TouchMe-San: The boy-who-lived doesn't come because of a prophecy, but because he survived the killing curse, which Hydrus had done. Also, the prophecy has been made, it was made before Hydrus was even born.

dabrakadabra : The way I see it is that every little bit counts, build up enough cases against him and people are going to start questioning him, which is why Bellatrix is doing it. Because even if nothing happens now then it could still increase the chances of something happening in the future.

Rebmul: Coincidence.

Chapter 13 -

"Morning Mum," Hydrus yawned as he entered the kitchen where he found his mother sat at the table with a plateful of food in front of her.

"Morning," Bellatrix smiled at him. "Good sleep?"

"Pretty great," Hydrus smiled, thinking about the night before. Just yesterday he had turned eleven and was delighted to enjoy a very fun birthday party, Bellatrix had invited Aunt Cissy, Draco, Tonks and Aunt Andi. She had also 'graciously' allowed Aunt Andi to 'bring her mudblood if she wants'. He had ended up getting quite a few presents from everyone. "Where's Rocky?" He asked as he sat down opposite Bellatrix. "He wasn't in my room."

"He's in the corner," Bellatrix gestured to the corner of the room where Rocky was swallowing a rat. Hydrus hissed out a greeting to his favourite snake before his food appeared on his table.

"Thank you, Kreacher." Hydrus said out loud, knowing that the loyal old elf would hear him. The two descended into a comfortable silence as the two finished off their breakfast.

"Get your clothes ready," Bellatrix told him once he was done.

"Where are we going?" Hydrus asked.

"Diagon Alley," Bellatrix grinned as she pulled out a letter, Hydrus stared it for several seconds upon seeing the wax symbol on the letter.

"Is...is that..." Hydrus trailed off.

"Yep, it arrived this morning." Bellatrix said, waving the letter in front of his face. "You're going to Hogwarts."

"Finally!" Hydrus cheered before jumping to his feet and rushing out of the room.

"Ah," Bellatrix sighed happily. "They grow up so fast."

The fireplace of the Leaky Cauldron lit up with green flames, a fairly normal sight, what was not a normal sight was for Bellatrix Black and the Boy-who-lived to walk out from it. As soon as the two arrived inside of the pub, looking like they owned the place, every single pair of eyes turned to look at them.

"Ah, Miss Black," Tom, the owner, greeted them from behind the bar, bowing his head low. "Mr Black, it's a pleasure to see you both here. I would like to offer my most sincere congratulations on winning the duelling tournament," He added.

"Thank you," Hydrus said politely, nodding his head to the older man.

"Is there anything I can get you?" Tom offered.

"No," Bellatrix refused, already walking past with Hydrus following after. "My son is merely here to get his school supplies." She added over her shoulder before the two exited the room, with everyone still staring at them before they left.

"This boy-who-lived thing is annoying," Hydrus complained as soon as they were out and into the empty back alleyway of the Cauldron.

"Agreed," Bellatrix said as she started tapping her wand against a brick wall. "But it's a burden you must deal with."

"I still say we should just start hexing them," Hydrus pouted.

"I know," Bellatrix replied with a matching pout. "But your aunties won't let us." She complained as the wall started disappearing to reveal Diagon Alley.

"Where are they?" Hydrus asked as the two walked into the alley. "They should be meeting us here, right?" He frowned, looking around.

"They should be," Bellatrix confirmed just before a voice called out to them.

"Hydrus!" Tonks grinned as she rushed in and pulled Hydrus into a hug. "How you doing?" She asked, today she was supporting shoulder length white hair.

"I'm great," Harry grinned back at her once she let go, Tonks smiled before she started playing with Hydrus's ponytail.

"This is a nice look for you, though I wouldn't mind if we experimented a bit." Tonks said thoughtfully. "Maybe a mohawk, or something simple like short and spiky."

"There will be no experimenting," Bellatrix cut in firmly. "Hydrus's hair is perfect as it is."

"You heard her," Hydrus shrugged, considering that to be the end of it.

"Hi Aunty Bellatrix," Tonks said cheerfully.

"Where is your mother?" Bellatrix sighed.

"Right here," Andromeda said as she walked over with Narcissa and Draco. "I must say sorry, Sister, she got away from me." Andromeda said dryly.

"I don't blame you," Bellatrix said with another sigh. "She's a handful."

"Oi," Tonks said in an offended voice.

"I personally blame your mudblood for it," Bellatrix added matter-of-factly to Andromeda who simply rolled her eyes, having given up on trying to stop Bellatrix from calling Ted a mudblood.

"Hello Aunt Andromeda, Hi Aunt Narcissa." Hydrus smiled up at the two older women.

"Hello Hydrus," Andromeda smiled at him.

"It is good to see you," Narcissa said warmly.

"Hi Hydrus," Draco said, offering a hand that Hydrus shook.

"Now, let's get on with this." Bellatrix said.

