Gruetly Bay Farm Life
Season one Episode thirteen: A Guitar Ruining Prank
Rock music started playing for the opening theme, and after a couple seconds, Lucky was shown to be skateboarding out of the barn with a confident smile. "London to Gruetly Bay is kind of a big change! (Patch is shown to be drawing something while sitting under a tree and hi fiving Lucky as he skates by) But Lucky's gonna take it on cause the mission's in range! (Two-tone is shown to be helping the pink pig from the intro with a dress as she waves to Lucky as he skates by) He and his friends are ready for whatever comes their way! (Rolly is shown to be reading a cooking magazine while giving a thumbs up to Lucky as he passes by) And they'll be by each other's side every day!"
Lucky is then shown to be talking to Roxie with the two showing clear feelings for one another. "Romance, (Lucky is shown to be punching a ferret that tries to attack him) action, (Lucky and his friends are shown to be various activities in the Bark Brigade) it doesn't matter! They're gonna work hard to make it better! (Lucky is shown to be punching Mooch right in the jaw) Bullies, (Lucky is shown to be struggling to sit through one of Tibbs' lectures) boredom, they can get through it! (Lucky is shown to be admiring his butt in a mirror before he jumps out the window) And Lucky is the leader who's gonna become most fit!"
The song then finished with the song finishing in an epic rock fashion as Lucky skateboards down the ladder to the window of the barn's top floor. "He's skateboard packed and ego charged! (Lucky is shown giving a sly grin and finger bang to some nearby animals who're annoyed by his ego) Cocky bugger livin' large! (Lucky spots Cruella about to hit one of his siblings) But when danger comes a knockin'; (Lucky saves his sibling and gets out of the way) he's ready for nose popping!"
Lucky and his friends then do their own individual poses with Lucky doing a peace sign, Patch giving a cheerful smile, Two-tone giving a friendly wave, and Rolly patting his stomach. "He's ready to get through the strife, (Lucky and his friends are seen spotting something in the distance) in his new Gruetly Bay Farm, Life!" The screen blows up with it then showing Lucky and Mooch scheming behind the others backs, making it clear that they both planning to do something to one another, and that they had to be discreet about what that 'something' was.
Lucky and the other Bark Brigade listening to one of Tibbs' lectures, which he was using a whiteboard to assist him with. The lecture was revealed to be about smoke bombs and how useful they were, whether in battle or not. "Be sure to study this knowledge, and to hone your current skillset as well so you can have a shot at being the first of your cadet league to advance to the rank of deputy." Lucky raised his paw, catching Tibbs' attention. "Yes Lucky?"
"Is there a type of smoke bomb that can make people think there's a fire?" Lucky asked, feeling that a smoke bomb starting a fire could be cool.
Tibbs thought about that, but didn't really have a good answer. "I'm not sure how that would work Lucky. Please explain."
"Well, smoke is a sign of fire, right?" Lucky asked, and as he explained onward, Tibbs was getting a more clear picture. "And pretty much every place has a fire alarm, meaning that there's plenty of opportunity to trip people out and make them think there's a fire in the building. The smoke would help the case of anyone who points it out too." The others were impressed by this. Lucky was clearly passionate about the Bark Brigade. "So in theory, if we can make a smoke bomb that projects smoke and makes a fire alarm sound at the same time, we could make them evacuate."
Tibbs liked the sound of that and got to writing it down in his notebook. "Brilliant idea Lucky! I'll speak about it with Colonel later and see if it's possible."
Lucky smiled in response before Patch offered him a hi five, which he happily accepted. Mooch was shown to be annoyed with the praise he was getting however. Just then however, an annoying gruff voice was heard from nearby that got on everyone's nerves. "What the heck are you maggots talking about!?"
"Oh great." Lucky was quick to point out the very Pug they saw walking towards them. "It's Liuetenant Provoking and his loud mouth."
Pug ignored Lucky's comment as he jumped onto the stump Tibbs was standing in front of, feeling that what he had to say was much more important. "We shouldn't be talking about smoke bombs! We should be talking about the Great Cat Invasion!"
