It was a regular, normal morning.
At least, as normal as a day could be at a place such as Hope's Peak High School. So, basically, not at all.
Most of that abnormality came from the students themselves. More specifically, their personalities. From loud-mouthed hotheads to cool, calm, and collected, you could find just about any personality type at Hope's Peak.
Unsurprisingly, these mix of personalities caused a lot of chaos. And sure, Hope's Peak didn't have cliques or whatnot like the schools you saw in teen shows, but these students still found their own ways to cause their fair amount of drama. Drama that lead to secrets, scandals, betrayals, and the like. Drama that could be used as a weapon for one's own twisted desires...
If Hope's Peak students weren't already chaotic during everyday classes, then they were most definitely chaotic during lunchtime. Lesson: having 50+ hungry teenagers in a crowded room together that were restless from being glued to their seats for four hours never ended well.
However, a certain person had to be thankful for these circumstances, really. It allowed them to slip through the waves of loud chattering and the students whom that chattering belonged to, undetected. Yeah, they would be missing out on lunch for the day, but the events that would transpire would all be worth it.
Plus, the school food sucked, anyway.
With careful, nimble steps, they began to make their way down the spacious halls, swiftly dodging the hall monitors and other staff that were patrolling at this time. It was almost too easy, how they were able to slip past this so-called "security" of the school. Almost.
Successfully managing to evade the human obstacles, they now had to climb up three flights of stairs to reach their desired floor.
Once on the third floor, they checked once, twice, and even triple-checked behind them to make sure no one was following them before stepping into the hallway. However, they never let their guard down even then, as their footsteps remained silent and swift.
And there it was, at the very end of the hall: the headmaster's office.
They grinned.
Placing a careful hand on the doorknob, they tried to turn it. Locked.
That was good. That meant that the headmaster was out for lunch and wouldn't be back for at least another half-hour.
Fishing a paperclip out of their pocket, they bent it out so it was mostly straightened. They wasted no time jamming the paperclip inside the lock, jiggling it until they finally heard the click that signified the door was now unlocked.
Their grin only grew wider as they swung the door open. On the desk, was the item they were going through all of this trouble for: the headmaster's computer.
They closed the door and locked it behind them before gingerly taking a seat in the big black chair behind said computer. They tapped on the mouse to awaken the computer, and the first thing they saw was the password screen. That didn't seem to faze them, though.

Now successfully in the computer, they pulled up a blank writing document. They cracked both knuckled and began typing away...

Author's Note: Heya! Welcome to "The Gossip Files!" I didn't put this author's note in the previous chapter because I didn't want to ruin the immersion, so here we are!
So, I'm pretty excited. I've had this concept brewing in my head for a while, and now I get to share this with you all!
Anyway, this was the prologue! It pretty much introduces our mastermind behind this whole ordeal. The real action starts next chapter ;) Also, this is my first time ever writing a solely description-based chapter, so I hope it was decent.
Well, that's it for now. I know this was short, but I promise the next will be longer. Please let me know what theories and other thoughts you have about this chapter! Thanks for reading, and until next time!
