LOCATION: TOWN OF EBENTEN

Ebenten has a very rich history if you remember the bandit who was telling the story of it before he and the other bandits with him were tragically killed by Goliath. But he only talked about the history of Ebenten during The Great War and he probably checked before he was eaten.

Now in the present, the town of Ebenten has become a city outside of Vale and has gotten bigger and stronger over the past decades with state-of-the-art technology from the Kingdom of Atlas and thegreatest Huntsman working there. People thought that the city was going to fall like Mount Glenn. Fortunately, the city was surrounded by natural barriers, as was Vale, but that was not the only thing keeping them safe.

The city has two walls surrounding it, and on top of the walls are both anti-air and ground turrets. On top of the walls, with the powerful turrets, are highly trained soldiers from the city and Huntsman from different Academies to protect the people behind the walls.

The outer wall has people living behind it. That area has places to live and work like farms, markets, schools, houses, and many other things. The inner wall is different from the other wall; the inner wall has imported places like the security base where they manage the defences and security of the city, like the four gates and the turrets that surround the walls. And a military training facility to train soldiers to fight against the Creatures of Grimm and protect their kingdom and others. It even has a combat school for children who want to become Huntsman.

But even with their mighty defences on the walls, and soldiers ready to fight for their homes, Huntsman protects the people against the creatures of the dark and people who want to take the city for themselves.

How long can they protect their home from powerful beings that can bring destruction?

Anyway. In a hallway, a man wearing a security officer's uniform with his arms behind him and a wicked grin on his face was about to go to the control room when he was stopped by two security guards standing in front of the door.

"Identification sir." Asked one of the guards with his hand out in front of him.

The officer just stared at the guard's hand, then looked at his face, scoffing, before saying, "You do know I'm your commanding officer, so I don't need to show my I.D."

Both guards looked at each other, unsure and shocked about what to do, before returning their gaze to the officer. "Sir, we still need your I.D. to let you pass. Even if you are our commanding officer, we still need your ID."

"BUT I AM YOUR COMMANDING OFFICER. I DON'T NEED TO SHOW MY I.D." The officer is now shouting at the guard's face, while the other just sighs and shakes his head while the guard tries to explain to the officer. The guard looks at the officer and notices something strange about the officer's clothes. It looks untidy, and there is some blood on it. Why does his belt look weird?

"Um, sir, what happened to your clothes?" The guard asked, pointing at the blood, wondering if his eyes were playing tricks on him. Both the officer and the guard stop what they are doing as the other guard notices it as well.

The 'officer' looked at the blood, then looked back at them and suddenly started to laugh with a smug grin. "Well, if you want to know, this is not my blood." He stated continuing. "But instead, this was someone else's blood I had to take so I could go to the room behind you to deactivate your defences and cause chaos, and then let the Grimm into this city of yours to kill everyone, and then my good friend and his bandits will come to take care of any survivors."

.

"What-" Before the two guards could say anything, the 'officer' suddenly moved his arm at lightning speed towards one of them with a weapon that looked like a scorpion's pincers, cutting his neck. The guard held his neck as blood came gushing out before the other guard could do anything. The guard gasped as he felt something pierce through his chest and heart, then looked down and saw a scorpion tail in him before it pulled itself out of the guard.

Both guards fell to the floor, and the guard holding his bleeding neck looked up at the man disguising himself as an officer. He then took off the officer uniform, revealing other clothing, and casually threw the uniform on the floor, getting soaked by the blood and the scorpion tail moving behind the now Faunus man.

"Thank you for your cooperation, kind sir." The scorpion Faunus jokingly said as he stepped over the dying man, went to the door, and swiped the key card he took from the officer onto the door's keypad.

The door opened, showing the control room with staff working and managing the city defence, but then stopped as they turned the Faunus man at the door and noticed the scorpion Faunus next to two dead guards on the floor.

"HELLO EVERYONE!." The scorpion Faunus shouted at them with his arms wide and a wicked grin. "I'M HERE TO KILL EVERYONE, so would you be kind and let me end your life, please?" He spoke 'kindly' to them, to which they all responded by screaming and getting weapons to defend themselves.