Tibbs put a paw on his forehead as he looked away from Pug, getting quite frustrated with him rather quickly. "Pug, please. I'm right here."
"You're a part of it too cat!" Pug called out, and Tibbs' butt was shown to be pointed in Pug's direction as he said that. "You'll most likely lead the invasion when it finally-" Even though Tibbs' butt was bigger than average size, Pug didn't notice until Tibbs unintentionally released...
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT
...A ripe and loud ten second fart that hit Pug in the face with a big green cloud of moldy fish, causing Tibbs' butt to vibrate as the tabby cat blushed in embarrassment. Even though the students found the fact that Pug got farted on more humorous than the fart itself, Tibbs still chuckled nervously as he wafted the fart away with his paw. "I'm terribly sorry about that everyone." Pug ended up lying on his back after the fart hit him, growling to himself over how he was humiliated like that.
Lucky and his friends were hanging out by the farm windmill as Lucky was playing a melody he felt fit with the outdoors. The melody was quite calming, and made the group feel safe outside. Lucky looked to Roxie in particular to see what she thought about it. "What do you think Roxie? More soft? Or too soft?"
Roxie listened for a little longer and found that the tempo of Lucky's song was just right. "The vibe is definitely the one you want. I think you're good."
Lucky smiled in response and continued playing, only to notice something flying at him and the others, leaving Lucky to duck since it went right for him. It was a water balloon, and Lucky wasn't very happy about it. "Hey! What gives!?"
Mooch, Dipstick, and Whizzer were walking up to Lucky and his friends with Mooch holding another water balloon in preparation. "I'm glad you asked Lucky. Seeing you suck up to Tibbs like that after what happened at our sleepover got on my nerves. So I'm here to pay you back."
"You chased him down with a giant needle!" Blake shouted, stepping forward as he reminded Mooch of that event. "You don't really have a leg to stand on there!"
Mooch hit Blake with the water balloon he was holding, and he sat down next to Patch, who comforted him as he pointed out something else. "And Lucky wasn't 'sucking up' to Tibbs as you put it. We all have the right to share ideas we have during lectures."
"As if you guys don't know that he's always looking for attention!" Mooch shouted back, and then he got Dipstick and Whizzer ready. "Dipstick! Whizzer! Fire!" The three canines then threw all of the water balloons they had at Lucky and his friends, getting them all wet, and some were even hitting Lucky's guitar.
Lucky panicked upon sight of his guitar getting wet and covered it up before running off with Patch. "Patch! Get this to mum and dad before it gets too dry!"
Patch accepted the guitar and nodded to Lucky, knowing that he would hate to see his guitar get ruined. "I'm on it Lucky!"
Patch ran off, leaving Lucky to charge at Mooch, Dipstick, and Whizzer just as they ran out of water balloons. "Oh crud."
Lucky tackled Mooch to the ground and started punching him in the face, scaring Dipstick and Whizzer again. "Oh crud is right!" After punching Mooch enough times, Lucky kicked him down the hill the windmill was on. "Buttheads!" This caused him to roll into Dipstick and Whizzer, leading to all three of them rolling into a pile of mud. The sight of Mayor Ed Pig's deadpan expression made it clear that they'd rolled into his turf. Lucky then ran off in a panic, hoping that his guitar was okay. "My guitar!"
Lucky was in the house's living room with Patch, who tried to comfort him over the possible state of his guitar. "We got out of there as fast as we could Lucky. Mum and dad should have no problem drying it off."
"I really do hope so Patch." Lucky responded, tugging his right ear a bit due to how stressed this was making him. "I've never gotten it wet before."
Patch patted Lucky's back in an attempt to help calm him down over the situation. "I know buddy. I know."
Pongo and Perdita came back into the living room from the kitchen, clearly worried as Pongo spoke up. "We did the best we could Lucky. Hopefully it works again."
Lucky was anxious, but Patch encouraged him to at least try to see if his guitar still worked. "Come on Lucky. Give it a try."
Lucky looked at his guitar and continued to show concern. He picked it up after a few seconds, figuring it as at least worth a try. "Well... alright. What should I play?"
