Asa was the first one to open her mouth upon the revelation.
"The Fairy Godmother! But….but that's a freaking fairytale!" she yelled before her face changed and the scars appeared, indicating Yoru had taken control "sorry had to stop her you know how she gets."
Immediately the Fairy Godmother turned around towards the young woman and her face scrunched up as if she had seen a horrible sight. "My goodness darling what has happened to your face. I'm sure I can do something to get rid of those horrible markings" she said, causing Yoru to raise her eyebrow while her other eye twitched.
"That's my normal look…" Yoru said seething.
The Fairy Godmother gasped "well you need a touch up. Getting rid of those scratches, maybe doing something with your hair. When I'm done with you I'll make you fit for a queen!"
"I'm not interested in any of your pathetic little…" Yoru was about to speak before a loud "Quiet!" echoed throughout the entire room. Everyone turned towards Thanos as he spoke "Collective in line now!"
Everyone in the room began to stand in a straight line, well the Fairy Godmother kept floating in the air using her wings but regardless stood in line along with the others.
"My friends we have come across a very unfortunate situation. My beloved granddaughter Kara has been taken by her father to the world of our greatest nemesis Satoru Gojo. A world that is dangerous for us to enter, but for the sake of my beloved daughter Weiss and her daughter I must sadly ask the unthinkable of you. To enter Gojo's world and retrieve her."
Everyone listened carefully, but the air of nervousness was apparent.
"So let me get this straight," the Fairy Godmother inquired "you pulled me from a very important business arrangement in order for me to help these….unruly wretches in a rescue mission! I'm very sorry Lord Thanos but I simply cannot partake in this mission."
The rest of the Collective all seemed to have a look of baited breath as they waited their leaders judgement of this clear insubordination.
"Very well Fairy Godmother. You are free to return, but know that if you do you will find your son's throne gone and the entire empire in ruins. So feel free to think that over before you decide to decline" Thanos calmly spoke.
Despite the Mad Titan speaking calmly the bold and confident expression that the Fairy Godmother held quickly faded away to leave a face that seemed to be a mix between bewilderment and completely and absolute fear.
The Mad Titan always kept his promises. And he never lies.
That was the truth the entire Collective knew about and they made sure to remember it. Yoru smiled wickedly and said to the Fairy Godmother "I think your face could use something, you look as pale as a sheet."
The flustered Fairy Godmother gritted her teeth at the War Devil but then took one look at the Mad Titan and decided not to respond to her, instead she smiled and told Thanos "on second thought I think I can absolutely help get your beloved granddaughter back Lord Thanos."
The Mad Titan smiled "glad to hear. Alright then," he said turning to the entire group "Fairy Godmother, you will join my right hand man Silco, my daughter Yoru and Oroku."
Silco stood ready in the front as Oroku joined his side, though with a look of discontent on his face. Yoru and the Fairy Godmother soon joined their side as well.
"You four will have a simple mission. Retrieve Kara as fast and as safely as possible. Try to avoid a fight or a scene, under no circumstances can Satoru Gojo know you are on his world. Is that clear!"
"Crystal, my Lord Titan!" Silco said as he bowed. The other three at his side bowing in formation as well.
On the side Raven and Zemo looked at each other curiously before the former spoke up "my Lord Titan just out of curiosity, what will we be doing?"
"You will not be joining them in the rescue mission, too many numbers will raise suspicions and considering your daughter and brother are most likely on that world as well they will see any black bird flying by as suspicious. No Raven, for you and Helmut I have something different in mind. You will both return to Atlas and retrieve the Mind Stone."
Raven raised her eyebrows "didn't you send Silver to retrieve that?" she asked.
"Yes and if you recall that was more then a month ago. Hence it is reasonably he has either been captured or has deserted. Regardless I want you to find out and retrieve the Mind Stone. Is that understood!"
"Yes my Lord Titan!" Raven and Zemo both saluted in unison.
Thanos turned around and walked over to the cabinet taking out a photo as he looked it over. It showed something so different from his lifelong quest of balance and his constant warfare. It was him and his daughter Weiss with little Kara in her hands. A small family photo of father, daughter and granddaughter.
"I will get her back daughter. I promise."
A/N: I was intending to make this chapter longer but I have been hit with a writers block and there are so many stories I want to tell regarding this series but recently ive been feeling a lot better and my head feels less full. So first I want to tell how I will progress.
Since a lot of you got into my Collective Chronicles series through RWBY I figure I would keep the RWBY cast central and just add more characters from different worlds through side stories such as "Come Into my World" with Qrow and Megumi usually travelling to other worlds to make things happen and I find their dynamic to just be incredibly funny, so if there are suggestions for ideas I'm open to it. Secondly, I think I want to switch this story into two parts, which will conclude at least the first part of the Collective Chronicles series. I've already actually started with a sequel to this story which takes place in another fandom and an unspecified time after the events of this story, I'm not gonna point to the story specifically since I like the ambiguity but I feel you already have an idea which it is.
Thirdly, there will be more Whiteknight that much I can assure you but don't expect there will be smut that much since I personally don't think it fits into the story. When I wrote "This is My World" I did not think it would grow into this big of a thing, I just thought it was fun to have a multiverse twist of like Nightmare Weiss and what if she was adopted by Thanos, but that idea was secondary to her and Jaune's story so intimacy between them then and afterwards conceiving Kara made sense, but right now…I'm not sure. I'll keep it Rated M just in case but stories afterwards might go down a rating. I'm not sure yet. But for now these are some changes and the explanations that go with them. Hope I made things clear and thank you all for sticking with me throughout this all.
