"Hehe... Hahaha!"

This feels so exhilarating! Standing on top of the highest building on this school while a terrorist attack is happening?

Checking that on my bucket list!

Now then, I glance around and look at the people in dark robes walking around the school and having their own orderly routes. I can see that they did their homework. It seems like they know where they are going, and are spaced enough that it's impossible for most people to sneak around them.

Though, I can only give them a 6 out of 10. It is really good doing your dreams of doing a terrorist attack on a school, but it felt so lame if you all are dressed like that.

Why dressed on all black in the middle of the day? Aren't you stupid!? You only wear all black if it will complement the setting of your stage! Now these people look like tryhards who are only trying to be edgy!

They try to kill the protagonist first, and they don't know the TPO for their getups. It's really obvious just how much of a rookie these people are!

I really want to find an opportune time to enter the fray and cause some commotion. Cement the legend of Shadow to this kingdom, and also think of a theatric entrance. Maybe even make an exit that many will remember.

Ah! I can already imagine it! How cool it is for me to just appear, say some random cool lines, and then disappear! I have to do that!

For now, I want to check most of the list I have for this event.

I took an inch of a mass from my slime suit, and then rolled it onto my thumbs before aiming my thumb on one of them. Lining up my shot, I flick the rolled up black sludge with a slight enhancement of magic from my middle finger.

"Oooh!~ Double kill!~"

As the two fell on the floor at the same time, I quickly rolled another on my thumb and shoot another. I continue doing that while thinking of what to do next.

I'm still waiting for the night to come. So I'm just passing the time by reducing their numbers for a bit. Sniping terrorists to the head is also one of the things I want to do in my past life, so this is actually great!

"Hm...?"

I noticed a familiar shade of black on the windows. I peered at that for a bit, following their form as they walked on the halls fearlessly.

"... Isn't that Claire? She looks angry? Might be because the school is being raided by these guys?"

Just on time, I saw a group of them on the other side of the bend going on a collision course with her. One of them looks somewhat stronger than the others that I have been sniping for awhile now.

Claire is going to face them it seems.

I can't help but feel excited.

"I have to be there! This will be very exciting!"

I jumped from the building with a "Tou!", doing an iconic falling posture and landing on an idiot who wasn't looking on their six. After that, I also took care of the terrorist along with him, before rushing to the scene where Claire and that group of terrorist is going to meet.

'Kill... kill... kill...!'

It's the only thing she can think of after learning of her friend's death. She can't even bring herself to see the corpse of that girl she swore to protect on the past.

Her eyes slowly processed the group of figures on the distance. They also seems to have no noticed her as she saw the man leading them smirking at her way, before seemingly gesturing for those along with him to finish her off.

'KILL!'

Her crimson eyes acquires a brief violet glow on it, before changing back to normal as she prepares a stance. She kicks the ground to charge at them. Intent on piercing one of them with a thrust.

Though, it wasn't an issue to this guys. Regardless of her skills, without magic she can't produce enough strength to her feet to instantly get to their side. No matter how much strength she tries to applies to her sword, it won't matter as it can only excel the same power as her own physical strength.

The gap between her and those she opposes are already great. Which is why it is so obvious when they easily repelled her strike with a single swing of their blade. Her sword flying in a parabola on the air, before falling with a clang on the floor behind her.

"Gah!"

And then she was sliced on her torso. Thankfully not deep, but enough to cause her sides to bleed. A kick sent her a few meters away from them. Worsening the wound on her side as she coughs up a bit of her own blood.

She knows within her mind that what she is doing is foolish. There is no way she can fight if she can't even muster any magical power within her. Though her heart is also greatly shaken.

'What's the point of my training? What's the point that I lived on that time?'

She felt so regretful at not being able to help Arisa. If she was just there, she might have been able to prevent her death. Even if it costs her her life, she will feel at peace at that. It's only because of wanting to save Arisa that she manages to rid herself of the Demon Possession. Without her, what's the point of it?

'I want strength! At least enough strength to take care of these bastards!'

Though even as her heart is shaken, she also deeply desires the destruction of the group who killed her friend. Her eyes that are tearing up are slowly glowing with a pale hue of violet as she knitted her brows in defiance.

As the two guys tries get closer to her, she tries to at least move. Standing up on shaky legs as she gritted her teeth. As one of them lazily swung their sword at her way, her eyes widened for a moment in extreme concentration.

And then she notices it!

'Slow...!'