"Whatever comes to your heart sweetie." Perdita advised Lucky, knowing that would be the best place to start.
Lucky took note of that and started an attempt to play a melody that captured how angry he was at Mooch, Dipstick, and Whizzer. When he tried to however, he found himself unable to match the melody due to the tone being off. He started to panic, leaving Patch to give him another idea concernedly. "Maybe we should try tuning it?"
"Yeah. Okay. Lets." Lucky tuned his guitar and attempted to get the right tone again. When he played a softer tune this time, he found the same results. His emotions started boiling, and he started to panic again. "Come on, come on." Lucky tuned his guitar again, and as he failed to get the right tone again, Pongo and Perdita showed just how awful they felt about this. "Work darn it!" Lucky tuned his guitar again for another attempt, and after that failed, Patch, Pongo, and Perdita could feel the heartbreak in his voice. "Please! Don't die on me! I need your comfort!"
Lucky started sobbing as a result of this, and Pongo did his best to comfort his son. "We're sorry Lucky. We're all so sorry." Patch hugged Lucky in an attempt to comfort him as Perdita looked at Lucky's guitar, and then back at Lucky. She placed a paw on his knee to let her know she was there for him.
Perdita made an effort to make Lucky feel better by letting him know Dipstick and Whizzer wouldn't get away with this. "We'll be sure to give your brothers a long, stern conversation later Lucky. And that they, along with Mooch, don't get away with this."
Lucky sniffled a bit and looked at his mother, glad that the three canines in the room had his back. "Thank you." Lucky sobbed a bit more, and Patch patted his back to help him cope better.
Back in the puppies' room, Lucky was wrapped up in his blanket as Patch tried to help him feel better about the situation. "It'll be okay Lucky. Mum and dad said they'd get you a new guitar."
"But it won't be the same Patch." Lucky responded, explaining why that was so hard for him as he turned to Patch. "I've been practicing with that guitar since we were five. Playing with a new one would just feel weird!"
Roxie heard Lucky from the bottom of the ladder, and Two-tone came over with an ice cream for him before telling Roxie why. "This happens sometimes when Lucky gets faced with a change he isn't expecting. Like when we moved out here."
"Ah." Roxie went up the ladder with Two-tone following behind her. After they arrived at the top, Two-tone gave Lucky his ice cream, which was revealed to be chocolate when he opened it. Good thing chocolate couldn't kill dogs anymore. Roxie made an effort to comfort Lucky as well, feeling she had some advice that could work for him. "Ya know Lucky, you weren't prepared for when you moved to the farm either. But you were still able to adjust."
Lucky got what Roxie was saying and thought about it for a moment before seeing what Roxie meant. "Are you saying I should be able to adjust to a new guitar as well?"
"Yes, exactly!" Roxie exclaimed, being glad that her help was working, even if not as quickly as she'd hoped. It especially made her happy since her parents were so oppressive and expecting of her. Seeing her genuine efforts pay off was always a treat to her. "I've seen you defend us from a alligator before Lucky. I know you're tough enough to take on a new guitar."
Lucky unwrapped himself from the blanket, having to admit that he couldn't argue with Roxie there. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Thanks Rox. You really know your words." Roxie wasn't all that used to being praised in her family, so that made her blush a little. Lucky then got onto how to get back at Mooch. "I'm still mad at Mooch though. He couldn't have not known how much that guitar meant to me."
Patch gave a sly grin, since he figured that was the case, and already had an idea on how to make Mooch suffer. "Shall I get my drawing stuff?" Lucky gave a thumbs up to Patch, being ready to make Mooch look like a complete idiot.
The next day, Lucky and his friends were selling Lucky and Patch's comic strip on the farm, which they soon realized they could use as funds for Lucky's new guitar. Blake was calling out to everyone who passed by in the hopes that they would purchase. "Mooch Gets Wet! Get your copy of Mooch Gets Wet right here! A humorous strip from Lucky and Patch!"
As Lucky and the others continued selling the comic Mooch slammed his paw on the counter on Rolly's direction. "What the heck is this!? Speak up Donut!"