The scorpion Faunus huffed, dropping his arms down and watching them as they were about to aim their weapons at him. The scorpion Faunus then smiled wickedly and said, " Oh boy, here I go, killing again." He then dashes towards them, cutting the first person closer to him and then another with his tail, slashing the staff as they try to shoot him.

Three staff members were able to aim their weapons at him and then fire. He dodges their bullets by jumping around and even deflecting their bullets. One of the bullets he deflected hit one of the staff members in the head, instantly killing him.

One of the staff got a lucky shot and hit him on the head, pushing his head back. They thought they got the man, but they noticed that the scorpion Faunus was glowing purple, bringing his head forward to them, laughing wickedly. "My turn." He said as he pointed his weapons towards the two staffs and two gun barrels that came out of his weapons, firing at them.

The bullets flew towards them, taking one of the staff members' lives, and the other one jumped away from the bullets, but unfortunately, one of the bullets hit the man's leg as he landed next to the console.

The last member of staff drags himself to the console, attempting to summon help by pressing an emergency button to sound the alarm, but he gasps in pain as the scorpion man stabs him in the back and pushes him away from the console, and the scorpion Faunus shoots him in the head, killing him.

The scorpion Faunus grabbed a device from his pocket, put it in the console, and activated it, letting the device's maker have access to the system. The scorpion Faunus put his finger on an earpiece and called someone, "Watts, you're in." The scorpion Faunus said to a man named Watts.

"Thank you, Tyrian; you did your part in getting in, and now it's my turn to disable their defence." He said he opened the four gates, the turrets, and their communication with the outside world. "Get out of there before someone walks in the mess you made," Watt tells the scorpion Faunus, which is now named Tyrian huffed. "Ah, did you plant the bombs yet?" Watts asked before Tyrian was about to go.

"Of course I did, and here's your proof," Tyrian said, smiling as he pulled the detonator and pressed it. Then, somewhere, several explosions happened around the town, shaking the buildings. He then rushed to get out of the control room before anyone stumbled upon the massacre.

But unbeknownst to them, one of the staff groaned after being stabbed, but not for long as he felt his body becoming weaker and weaker and breathing heavily, so the last act he did was take a device from his pocket and press a button, making a beeping sound.

Then the man went limp, dropping the device on the floor, and on the screen it said. 'Calling for Huntsman.'

LOCATION: BEACON ACADEMIES

A middle-aged man in his office, looking down at the school through the window while holding his cane, was inside a tower reaching to the clouds, where gears and clockwork ticked around the office near the window; this man is the Headmaster of the best Huntsman Academies called Beacon.

But this man had a different name before the Huntsman Academies were established, before the Great War; now he is a headmaster, and he goes by the name Ozpin.

Ozpin was about to sip his cocoa when he heard beeping sounds coming from the hologram computer. He then walked to his computer and checked what was there.

"Oh, an emergency call?" Much to his surprise, he said, looking at where the call was coming from. It was from the city of Ebenten. He smiled as he remembered when it was the first town to become a city and felt a little bit of nostalgia, then frowned as he realised something. "Strange, why is Ebenten calling for help?" Ozpin was confused about why Ebenten is calling for help even though the city is a well-protected place populated by the best Vale military and Huntsman, yet they are calling for help.

Ozpin worriedly called Ebenten to see if they had called by mistake and waited for them to answer. A few sounds of beeping passed, then stopped as he saw on the screen that there was no signal in Ebenten. "Something is wrong..." He murmurs.

Ozpin then heard a door opening, and he looked up to see a blonde lady with glasses and holding a device called a scroll walk into his office. "Glynda, your timing is impeccable; do you have any classes now?" He asked as he approached her.

The woman named Glynda Goodwitch looked confused at Ozpin's question and shook her head. "Um, no, I don't. Is there a problem, Ozpin?"

"There might be. I got an emergency call from Ebenten, and they are not answering my call." He said.