"Of course," Narcissa agreed. "Does anyone need to go to Gringotts?" She asked.

"I do," Tonks spoke up. "I need to get some money for Hogsmeade."

"Very well, how about you go to Gringotts and meet us up at potions store?" Andromeda replied. "I think it'll be easiest if we get the books first and then move on to potions. I'll get your books for you." She added to Tonks.

"Sounds like a plan," Tonks smiled before she turned and walked off.

"You got rid of her, nice." Bellatrix said approvingly once Tonks was gone. "Now we can shop in peace."

"Bella," Andromeda sighed, though she noticeably didn't deny it.

"Anyway, let's get going." Narcissa suggested.

"It's a shame Daphne couldn't come with us," Hydrus said to Draco as the two walked behind the adults.

They had so far managed to do most of their shopping, they had brought their books and potions with Andromeda making sure that they had the best ones available, though Bellatrix made sure to add a few extra spell books in for Hydrus. After Tonks had joined them they had headed down to Madam Malkin's clothes store to get their school uniforms. Narcissa had taken great care to make sure they had the best quality of clothes available, insisting on nothing less for the heirs to the Malfoy and Black family.

After that the families had headed to the pet shop so they could get an owl for Draco and Hydrus so the two could write to them whilst they were at Hogwarts, Draco had chosen a handsome black eagle-owl while Hydrus had quickly found himself choosing a rather beautiful snowy white owl. After a few more shops and an incredibly necessary ice-cream break, the group had all headed over to Ollivander's wand shop to get Draco and Hydrus their wands. Draco was excited to finally get his wand while Hydrus was ecstatic to finally have his own wand.

"Yeah," Draco shrugged. "I think it's more of a shame that they won't let first years bring their own brooms to school. It's ridiculous, I could have been on the quidditch team this year!"

"You'd have to try out," Hydrus reminded him.

"So?" Draco snorted. "I'd beat the rest easily." He said with all of the confidence in the world. Hydrus looked amused but didn't say anything else as they had just arrived outside of the shop.

"Ah," Tonks smiled widely as she placed a hand on each of their shoulders. "My little boys are growing up, finally getting your wands. Old Ollivander is a bit mad, but he's the best wandmaker in the country."

"That's true," Narcissa agreed. "The man is mad." She frowned before they all walked into the shop, only to find out that the shop wasn't empty like they had originally thought it would be.

The shop was tiny, empty of all furniture except for a single, spindly chair in the corner. What looked like thousands of narrow boxes containing wands were piled right up to the ceiling of the tiny shop, and the whole place had a thin layer of dust about it that caused Narcissa to frown even more.

Behind the counter was an old looking man with wild white hair, standing on the other side of the counter were two people. The first being an old witch dressed in green robes, a pointy black witches hat and a pair of square shaped glasses. Standing next to her was a young girl about Hydrus and Draco's age, wearing worn out blue jeans, an old pair of white trainers, a dark blue shirt and a green flannel jacket over it. She had a round face with a bit of dirt on her nose and black hair that was pulled into a ponytail. In her hand was what appeared to be a brand new wand.

"Hi Professor," Tonks greeted the older woman, sounding surprised to see her here.

"Miss Tonks," The woman replied before narrowing her eyes at her. "I hope you have been behaving."

"Me?" Tonks asked innocently. "I'm an angel," She said with a smile before turning to Hydrus and Draco, ignoring the various disbelieving scoffs from around the room. "This is Professor McGonagall, she's the deputy head and in charge of the Gryffindors. She also teaches transfiguration."

"Harry Potter?" Professor McGonagall gasped as she stared at Hydrus.

"His name is Hydrus Black," Bellatrix cut in, sending Professor McGonagall a harsh glare.

"F...forgive me," Professor McGonagall said after taking a moment to compose herself. "I understand, it's just hard," She said, more to Hydrus than anyone. "I knew your parents, your birth parents I mean, they were good friends of mine."

"I'm happy with Mum," Hydrus said firmly without hesitation, grabbing onto Bellatrix's arm.

"I can see that," She said with a sad smile. "Anyway, we must be off." She nodded to Ollivander before turning to the girl next to her. "Come along Miss Cooper." She told the girl before she walked out of the shop, the girl awkwardly following behind her, taking a moment to stare at the rest of them before they had left.

"I see I have some new customers," Mr Ollivander spoke up, breaking the awkward silence.

"It's amazing," Draco said with a wide smile as he held his new wand, having just taken it from Ollivander who had spent the last ten minutes trying to find a wand for Draco.

"Ah yes," Ollivander smiled. "ten inches long, made of hawthorn wood, and has a unicorn hair core, reasonably springy too. A very fine wand." He said before gesturing Hydrus to come forward. "And now it's your turn," He smiled before reaching out and grabbing a box, he pulled out a white wand and handed it to Hydrus. "Try this, lad." He said.

"Okay," Hydrus nodded before picking up the wand, he performed a small flick and ended up unintentionally causing Ollivander's counter to turn pink.