"I think you'd prefer speaking to Lucky about that." Rolly informed Mooch, pointing to Lucky and Patch, who were prepared for this talk.
Mooch took the comic strip and slammed it down in front of Lucky and Patch. He was clearly angry with them, but Patch still held Lucky's paw in case things got violent. "Speak up Luckless and Eye patch! What's the big deal about this comic!?" Lucky and Patch looked at the comic, and they couldn't help snickering as they did.
The strip was in hand drawn, just like the last one, and it was called 'Mooch Gets Wet', as Blake announced. The first slide showed Mooch looking stupid while holding a bucket of water balloons. "Duh!"
The second slide showed him throwing the water balloons at Lucky and his friends, with the third one showing Lucky being angry about his guitar. "Hey! What's the big diea!"
The fourth slide showed Mooch shrugging as he admitted that he didn't have a good reason. "It's a pretty bad reason. I just hate being more stupider than you."
"It's more stupid." Lucky stated bluntly in the fifth slide, and then the sixth slide showed him pinning Mooch to the ground. The seventh slide showed him beef stewing Mooch, followed by a...
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP
...nasty ten second fart, which was then followed up by Lucky proudly wafting the fart away while lifting his butt up in the last slide as everyone else covered their noses and cheered for him. "Horray for Lucky Dearly!"
End.
Lucky and Patch were quite proud of the strip, but Lucky finished snickering as he let Mooch try and remember the comic strip's origin himself. "I think you know why we made this Mooch."
"How would I know why you boneheads made a comic strip that-" Mooch then remembered yesterday, but was still angry about the comic. "Is this because of your stupid guitar!?" Lucky started to get triggered over Mooch calling his guitar stupid. "Big whoop!"
Lucky was about to lunge at Mooch, but Patch held him back. "Don't let him get to you Lucky." Lucky clenched his fists and tried to hold back as Patch then told Mooch off. "That guitar meant a lot to Lucky, Mooch! You have no right to insult it like that!"
"Just like HE has no right to suck up to Tibbs!" Mooch called out, and then he got an idea and gave a smug grin to Lucky. "He and Grandpa won't like what you have going on-"
Lucky punched Mooch square in the nose, making everyone else flinch, with some of them being shocked as he noticed. The two words Lucky exclaimed next were all too familiar to his friends and family. "TWENTY MINUTES!" And with that, Patch put the closed sign up so Lucky could take his break.
While Lucky was taking his twenty minutes, where he was shown trying to relax on his bed, Patch was explaining the situation to their parents do he didn't get in trouble. "And it wouldn't have happened if Mooch didn't insult his guitar. Please don't take away the money we made to replace it."
Pongo couldn't help laughing a bit as he pointed out the flaw in Patch's plea. "Patch, even if we DID take it, we would've put it toward Lucky's replacement guitar."
"Oh." Patch laughed a bit himself before asking what was going to happen to Lucky. He didn't want him to get punished over a reaction to Mooch's typical bullying. "So... you're not gonna punish Lucky then?"
"We're certain Mooch deserved it." Perdita assured Patch, despite hoping Lucky would eventually be able to control his anger issues. "Still. We do hope Lucky managed to contain these outbursts better in the future."
"It would be a lot easier if some of the farm residents considered not angering him as an option." Pongo joked, laughing a bit before then getting serious about what he said. "In all seriousness; it would be much better for all of us." Pongo then showed concern for Lucky, and Perdita did as well when he spoke up again.
Patch started rubbing his arm, hoping Lucky would soon be comfortable with opening up about why he was like this with his anger. "Do you think it's time?"
"That's up to Lucky." Pongo reminded Patch, and then he took out the money he and Lucky made and had an idea. "And if he doesn't think so, I know a much better way to pass the time." Patch liked where this was going, as did Perdita. And they knew Lucky would too.
A little while later, Roxie and Blake were waiting in line at the snack stand with Blake being unable to wait patiently. "Come on, come on; I need my cheddar bombs!"