"Ebenten? Are you sure they accidentally called?" Glynda asked the same thing.

Ozpin shook his head and gestured for her to follow him as they headed to the elevator. "No, they never made a mistake like that. Something happened in Ebenten, and I want you to gather a team of Huntsman and Huntresses to go to Ebenten."

Glynda was to say that he was worrying too much, that they have the best people working there, and that it is well-protected, but she stopped when she saw Ozpin's serious look. She knows that he can be difficult sometimes with his strange habits like his coffee addiction, enrolling people out of nowhere or from a bandit tribe like those twins, letting students off the hook, and many other things she disagrees with.

But she trusted what Ozpin was doing. "You are sure that they need our help?" She sighs as the elevator stops where it needs to be, and two of them come out into the hallway and walk to the docking bays.

Ozpin just nodded as Glynda checked the available huntsmen and huntresses, although almost all of them are on a mission fighting the Grimm that have been appearing all over Vale, which worries her. They have heard reports that Grimm has been attacking frequently in the past few months. Attacking villages, trains, attacking Huntsman on a mission, and even the cities.

But there is one report that has caught her attention. Last night there was an energy signature that only lasted for a few seconds, and a group of people with a Huntsman were travelling to a village after it was destroyed by the Grimm and saw something in the distance.

"Hm, Glynda, what are you reading?" Ozpin asked as he noticed the report she was reading as they walked. Then he leant closer to see the summary of the report and read that the Huntsman reported that he and the people he was escorting saw a bright white light in the forest, and then there was the sound of fighting where the light was. The Huntsman even recorded the strange phenomenon.

"Glynda, could you please play the video." He asked Glynda, which she did as she was curious, while they were still heading to the docking bay.

The recording started after the white light disappeared. A few minutes passed as Ozpin and Glynda heard muttering in the background, and then the people gasped and screamed as they heard beowolf howling and the sound of fighting over there.

A minute passed as they heard the beowolf fighting something large that was attacking the beowolf, then it stopped and came after it, a deep angry howl from an alpha, and another powerful roar they didn't recognise roaring at each other in the forest, then the fighting resumed, shaking the trees and scaring off the nearby animals.

Fighting continues to the sound of crashing, heavy footsteps, and the roars of both beasts. Then the Alpha howled in agony. They all listened intensely. Minutes passed, and they wondered if the fight was over. But they got their answers when they started roaring again; this time the Alpha sounded like it was in pain, and the other one sounded excited.

The people in the video gasped and screamed as a burst of fire shot out from the forest. Then seconds passed and a roar of victory from the unknown monster erupted where the fight was, and the beast stomped away, pushing the tree aside and shaking the tree to the north.

The video finished, and Ozpin and Glynda stared at it with awe and worry. "Well, that was interesting," Ozpin said while Glynda opened and closed her mouth a couple of times before clearing her throat and asking as they finally arrived at the Beacon Dock.

"Ozpin, what was that? It is a new Grimm that attacks its kind?" As she looked at the image the Huntsman took, she wondered where the fight was. Seeing burned grass, broken trees, and the footprints of the mysterious creature.

"I have to admit. I really don't know." He said this as he waved at a pilot to get ready, then turned to face Glynda. "Despite my years of fighting the Grimm and remembering every single one of them, I don't recognise the footprint or the roar. Plus, I think it's not a Grimm..."

"So what do you think it is?" Glynda asked.

Ozpin shrugs his shoulders and smiles cheekily. "Maybe it's an alien." He said it casually, which caused Glynda to sigh, pinch the bridge of her nose, and complain.

"Ozpin, be serious. We don't know anything about this creature or why it attacks the Grimm. "This might be a new type of Grimm Ozpin. "Then her face changed, and she spoke in a whisper with a grim look (no pun intended). "Or perhaps it's made by... her Ozpin."

Ozpin's smile faltered a bit, and he spoke in a serious tone. "It can't be her, Glynda. She is making Grimm every day to cause destruction and fear, but a Grimm attacking its kind? That doesn't make any sense."

