Harley Keener sat alone in the waiting room of the psychiatric clinic. Ever since his whole Jekyll and Hyde persona thing started between himself, Clockwerk and Neyla his life was getting turned upside down. Sly, Murray, Emily and Bentley all considered the possibility that maybe Neyla and Clockwerk were alive somewhere. Emily had seen her brother's sudden shift in personality and his behavior. Harley started having nightmares about his Clockwerk persona killing Sly, Murray and Bentley using a variety of weapons. He would have sleepless nights over these nightmares. Sometimes, his nightmares became so intense, he would wake up in a cold sweat. He would have insomnia so bad he often had to take heavy doses of NyQuil to help him sleep better. It was starting getting to be all too much for Harley's mind to handle. He need to tell somebody about his other personalities.
He was too afraid to tell Sly, Murray or Bentley about the fact that he could mentally switch back and forth between himself, Neyla and Clockwerk out of fear that they might try to attack him or they would be mad at him. It was clear that Harley needed psychiatric help to get rid of his two split personalities. He refused to go the spiritual route of getting rid of Neyla and Clockwerk's personalities via exorcism as it went against his Catholic religion. Harley hoped that using an exorcism would be the last case scenario, if there was no other way to get rid of Neyla and Clockwerk's spirits inside his body. Only then would he consider doing an exorcism.
Harley went to a psychiatric facility called: The Psychic Intuition. (I don't know the name of any psychiatric facilities in Paris, France). Harley spoke to the receptionist, who was a female cheetah, about making an appointment. Harley had to fill out a form first. Once he was finished signing up, he handed the form to the receptionist. He then sat down in the waiting area. He was staring off into space. He was waiting for the psychiatric doctor: Dr. Natalie Driftwood to come see him. Harley soon felt bored. He decided to listen to music to pass the time while he waited. He put on some Johhny Cash on his iPod Shuffle, or as he liked to call it: The iPod Kerfuffle. The song "Folsom Prison Blues" played in through Harley's SkullCandy wired headphones. His mind seemed to drift away.
20 minutes later, Harley's name was called over the PA system. Harley heard his name being called by the receptionist. Dr. Natalie Driftwood was here to see Harley. Harley was nervous about telling the doctor about his two alternate personalities. What if the psychiatrist didn't believe him? What if she said that he was just imaging his other personalities? Anything was possible. Dr. Driftwood led the human boy into a room. It had a few chairs along with a flat table that stretched almost across the entire room. Harley and Dr. Driftwood sat across from each other at the table. Harley took a moment to look ar Dr. Natalie Driftwood.
Natalie Driftwood PhD was a snow leopardess with cobalt gray and periwinkle colored fur. She had shoulder length lavender color hair. She wore a white coat over a orange vest. Harley wore a dark green Calvin Klein windbreaker.
"Hello. My name is Dr. Natalie Driftwood. I'll be your psychiatrist for today." the snow leopardess said to the human boy.
"My name is Harley. Harley Keener." the human boy said.
"Nice to meet you, Harley." Natalie said.
"It's nice to meet you too, Dr. Driftwood."
"So, Harley. What brings you here?" Dr. Driftwood said.
"I have some mental issues going on with my mind." Harley said.
"What kind of mental issues?"
Harley stopped taking for a moment. He was hesitant to tell Dr. Driftwood of his spiritual possession by Clockwerk and Neyla. He knew she probably would be reluctant to believe him. It was better for Harley to talk to somebody about his possession and get it off his chest than to hide it from everybody. He could hold it in for so long before he lost control over his other personalities and have the personalities merge into one singular being inside Harley Keener's body forever.
"You can only imagine the type of mental issues I've had in the past year or so. Tell me, have you ever felt like you were two different people at once?" Harley asked Dr. Driftwood.
"What do you mean by that?" Dr. Driftwood asked Harley.
"You know how Bruce Banner whenever he gets angry, he turns into the Hulk or when Dr. Henry Jekyll could turn into Mr. Edward Hyde at will? What if I told you I was experiening the exact same thing but in real life?" Harley said.
"You can turn into a different person at will?" Dr. Driftwood asked.
"Yes. I can turn into two separate personalities. I'm inhabited by the souls of two dead people: Clockwerk and Neyla. Both Clockwerk and Neyla are dead. Neyla used to work for Interpol as a high ranking officer before she started to betray everybody she associated herself with. She betrayed the Cooper Gang and Interpol. She wanted immortality. Neyla and a group called the Klaww Gang managed to rebuild Clockwerk from the ground up. Neyla and Clockwerk merged together to become one. Sly Cooper and Inspector Carmelita Fox of Interpol defeated Clock-La. Before Clockwerk and Neyla died physically, they managed to transfer their souls into me."
"The microchip that powered Clockwerk was permanently destroyed, seemingly killing both Neyla and Clockwerk. Or so we thought until Clockwerk and Neyla decided to use my body as a puppet." Harley explained to Dr. Driftwood.
"How long have Neyla and Clockwerk been possessing your body for?" Dr. Driftwood asked the human boy.
"It's been over a year, now." Harley said.
