her skills and have some quality time with her brother. She was glad that she could rely on her brother as support when she needed him.
Lynn with worry in her voice "Lincoln how are you not tired and not hot as hell in that protective gear, it's like 30 degrees".
Lynn looking at Lincoln realized that Sweat was coming from his body and trying to catch his breath in the unbearable heat "I am feeling warm and tired, but this is going to be my last throw for a while I've got to go inside and get some rest for a bit. So, are you ready?"
Lynn nodded "Yeah, Lincoln I'm going to use some power with my next swing, so you got to be ready".
Lincoln gulped realizing that she wasn't trying "uh ok then try to give me your best shot" trying to hide the nervous in his voice wait she wasn't using any power with her previous swings man I'm so screwed if the ball hits me then it's probably going to penetrate through his Armor like daggers.
Lincoln grabs the white ball which feels like rubber. the centre of the ball is wrapped in a red yarn covered in leather. He then proceeds to squeeze it then throws it with all his might at Lynn. He then ducks to not get hit by the ball. With the force Lincoln put into throwing the ball, the ball travels at such a speed that when it leaves his hand Lynn has already hit the ball into the air. However, when Lynn was going to hit the ball, a random gust of wind throws her off which causes her to hit the ball at a weird angle which caused the direction of the ball to go flying to the tree which bounced off the tree and smashed Lisa's bedroom window.
She turns around to see Lisa's window smashed to pieces, her eyes widened in guilt because she didn't mean to break her window "Godammit the ball smashed Lisa's window what are we going to do Lincoln". With fear in her voice
Lincoln tries to sound confident and in total control "Don't worry Lynn I will think of a plan to get us out of this mess". But in the back of his mind, he knew she would find out eventually and he feared Lisa because he knew that she would properly use him for a dangerous experiment for payback.
As Lincoln was trying to stall for time to try to come up with a plan
Before Leni and Lisa were interrupted by Lisa's window getting shattered, they were doing a science experiment together. Leni decided to use her fashion skills to make herself a fancy lab coat for the experiment. The experiment was using the DNA of the loud family trying scientifically to prove the strengths and weaknesses of each sibling. she has always wanted to do this experiment however she always wanted to do it with someone because she wanted an outsider's opinion, but she didn't think she wouldn't be doing it with Leni and all her sisters. She didn't mind that it was Leni helping her but with someone with Lisa's intelligence, they seemed to be polar opposites.
Leni was the happy-go-lucky type of person. She was kind and caring and she was very good at talking to others. She was easy to be around because she always enjoyed other people's company. Her best trait was that always tried her best to help others, even if it involves her getting hurt.
Lisa, on the other hand, was the complete opposite of Leni she was quiet, lonely, and wasn't good at talking to others as Leni does like there isn't any kind of competition at all. Leni could walk to a random person and tell them her entire life story compared to Lisa got uncomfortable talking to her sibling because she was very different from the rest of them.
Lisa wasn't even sure what her best trait even was. She was very intelligent, but she was too intelligent for her own good because it always made her look down on others and seclude herself alone to work on her interests.
While her thoughts get interrupted by the smash of the window then Leni shrieks in terror
"Omg, it's raining baseballs run!" Leni says then proceeds to try to dash out of the room before any more can come in.
"It's not raining baseballs Leni because if it was raining baseballs" grabbing lenis arm to stop her" we would have seen more than one by now and they would be coming from the sky. it's Lynn's irresponsibility of not paying attention to her surroundings".
Leni was taken out of her trance "How can you say that it's Lynn's fault that your window is broken It could have been anyone else". Looks around the rook to find any potential clues.
"Because Lynn is the only person who plays with baseballs."
" Oh, I get it. We are like totes lucky that the ball didn't collide with us, or someone would have been sent to the hospital."
"Speaking about some getting sent to the hospital I got to get rid of the glass shards on the floor because I don't want you stepping on one and accidentally cutting yourself".
"Aww, that's sweet but how are we going to fix the window? Also, I don't mind cleaning up the glass with a dustpan and brush. "
"Don't worry Leni with my technological skills I will have this fixed in no time. The thing is Leni when I make, I mess in my room from my failed experiments most of the time I don't even clean up. That Leni is where I present the invention, I've been using for the last 2 years."
"Oh, oh what is it?"
Lisa with a rare sense of excitement in her voice says "Well, Leni I present to you. The one! The only! robot cleaner 4000!"
As Lisa presented the magnificent machine. Lenis eyes widened in amazement over the robot. She imaged all the endless possibilities that she could use the robot for. However, she decided to focus on what was in front of her instead of what was in her head.
Leni exclaims "Omg! It looks so cool how have I nether heard of this."
"That's because I use most of my inventions in school when I get bored doing basic nursey stuff furthermore no one rarely comes into my and lily's room, so they neither see the spare inventions I use for automation."
"Ok I understand that but. What happened to the first 3999?
