It was the last day before school was to start, everyone was getting ready for the first day of school. Bags were being packed; first days outfits were being picked.

Hayley knocked on Rosie's door.

"Yes?" Rosie said

Hayley went in. "Matthew has admitted to everything…"

Rosie let out a breath. "That's fantastic!"

"You end up pressing charges on Marissa?" Hayley asked

"I did. Nolan wanted me to and I decided to give in." Rosie said

"Sometimes we have to give in to their requests to get what we want from them," Hayley said smirking

Rosie chuckled. "You tell Pierce the good news?"

"I did." Hayley said, "He is thrilled."

"Good," Rosie said

"You excited it's your last year of high school?" Hayley asked

"Yes. But there is a lot to get done this year." Rosie said

"You'll be okay. You have lots of support." Hayley said

"I know," Rosie said with a smile

"What are you wearing?" Hayley asked

Rosie held up a skirt and a floral blouse.

"I don't think that skirt fits in the dress code," Hayley said with a smirk

"Hits my fingertips," Rosie said.

"Yeah. Cause you have short arms," Hayley said.

Rosie chuckled. "I am short what do you expect? What are you wearing?"

"New black jeans, black t-shirt, and a jean jacket," Hayley said

"Cool," Rosie said

Everyone finished getting ready before heading downstairs for dinner.

"What is everyone excited about this school year?" Hunter asked

"First year of school!" Kara said. She was starting kindergarten this year.

"Going up a level in gymnastics," Scarlet said.

"I don't know if you have ever been asked but do you think you will ever want to do gymnastics at an elite level?" Rosie asked

Scarlet shook her head, "no. It's too much work."

Rosie smiled and nodded, "it would be a big commitment yes."

"Being a senior is exciting," Callie said.

"Yes, we both are seniors this year, and so are you two," Rosie said with a smile at the twins. It was Callie's last year of Jr. high, the twins last year of elementary and Rosie's last of high school. "I'm most looking forward to being lead photographer," Rosie told them

"You're not the editor of the newspaper?" Hunter asked

"No, I'm not doing newspaper this year, I don't have the passion for it anymore and would rather focus on other things," Rosie said

"Don't you want to go to university for journalism?" Hayley asked

"I did, that's changed," Rosie said

"Have you decided what exactly it is you want to do?" Dave asked.

"Something in the criminal justice field, not sure if I will decide to major in law or something like a forensic scientist or technical analyst," Rosie said.

"What about you three what are you excited about?" Dave asked the twins and Hayley

"Not being in the same class as her," Maddison said it was the first year they weren't being put in the same class.

"Yeah, finally we won't be confused as each other at least in class," Mackenzie said.

Hunter chuckled. "You're friends still can't tell you apart?"

"No," both of them said at the same time.

"You two are so different how is that possible?" Hayley asked

They both shrugged.

"Hals what are you looking forward to?" Dave asked

"Thanksgiving," Hayley said.

Rosie chuckled.

"I miss him okay?" Hayley said with a bit of a pout.

"That is perfectly understandable," Hunter said with a smile

"You just wait if you and Nolan don't get into the same university and you'll understand," Hayley said to Rosie.

"Noel already basically has an offer to Harvard on a football scholarship as long as he plays as well as he did last year, a scout came to him last year because they assumed he was a senior since he was Captain," Rosie said.

"Wow, that's great," Dave said.

"I'm so proud of him," Rosie said with a smile.

"He is a great young man," Hunter said. "As is Pierce."

Hayley smiled, "I'm proud of Pierce too, I just miss him."

"Thanksgiving is just a couple of months, you will get through it, just keep busy with boxing," Rosie said.

Hayley smiled and nodded,

"And it's your sixteenth birthday this year," Dave said

"Yes, I am excited for that too," Hayley said with a smile. "But Thanksgiving is first."

"I'm looking forward to not being the only teen driver," Rosie said.

Dave and Hunter chuckled.

"I thought you enjoyed running errands for us," Hunter said with a smirk.

"I don't mind it, I just am looking forward to someone else being able to do it too," Rosie said with a smile.

"That is if Hayley gets a car," Hunter said.

"So not fair if I don't," Hayley said

"Well, keep being the responsible teenager we know you are and you might get one," Dave said with a smile.

Hayley smiled and nodded.

They finished eating and cleared up and got set up for a movie night before they all went to bed early at Hunter and Dave's instance.