She can feel the world has becomes extremely slow to her perception. The sound becoming very inaudible to her ears. A strange surge of strength seems to be accumulating within her body, and the familiar sense of that warm energy is flowing rampantly within her body.

"This is...?"

She quickly decided to stop asking and focused her eyes on the approaching swing. With a practiced movement, she manages to dodge to the side, and then kicks the ground to dash quickly to her sword on the floor. Before taking a stance at them.

The two guys who has approached her gasps. Though she didn't mind it as she kicks the ground. This time it gave her enough strength to propel herself to their side, easily managing to slice them in half from their torso.

A strong sickening scent of iron clung to her nose as the two halves of their body fell to the floor with a meaty thud. Her heart is beating a bit faster as she felt her nerves seems to be burning for a bit. As if the rampant energy within her is trying to find a way out of her body.

"I see..." She finally realizes where this surge of strength is coming from.

It's her own Demon Possession. She recalls the time when she is having it, and how it makes it harder for her to control her magic power. Making it seem like it was trying to burn her whole skin as it rampages around her internal body.

'If this will be my final battle, then I will gladly use my life to end these scums!'

In the past before she was cured of her Demon Possession, she is scared of using her magic in fear of letting the disease take hold of her body. Causing her to be mutated and later on be thrown to be killed.

Now, she doesn't even care!

Her eyes widened, feeling somewhat liberated. As she didn't feel worried what will happen next to her, she felt like she can do anything.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!" She charges at the other remaining enemies on the distance. There is no more hesitation within her heart.

If she have this kind of power, then she feels that she can achieve her goal. Avenging the death of her friend.

"That was a niche trick!"

Though all of her confidence shatters as her strike filled with her rampaging magical power has been easily repelled by the lazy swing of the man leading these group.

"Unfortunately, you aren't as strong as me, A First Children!" The guy said with a cheeky grin.

Without being able to keep up, she was easily suppressed by his skills. Each of his attacks are more precise. He is a lot more skilled at provoking an opening from her. Those feints are masterful that she looks like a child easily deceived by his urging.

None of her strikes hits him. Despite using all the techniques she knows in her life, all the power she got from her rampaging strength, it doesn't give her an edge.

"Why!?"

She felt it's so unfair. Despite acquiring the strength to counter these weird nullification field, she still can't keep up with this man.

"Your blood seems extremely compatible. I think Mr. Former Seat will find your presence very acceptable as a replacement!"

She can't accept this. This world is so absurd. It doesn't even give her a chance to achieve her revenge.

"Aaaaaaaaaa!"

She screamed out all of her defiance with this single strike. Though even with that, he simply parried it with his own skillful swordsmanship.

"Ugh!"

Pain. That shakes her whole being as she crumpled to the ground. Her body failing herself as she felt that burst of power slowly vanishing from her body. Her whole muscles felt so sore, and even her nerves felt like it was burning. Each time she tries to move, she was met by an extremely agonizing pain. Making it hard for her to even twitch her fingers.

"Time's up, you bitch!" The guy grinned at her. "Now you are coming with us!"

She saw him reaching out to her face. Her vision losing it's focus as she tries her hardest to stay awake, when she heard him gasping.

"Who are... uuuuaaaaagh!?"

She can barely hear what is happening. All of it is just an echoing noise that rings on her ears. She only feels cold, despite her body feeling extremely hot at the same time. Her eyelids felt heavy.

Though she swear she saw a brief blur of a familiar purple. Hearing an audible noise that might be screams on her ears. As she blinks her eyes once more, the next thing she saw is the familiar face of her friend.

'Arisa...?' She immediately rejects that notion. 'No... this is not Arisa...!'

Arisa always has a gentle yet pitiful look on her eyes. It shows of despair, and at the same time a hope that something better will happen in the future.

This one is not. It's a chilly gaze that can freeze even the desert. The golden glow of her gaze seems to be filled with darkness. As if the abyss is staring back at her.

"Who...?"

She can't muster any strength to stay awake anymore. Her head falling on the floor unconscious.

A/N

I'm using a new text editor app on my phone and it's pretty hard. The old text editor I am using decided to break and not work on my phone anymore, and it also deleted all of my draft I have been writing.

That's very painful by the way... also, copy pasting this on two separate text files is just really bad. Why does a text editor has a text limit on it's file!?

If you want to support me, you can go to my kofi account. Just replace the (dot) with a dot when writing it.