"Whining isn't gonna make the line go any faster Blake." Roxie reminded Blake, and then she let him know that she knew how he felt. "If I could make the line go any faster, I would."
Blaze then started stamping his front paws in protest over the lack of movement. "We haven't moved at all in a whole minute!"
Roxie then saw at the front of the line that Mooch was holding up the line as Mooch argued with Connor about something. "Do I look like I care if it's reserved for Lucky!? That horseshoe spotted jerk doesn't deserve that soda after he humiliated me!"
"To be fair Mooch, you don't make it easy to ignore you." Connor pointed out, not having it with Mooch's behavior right now. "Now either order something that hasn't already been reserved, or get the heck out of here! I can see Blake getting impatient from here."
"Fine!" Mooch slammed down some money and gave a new order in anger. "Get me some peanut butter crackers, and those had better nod be reserved too."
Connor got Mooch his new order and handed it to him, hoping he didn't have to deal with him again anytime soon. "Thanks for coming, and I hope you don't come back."
Roxie and Blake noticed the line moving again, making Blaze relieved with Roxie rubbing his head in response. Roxie then overheard Mooch mention something about Lucky that got her attention. "That jerk. I should break his new guitar too." Roxie wasn't about to let that line go without investigation. She hoped Blake wouldn't mind a last minute detour.
Roxie and Blake were watching Mooch prepare some more water balloons while laughing to himself. The two hoped Mooch wasn't actually planning to break Lucky's new guitar. Blake looked to Roxie to see what she really thought about it. "Are you sure he'd try this again Roxie?"
"It's Mooch. Who else on the farm would be stupid enough to do the same tactic twice?" Roxie pointed out, and the two continued watching as Mooch put the water balloons into a big metal bucket, which he held onto tightly when picking it up. "We gotta at least make sure he's not gonna ambush them unexpectedly."
As Roxie and Blake continued onward to follow Mooch in the shadows, Blake whispered another question to Roxie. "Would it really be unexpected if we were expecting him to do it though?"
"It will be to Lucky and Patch at least." Roxie answered, knowing that was enough to put Lucky at risk of losing another guitar. "The last thing those two need right now is for Mooch to make all their hard work for nothing." Blake saw Roxie's point and kept moving with her, not wanting to see Mooch succeed in upsetting Lucky, or Patch.
Blake then felt his stomach growl and knew it was his hunger. Since Roxie noticed, he let her know right away. "Roxie, I'm still really hungry."
"Eat your bag of cheddar bombs and catch up as quickly and quietly as you can." Roxie advised Blake, stepping out of the bush they were watching Mooch in to see where he would be heading off to. Just as she suspected, it was near the part of the road Lucky and his family always parked on. "I'll be on the second floor of the farm."
"Okay." Blake responded, and then he opened up his bag of cheddar bombs and ate them as quickly as he could. It was a pretty big bag too, and it wasn't a move Blake thought through all that well. It kept him behind Roxie by a fair bit, and he let out a loud burp as soon as he was done, showing that it was a big eat for him.
UUUUURRRRRP
After groaning a bit, the German Shepherd realized how behind he was compared to Roxie. "Roxie, wait up!" Blake ran off as fast as he could, making sure to try and stay out of Mooch's point of view as he made his way to where Roxie was.
Meanwhile, at the Gruetly Bay music shop, Lucky, Patch, and their parents left through the front door with Lucky holding his new guitar in it's case. It seemed as if he loved this guitar quite a bit as well by the smile on his face. When he and Patch sat down on the bus, Patch was quick to encourage Lucky to start playing once they got back. "Just wait until the others hear what you can play on this Lucky. I just know you'll be as good with this guitar as the other one."
"So long as Mooch doesn't try to splash this one as well." Lucky added once the bus took off. He did start to get anxious over whether or not that was going to happen again. "Here's hoping he doesn't try anything when we get back. I don't think I could handle losing two guitars in one week."
"We won't let that happen buddy." Patch assured Lucky, ready to back him up if Mooch tried to break his new guitar. "Mum and dad said themselves on the way here that they'd talk to Colonel about this. And we both know there's no way he and Tibbs would let Mooch get away with something like this."