"Let me get this straight, you have two souls of deceased evil people that have been controlling you for over a year? Does Sly Cooper or Carmelita Fox know about this?"
"Not really. They sorta know about my predicament, but they don't know the full extent of it."
Dr. Driftwood took a moment to soak all the information in. She was interviewing a person who could turn into somebody else on a drop of a hat who's very unpredictable. She wasn't sure if she felt comfortable helping Harley get rid of the souls of Clockwerk and Neyla that were inside of him.
"Can you control when you turn into your other personalities?" Dr. Driftwood asked Harley.
"Not really. I don't really have any control of when Clockwerk or Neyla take over my body. It just happens at pure random. I could be doing something when suddenly, Neyla or Clockwerk takes over my body and I start to act like them. I gain their memories and overall attitude." Harley said. Suddenly, Harley started to feel dizzy and light-headed. His vision started to get blurry before being replaced by a yellow tint. This could mean only one thing. Harley was turning into his Clockwerk persona.
"Harley? Are you okay-" Dr. Driftwood asked before she looked at Harley's appearance and stopped talking. Harley's eyes were now yellow. His upper and lower lips started to form into a beak. He had a wicked smile on his face. Harley/Clockwerk grinned gleefully at the petrified snow leopardess psychiatrist.
"My name is Clockwerk. The person you call Harley Keener isn't available to talk to you at the moment. Surprised by my appearance?" Clockwerk asked Dr Driftwood in a metallic voice. She was beyond terrified by Harley's Clockwerk appearance. She was at a literal loss for words. She stood up off of her chair and slowly backed away from Harley/Clockwerk.
"What the hell are you? I thought you said that you were dead." Dr Driftwood asked Clockwerk.
"I'm far from dead. I may be dead physically, but spiritually, I'm alive. I'm rejuvenated. I'm immortal now. Want me to prove it to you?"
Harley/Clockwerk took out a screwdriver from his pocket and jabbed it into his forearm. He slashed deeply into his wrists. Blood and motor oil spurted out of the wound. The wound on his wrist soon closed up in itself. His wrist was clean. It looked as if nothing had been done to wrist. There should have been some sort of scar or indication that he cut open his wrists. There wasn't anything on Clockwerk's wrist. He then walked over to the cowering snow leopardess. He began to sing the lyrics to the Black Sabbath song "Iron Man", one of Harley Keener's favorite songs.
"I was turned to steel. In the great magnetic field. When I travelled time. For the future of mankind." Clockwerk sang out. "Am I alive or dead? Heavy thoughts go through my head. They'll just pass me there. Why should they even care?"
Harley/Clockwerk stood in front of Natalie Driftwood. He then laughed manicially. He suddenly began to revert to Neyla.
"My name is Constable Neyla. You know, being inside of a boy's body is so much fun. Nobody will ever know that I'm a female. I reccommend you not telling the folks at Interpol about my return. It would be a shame if they went after someone like me after what I did to betray them." Harley/Neyla said to Dr Driftwood.
"How can you be two people at once? That's not possible!" Driftwood said.
"You know what else is not possible? You giving out medication to people who are schizophrenic and delusional in an attempt to help them. You're not really helping them, are you? You're just making things worse for those people by giving them those bad medications. The medication will make their symptoms worse." Neyla said.
"I try and help those people by giving them medication to try and supress their mental problems."
"That's a crock of shit you made up, bitch. You're not helping the mentally disabled. You're poisoning them. How about I give you a taste of your own medicine?" Neyla said.
"Over my dead body you're getting my medicine and using it against me!" Dr. Driftwood said to Neyla.
"You should choose some better words. Your fate is sealed." Harley/Neyla said. She went to the medicine cabinet and opened it. She saw several orange prescription bottles, syringes and liquid medicine bottles. Neyla took some Rohypnol, Benzodiezapam and Xanax out of the cabinet. She then saw Dr. Driftwood trying to make a run for it out the door. Neyla put the medication down on the countertop and she tackled the snow leopardess to the ground.
Natalie Driftwood was struggling against the human boy's body. She tried to kick him, but Harley/Neyla grabbed her legs and binded them with nylon rope. Harley/Neyla forced the snow leopardess's mouth open. She opened the bottle of Xanax and she shoved the pills into her mouth. Dr Driftwood bit down on Harley/Neyla's hand. Neyla screamed very loudly in pain. She decided to punish her by punching and kicking in her jaw to the point where it was almost broken. She grabbed a Pepsi can and forced her to drink the Xanax pills down with Pepsi. She then took a syringe filled with liquid Rohypnol and injected her with it. Neyla's soul left Harley's body. He returned to his normal self. He looked at the snow leopardess. She had bruises strewn all over her furry body. Harley then unlocked the door and exited the room, leaving the snow leopardess to suffer from the effects of the medications that were flowing through.
Harley walked through the halls of the psychiatric facility. He was whistling the melody of the movie Twisted Nerve (1968). He soon exited the facility. It was clear that psychiatric care wasn't going to help rid of the souls of Clockwerk and Neyla. It looked like Harley might have no choice but to go against his religious beliefs and go the exorcism route. Hope that would work out for Harley.