Lisa sighs "I never made the first 3999. Leni, I called the robot cleaner 4000 because it sounded cool.
Leni with a confused expression" then how did you come up with robot cleaner 4000 if your nether build the first 3999?
"Like I said Leni because it sounds cool and grabs people's attention like it grabbed yours when I showed you it".
"Well, ok I guess I agree with you it does sound cool. But I got to see it in action to see if it's really deserving to be called that".
As with that, the grey robot with nuts and bolts sticking out of its chest like a sour thumb cleans the glass shards off the floor with a dustpan and brush.
Leni proceeds to hug the robot "Thanks, robot guy."
"Leni, can I jump on your shoulder so that I can look out of the window so that I can tell Lincoln and Lynn that I want them to come inside so I can show them the experiment we have been doing? "
"Of course, Lisa. I didn't know today I was going to give you a piggyback ride but what the heck."
"Look Leni it is not a piggyback ride" struggling to get on her back
As Lisa is finally able to get on lenis back, they proceed to walk to the broken window so Lisa can tell Lincoln and Lynn what she wants.
"Hey Lincoln and Lynn, I'm not mad about you smashing my window ok. I got my robot to fix the carnage. I just want you two to come upstairs and see my latest invention because it includes you both."
Both Lincoln and Lynn give each other confused looks and respond with "ok". Then they both begin to sprint into the house by going through the back door and then sprinting up the stairs to meet Lisa and unexpectedly Leni in her room.
"So, what do you want Lisa me and Lynn are in the middle of training."
"I was in the middle of my experiment until you smashed my window but that's beside the point."
Lincoln noticing that Leni is wearing a lab coat says worriedly Wait a minute why is Leni wearing a lab coat? Has Lisa gone crazy letting Leni in on her experiment so she could accidentally get hurt?
"Don't worry lincy Lisa wanted me to help her with her latest experiment which is using all the sibling's DNA and seeing what their strengths and weaknesses are. If nothing dangerous so don't worry about me getting hurt the most dangerous thing was the glass shards on the floor after Lynn smashed Lisa's window ".
"It was an accident a random gust of wind through me off". Said defensively.
"Wait Lisa how did you get all of our DNA." man I thought Lisa letting Leni help her with her experiment was going to be the weirdest thing but Lisa getting our DNA and using it as an experiment is way weirder".
Lisa clicks the button on her remote. With that pressed a huge screen comes from the ceiling which startles Lincoln and Lynn. The screen turns on with the Lincolns, Lynn, and lenis bodies in 3d holograms on the screen with arrows pointing out of their body describing their personality which is being shown on a black background with green text on it looking like the matrix.
"Woah this is so cool" Lincoln looked at the screen in disbelief" it's like we are in a real-life movie".
Lynn was also impressed by Lisa's invention" yeah it is describing our personalities perfectly". Looking at it in complete amazement
Lisa grinned proud of her work" that's the power of technology you can use it to create anything you want."
"You know what Lincoln I'm glad that I investigated your DNA because I always thought that you were adopted because of your white hair.
"Wait Lisa you thought I was adopted." this is getting weirder by the second.
"To be honest yeah, it's impossible or very unlikely that someone would be born with white hair while their parents have blonde and brown hair. I guess I can say Lincoln that you are truly one of a kind."
Leni gave a reassuring look "Don't worry lincy even if you were adopted, we wouldn't treat you any different". She then precedes to hug Lincoln.
"Umm thanks, Lisa and Leni I guess". What the hell is going on
Lincoln thinking about Lisa said could see why she thought he was adopted because of his hair. He did some research about people being born with white hair and he did see it was extremely rare to be born with it. The only reason why he did this was that someone from his school made up a roomer that he was adopted which made him ask his parents.
With an awkward silence, they decide to focus on what really matters.
Lisa sounding casual says "Ok, Lynn with the power of my technology it says that your strengths are that you are strong, courageous, and determined" Lisa realizes that she must read out Lynn's weakness which makes her gulp in fear because she is afraid of how she is going to react" however it says your weakness is that you are selfish, insecure, and irresponsible".
Lynn at first was happy at Lisa's response because in her mind she only focused on her strengths but when thought about her weakness, she couldn't deny that what Lisa said was true and it hurt her deep down.
"Lisa I've realized my weakness recently but are you saying that I can't fix them because it's in my DNA".
"You can't change DNA no matter how hard you try because you're always going to have those negative parts of you inside of you however you can reduce the use of those traits by going through self-reflection."
Lynn rethinking what she did earlier feels bad for what she did and says "Well sorry for being reckless breaking your window I will try not to be as reckless next time.
"Don't worry Lynn my reckless sister not everyone is perfect. I'm going to create an invention that can help you practice your skills."
Lynn excitedly says "Wait really! "
Yeah, it's going to be called. Pardon me for sounding stupid here. Operation force field.