Lucky felt more relief upon being reminded of that and hugged Patch to show it. "Can't deny that, I guess." Patch wrapped his arms around Lucky, glad that he was able to help him get new guitar, and help him stop stressing about Mooch. Or at least he wasn't stressing about it as much as he was before. Either way, it was good for him.
Roxie was watching Mooch from the second floor of the farm as expected, and Blaze climbed up the ladder to join her in the stealth mission. Blaze's stomach growled again, which caught Roxie's attention and led to her shushing him. "Sorry; I must've eaten the cheddar bombs too fast. I think I have indigestion." Blaze tried to ignore his tummy growling and looked out the window with Roxie. "Is Mooch out there?"
Roxie pointed to Mooch waiting right at the parking spot of the bus with the bucket of water balloons he took with him. Roxie and Blake weren't about to let Mooch ruin Lucky's guitar again, and Roxie started devising a plan to stop it. "Here's what I'm thinking Blake. There's two of us, and one of him. Lucky makes him look like a joke all the time. If we gang up on him and get the water balloons away, we should have no problem stopping him."
"I like it!" Blake exclaimed, and then his stomach growled again with him groaning a bit as he advised Roxie that we hurry. "We should make it quick though." Roxie rubbed Blake's belly a bit with a smile, which made him feel better about his indigestion.
Mooch was waiting beside the water balloons while whistling to himself before Roxie spoke up from nearby. "Mooch!"
Mooch flinched and looked to see Roxie and Blake walking over to him. He tried to cover up what he was doing, failing to miss that it was pointless. "Oh, Roxie; Blake! Funny seeing you two around here."
"Our friends live on the farm; what are you up to?" Roxie asked while pointing out an obvious fact to Mooch. The Sheepdog tried to think of a good excuse with Roxie pointing out the water balloons he had. "Whatever it is, I can only assume it involves those water balloons."
Mooch chuckled nervously, giving the best excuse he could come up with. "Um... it's National Water Balloon Day?"
Roxie and Blake gave each other blunt expressions and then nodded to each other before Roxie called Mooch out. "You're going to sabotage Lucky's new guitar, aren't you." Mooch struggled for ten seconds to think of a good excuse, leaving Roxie to nod to Blake, despite his stomach growling again right after she did. "Blake; get the water balloons!"
"Right!" Blake rushed in to get the water balloons with Roxie pinning Mooch to the ground before he could escape. As Blake grabbed the water balloons and tried to run off however, Mooch grabbed his tail to stop him. This proved to be a mistake however, because right after Blaze flinched, what emerged from his rear end was...
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT
...a loud and bassy ten second fart that showed the German Shepherd's vibrating butt as Mooch was hit in the face with a green cloud of moldy cheese. Roxie ended up being surrounded by the fart cloud herself, but she managed to keep her composure well enough while wafting it away to call Mooch out on what he was doing. "You've got some nerve Mooch! What could Lucky have done to deserve this!?"
"Does helping Patch steal Bella from me count!?" Mooch shouted, and then the Dearly family bus was shown coming up the sidewalk with Blake sheepishly wafting his fart away with his tail while chuckling nervously. "Don't think I'll forget this pipsqueak."
"As if I'd ever let you touch him." Roxie warned Mooch, who did his best to compose himself while covering his nose from the fart.
When the bus stopped, Lucky and Patch laughed when they saw that Mooch had gotten taken down once again. Lucky was also quick to call him out on the karma he received in that moment. "Serves you right Mooch! Maybe Colonel won't have to punish you for breaking my first guitar!" Mooch growled in response to that, desiring to get back at Lucky now more than ever.
Back at Colonel's railway car, Colonel was scolding Mooch for what he tried to do to Lucky's second guitar. "It was one thing to destroy Lucky's first guitar during a prank Mooch. But making a premeditated plan to destroy it his brand new guitar? That's quite another." Mooch's arms were crossed as he looked at the ground to avoid Colonel's gaze. "This behavior won't stand. Starting tomorrow, you're going to stop picking on Lucky and his friends."
