It had been a week since Spencer's lawyer had tried to get him released on bail and it hadn't happened. He was deemed too much of a flight risk.

Lorelai was going to visit him for the first time.

Spencer was brought out to the visitor area and they both sat down.

"I thought you were going to go into hiding," Spencer said quietly.

"I didn't exactly agree or disagree. I just didn't want to argue about it," Lorelai said

"Hailey needs to be protected," Spencer said.

"She is," Lorelai said. "I didn't go into hiding but I made the difficult decision to make sure she is somewhere safe."

Spencer nodded. "She is in the safest place with the safest person?"

"For now yes, I couldn't take care of her and also help prove your innocence," Lorelai said.

"Lorelai, the rest of the team is working on that. I need you to be safe," Spencer said.

"Spence I can take care of myself, I had to do so for a lot of years," Lorelai said.

"I know, but this is different and you know that," Spencer said.

"I have a lot of other people looking out for me too," Lorelai said.

Spencer sighed, "Lorelai, please."

Lorelai took a breath "how are you doing? Is there anything you need that I can get you?"

Spencer tilted his head his eyes sad, "you can do the one thing I am asking you do to."

Lorelai took a breath tears forming in her eyes.

"Please Lorelai, go be with Hailey," Spencer said.

"But you're here," Lorelai said taking a breath to calm herself. "How can I help you and be with her at the same time."

"You let the rest of the team help me," Spencer said.

"Would you if the roles were reversed?" Lorelai asked.

Spencer took a breath.

"I know you wouldn't," Lorelai said.

"You're probably right, but that doesn't mean I don't want you to do what I ask," Spencer said. "Think about it this way, Scratch is coming after me which means he will go through you to get there. And this will be so much harder for me if you are directly targeted next."

"Spence," Lorelai said.

"I'm calling it…" Spencer said.

"Spence, please don't," Lorelai said. When they got married a pact was made because they are both stubborn individuals. If one of them wanted the other to do something and they were being stubborn they could call the pact and the other person would listen no questions asked. Neither of them had used it yet because the agreement was that they only use it in very serious situations and nothing had come up yet.

Spencer took a breath, "Lorelai I don't want to… but I need you safe."

Lorelai's eyes welled up with tears again.

"I'm calling the pact," Spencer said.

Lorelai huffed a laugh. "Well, a deal is a deal. But I don't like it."

Spencer nodded, "I get that."

"I love you, Spencer," Lorelai said.

"I love you too, Lorelai," he said.

They talked until Spencer had to go back to his cell. Lorelai left the prison and went out to her car. She took a breath and called Emily.

"Hey Lorelai, how is Spencer?" Emily asked as she answered.

"He is okay, um. I need to come and see you, talk in person," Lorelai said.

"Okay, well I'm still at the office," Emily said.

"Be there soon," Lorelai said before she hung up and drove to the office. She went to Emily's office and closed the door.

Emily looked up.

"I need you to get me moved into hiding," Lorelai said.

Emily nodded, "Okay. Why now?"

"Spencer and I made a deal when we got married, a pact that if there was something he wanted me to do that involved something serious he could call the pact and I had to do it no questions asked, and vice versa," Lorelai said.

"He called it?" Emily asked.

"Yup, I'm not happy about it but a deal is a deal," Lorelai said.

"Okay, well. Hailey has already been set up with your dad, and he has asked me to try and get you to come too, especially after finding out about Spencer," Emily said.

Lorelai nodded

"I'll get some agents to take you home so you can pack and they will take you there," Emily said.

Lorelai nodded again.

"And I won't stop, this team won't stop until Spencer is proven innocent," Emily said.

"I know," Lorelai said in tears.

"Come on, I'm going to go to your place with you," Emily said.

Lorelai and Emily went to Lorelai's place with the other agents and Lorelai started to pack.

Emily noticed something on the bed.

"You haven't slept in here since Spencer has been gone have you?" Emily asked

"No… But how did you know?" Lorelai asked

Emily picked up a pair of fuzzy handcuffs.

Lorelai laughed and looked away.

"Hey, no judgment from me," Emily said with a smirk

"Yeah, well doesn't mean it's not awkward," Lorelai said as she continued to pack.

"I'll forget I saw them," she said putting them back where she found them.

"Thank you," Lorelai said. She finished packing and the two went out outside and to the waiting car where Lorelai put her bag.

"You give everyone a hug for me," Emily said.

"I will," Lorelai said. "And you get Spencer out, soon."

"I won't stop until I do," Emily said.

Lorelai nodded and got in the car and left.

Emily went back to the office.