"Not that one apparently," Ollivander took the wand out while Andromeda changed the counter back. He sent her an appreciative look before grabbing another box. "Try this wand," He said, opening it. Hydrus pulled out a plain, brown wand, he gave it a small frown before he gave it a small wave with only a tiny spark coming out. "Not that one," Ollivander frowned before taking that wand and giving Hydrus another wand. Hydrus gave it another wave and jumped back in surprise when the shop windows shattered.

"Not that one either, I take it," Bellatrix said dryly as she waved her wand to repair the window, ignoring the shocked looks from people outside the shop.

"Oh, I do love a challenge," Ollivander smiled. "Let's try another wand." He said.

What would follow would be another twenty minutes of Ollivander giving Hydrus wand after wand, each of which would have either barely any reaction or some rather worrying overreactions such as nearly damaging Draco's new wand and setting the floor on fire, though one did have the happy effect of cleaning up all the dust, even if it did also end up breaking the shop door. Hydrus and Bellatrix were getting more and more frustrated with the lack of results while the rest had opted to find a corner of the room and stay there with shield charms up.

"I was sure that one would work," Ollivander frowned as he put away another wand.

"Can you find him a wand or not?" Bellatrix said impatiently. "Because if not then I know a few shops in Knockturn Alley that could probably do the job." She added, causing him to gasp out loud, sounding like she had just suggested he use children for wand ingredients.

"Miss Black, I assure you that the quality of those wands are shaky at best," He said quickly. "I just need you to be patient, there is a match for every witch and wizard, it is merely a matter of finding the right one. Patience, and I assure you that he will have a wand that will him suit him better than any other." He told her before looking down at his counter. "Hmm, I wonder." He frowned thoughtfully before he knelt down to access the shelves at the bottom of the counter, he moved a few wand boxes out of the way before he pulled out a specific box. He stood up and placed it on the counter, slapping some dust off of it before he opened it. "Try this one." He told Hydrus, looking almost nervous.

Hydrus stared at the wand, his eyes widening slightly as he looked at the black wand in front of him. The wood of the wand was smooth, sleek and quite beautiful. The handle was a dark grey and had a small hook on the end. Bellatrix's eyes widened as she looked it at it, the wand looked to be an almost perfect replica of the dark lord's, except for the colour.

Hydrus picked up the wand and let out a gasp as a bright, golden glow enveloped him. Bright multi-coloured sparks shot out from his wand, a beautiful unearthly music filled Hydrus's ears as he stared at the wand like it was the answer to any and every question in the universe.

"Amazing," Ollivander said as the glow died down.

"This is incredible," Hydrus said, his voice shaky and his gaze still fixed on the wand.

"Yes, it is," Ollivander spoke up, snapping Hydrus out of his trance. "It is indeed a most incredible wand. The wood is yew, thirteen and a half inches, nice and supple. One of the less common types of wand, quite rare I must confess, not the sort of wand that would settle with choosing a mediocre wizard." He added, causing Bellatrix to puff up with pride on behalf of her son who was hanging off of Ollivander's every word. "The core, that my young wizard is made from a horn of a 'Horned Serpent'. I've heard that they are quite sensitive to a certain ability that you posses, if rumours are to be true."

"You mean parseltongue?" Hydrus asked before looking at his wand. "You are mine," He hissed, as soon as he did he felt the wand vibrate in his hand, he felt like he could feel how happy the wand was. "This is so cool," He said to his mother who looked almost as happy as he felt. "I feel like...like...I can't explain it but this is awesome!"

"Indeed," She agreed, grinning widely, thinking about all the experimenting they were going to be doing soon with Hydrus's snake-speaking abilities. "We'll have the wands and three of those dragonhide wand holsters." She told Ollivander.

"Of course, Miss Black," He simply nodded, not even questioning her about why she wanted three, before reaching under his desk and picking up a trio of wand holster. "With these two wands and holsters, Miss Black, the total comes up to twenty-nine galleons."

"Not a problem at all," Bellatrix said with a smile as she took two holsters from Ollivander before tossing the third one to Draco. "Narcissa, sort us out." She told her younger sister before grabbing Hydrus's shoulders and quickly leading him out the shop. A few moments later the rest came out of the shop with Narcissa sending Bellatrix a small glare.

"What?" Bellatrix asked innocently as she fit a holster to Hadrian's right arm.

"You're lucky that I'm spending Lucius's money and not my own," Was all Narcissa said.

A.N: Hi guys, hope you liked the chapter.

As for Hydrus's wand, just basically imagine a black version of Voldemort's wand with a grey handle. I chose that because I really liked the design and the idea of the wand having a hook so he could move more fluidly. As for Tonks, I know that various fics have her between 5 to 8 years older than Harry. In this fic, she'll be in her last year of Hogwarts while Hydrus and Draco start their first.

Anyway, thanks for reading.