Mooch started to get annoyed before accusing Colonel of picking sides. "You're seriously defending Lucky over me now? Come on Grandpa! You can't seriously be okay with the video he posted!"
"From what I remember, he apologized for that video." Colonel reminded Mooch, pointing out something else that occurred after the sleepover night. "He even took it down after realizing how much it hurt you."
"He already knew it would have! That's the problem!" Mooch exclaimed, still being bitter about the whole event, despite everyone else having moved on from it. "Do you really think someone being kept away by the sleep farting of their grandpa and said grandpa's best friend is anything to be proud of? As if you two didn't already stink up this place enough as is!"
Colonel sighed, knowing that he wasn't going to get through to Mooch with a normal conversation. "I don't want to do this Mooch, but because you won't see where you went wrong, I'm going to have to ground you for two weeks."
"What!? You can't do that gramps!" Mooch objected, being against the idea of grounding in general. "It's so not fair!"
"It sounds quite fair to me." Colonel stated, feeling that this would give Mooch some well needed reflection time. "Some time in here should give you some time to think about your actions."
Mooch got off of the couch and went for the bedroom in the railway care. He was growing even more tired of this lecture than before. "I highly doubt I could do that with you and Tibbs already making it hard to breathe around here." Mooch went into his room with Colonel sighing at how hard it was to watch over Mooch. He wanted to guide him down the right path, but he just wouldn't listen to what he had to say.
Lucky and his friends were in the puppies room at the barn as Lucky and Patch were getting ready to show them the former's new guitar. Lucky was especially excited as he held the guitar case in his arms. "You guys ready? You ready to see it?"
"We've been waiting for you to open the guitar case since you got back!" Spot informed Lucky, being as ready as the others to see what it was. "Go ahead and open it!"
Lucky happily did so, and Roxie, Blake, and Spot were surprised to figure out that it was just like the same colored light brown acoustic guitar he had before. They weren't disappointed, but they did expect something bigger. Roxie made that clear when she brought it up. "It's the exact same as your old guitar."
"I know; isn't it great!? They had the exact same model and color!" Lucky stated happily, making sure his guitar was properly tuned as he addressed the obvious surprise on his friends' faces. "I know, I know; I could've gone for something flashier and more cool looking. This one just spoke to me the most."
Two-tone spoke up in support of Lucky's decision, knowing how important something like this was to him. "It's always important to pick something you're most comfortable with Lucky. Something that, as you know, I always try to keep in mind for my fashion designing sessions."
Blake got an idea on how to make the guitar cooler, which he hoped Lucky would like. "Oh; I know! Maybe we can add some stripes to it to help it stand out from the last one!"
Lucky was about to object before thinking about it for a couple seconds. It was an idea that was at least worth considering. "Maybe. I'll get back to you on that."
Blake smiled in response with Rolly encouraging Lucky to give his new guitar a try to see how it felt. "Come on Lucky. Give your new guitar it's very first blind strum test."
Patch encouraged Lucky to play as well, putting a paw on his shoulder to help him in case he felt nervous. "Something tells me we're all going to love it.' Lucky smiled in response and made sure his guitar was properly tuned one last time before he started playing.
As Lucky was playing his new guitar, he found that it did in fact, feel a little different than his old one. At first, he was concerned, as he wasn't used to this slightly new feeling on his paws. But it still sounded perfect. And when Lucky saw his friends loving the music, he knew there was nothing wrong with it. He quickly got used to it, and Roxie could see the transition from slight concern, to the same joy he had with his old guitar. Patch noticed it right away as well, and was happy to see it. Even though it was small, it showed that Lucky was getting better at accepting change.
Lucky has certainly come a long way from being upset about moving to the country. Sure this was much smaller than that, but the fact that he got used to it so quickly was a good sign. This didn't mean he would be okay with all change in the future, obviously. But it at least meant he was more prepared for it than he was before. And he continued to show that by playing his new guitar for his friends to enjoy as the screen faded to black, ending the episode off.
An instrumental version of the main theme played during the credits.
