Hey! This is my first fan-fic type thing. It's a one shot of the scene that I thought of when I saw Silent Night. I thought that they could put just fit a little DL in there. I might change dialogue just a bit, but that's just so it fits.

Silent Night Secret Scene

Danny was sitting alone at the ice rink staring at the dead girl before him. He had arrived ten minutes ago and was just waiting on the other CSI that Mac was sending to help him.

Personally, he hoped it would be Lindsay. He hadn't been able to work on a case with her in a while now. Pretty much ever since she stood him up for dinner, Danny thought that Mac had sensed the tension between the two. Now Danny was lucky if he got to see Lindsay in the lab at all.

"Hey." He heard the familiar click-clack of Stella's heels coming up from behind him. Hiding his disappointment, Danny turned around to face her.

"You draw the short straw or something." He asked her.

"I think everyone drew a short one today." She sighed. "Mac and Hawkes are at the other scene and we're here."
Danny looked up at her in surprise. "Where's Lindsay?"

Stella shook her head. "To be honest with you I don't really know. She kind of left."

Danny raised his eyebrows. "Left?"

"Yeah as soon as she got there she asked Hawkes for the keys and left. I'll ask her about it later." Stella crouched down by him. "So what do we got?"

As Danny filled her in on the crime scene he couldn't help but wonder. 'Was this what Lindsay meant when she said she had things she needed to take care of?'

(A/N: okay, timeline might be a little off right here, sorry!)

A couple of day later, after they solved the crime and had a confession, Danny was sitting in his office filling out paperwork when he saw Lindsay go by the door. He raced out of his chair and chased after her.

"Hey Montana?" he called. She turned around and he could instantly read her face. She had been crying and wasn't in the mood to talk.

"Yeah?" she asked him.

He smiled. "Have a good weekend."

Her face softened. "You too." She turned and walked away, leaving him standing there.

'I'll ask her about it some other time.' Danny thought to himself as he went back to his office, shutting the door behind him.