Glynda frowned as the bullhead engine fired up and began to blow wind everywhere. "You may be right, but..." She pauses as she looks down at her scroll, looks at the images, and reluctantly asks him. "Are you sure the creature is alien?"

Ozpin put a hand on his chin, hummed at the same time, and then spoke, looking at her. "I know it may be farfetched, but I believe this creature is not from our planet."

Glynda looked at him with disbelief and said, "If it is an actual alien, then that means the Brothers are back and making—"

"No." Ozpin interrupted her, which surprised her. He continued to grip his cane tightly and spoke with a hint of anger. "The Gods are not back, and they would never create a creature to interfere with my mission of bringing peace to the Remnant. The creature isn't made by the Brothers."

Glynda frowned at his words and asked. "But how can you be sure that Gods didn't create it? It has been millions of years since the Gods left Remnant and made you immortal to stop her. Maybe they decided to create the creature from another planet, and somehow it was brought to our planet." She remarks at him. "Who knows, maybe there is another intelligent life out there, and you're saying they didn't make it?"

Ozpin just sighed and shook his head, which made her scoff and turns away from him.

Both stood in silence at the dock, then Glynda sighed, turning back and placing her hand on his shoulder, staring into his eyes, and speaking softly to him. "I know talking about the Brothers is uncomfortable for you, especially your immortality." She pauses, noticing he gripped his cane, then continues. "I won't force you to tell, I know you have a lot of secrets that we don't know about. But sometimes it is good for you and us if you tell your trusted friends. "You're not alone in this war."

The two stood there for a few seconds. Ozpin was taken aback by her speech, but he chuckled and smiled gratefully at her. "Thank you, Glynda, that was very helpful." He received a smile from her and then asked. "Though I wonder how you got so wise?"

Glynda smirked and said. "I learned it from a wise old wizard who likes cocoa a lot." She removed her hand from his shoulder, then frowned as she wondered why he would react like that. It's almost like he is certain that they didn't create it. She knows that the God of Darkness created the Grimm, and maybe her...

Before she can ask. Ozpin put his hand up, stopping her, and said. "I will answer your question soon or later, but now we must focus on Ebenten and finding out the problem there." He saw Glynda's face; she still wanted to question him, but he showed a look that said he would tell her soon.

Glynda sighed, shaking her head and telling Ozpin as she examined the available hunters; she smiled as she recognised their names. "There are two Huntsman and Huntresses in Vale who are ready to help. Plus, the two are people we know of."

"Oh? And who would they be exactly?" Ozpin asked, raising an eyebrow, which made Glynda turn her scroll towards him, showing the names and faces of the two Huntsman.

Summer Rose and Qrow Branwen.

"Ah, Summer and Qrow are here in Vale today?" He smiles as he recognises his friends and former students. He is glad they are available because those two are the best Huntsman he has ever taught. Then he remembers why they are here. "Summer's eldest daughter's birthday is coming soon, isn't it?" He asked Glynda, who nodded, but her smile went away as she added.

"Unfortunately, since there are a dozen Grimm attacks outside of Vale, all the Huntsman in Vale and some from other kingdoms came to deal with the situation," Glynda told him.

Ozpin hummed, his face contorted with concern over the lack of Huntsman available. Then he sighed and, turning to Glynda, asked her. "We have to make do. Glynda, could you please join them? They could need the help they get at Ebenten."

Glynda nodded, agreeing, and headed to the bullhead. As she got inside, she heard Ozpin calling her. "Be careful over there. I fear that something is not right in Ebenten, and I want the three of you to be ready for what you find." She nodded, pushing her glasses up as the aircraft door closed.

Ozpin watched the airship fly away as he slipped his coco and spoke quietly. Not to himself, but to someone, as he felt them watching, smiling at him from afar. "This is part of the show, isn't it?" He turned to the stalker, and only caught a glimpse of them with a mask, a half comedy, half tragedy mask, before they disappeared. spoke again with anger in his voice. "Is this their entertainment?"
