This Host Club

Chapter 3

His Jealousy

"There is no way I am going to wear that!" Who do they think I am? A doll for them to dress up in ridiculous clothes? This is insanity!

"Come on, Haruhi! It's part of today's theme!" The twins begged. They held an extremely pink kimono covered in flowers. "Our mom made this just for you. You have to wear it!" Now they were in my face, glaring at me.

"If you don't wear it Haruhi, I will have to raise your debt." Kyoya said through his clipboard.

Grumbling, I took the kimono from the twins, who were smiling at me evilly. Whatever they had planned, it wouldn't be anything good. The scariest thing was Tamaki looking like a little perv in his corner. He was dreaming naughty things again... Great.

I put on the kimono, and seeing it looked ok, I walked out to the music room, where the eyes of the Host Club fell on me.

"What? Does it look that bad?" I asked.

Tamaki charged in front of me, as if to cover me from the other members of the host club. "Mommy! Haruhi should not look like this in front of everyone! Daddy will not allow it." He grabbed my hands, looking into my eyes. "Go back and change into your uniform!"

"To bad, Daddy. This was the theme you chose after all. Deal with it." Kyoya smacked him on the head. Suddenly, Tamaki vanished into his corner, mumbling about being a bad father.

The Host Club Opens For Business:

"Hey Haruhi! Wow that kimono looks great on you!" Masota sat on the couch.

"Thanks, Masota-kun. How was archery club?" A smile already found it's way on my face.

"It was great! I shot a 40cm target from 35 meters away!" He told me about all the different types of archery he does and the many skills you need. He also told me that each bow's string is setup to each person's strength. Like, the string would be thinner or thicker, stronger or weaker for everyone. He old me about how he loves being outdoors, and loves sports as well. The smile he had never left his face, which told me e relaly did love anything athletic. After he finished, Masota pretended to shoot an arrow at me. "I think you gave me good luck."

"Oh..." I don't know why, but my face turned red at the comment. "That is really amazing, Masota-kun! I would never be able to do that..."

"Hey! I have an idea Haruhi!" He smiled at me. "Why don't you come to archery practice with me sometime, so I can show what to do?"

"You would do that for me? I would be happy to go with you!" Does that mean I am going on a date?

"Haruhi. May I speak with you for a moment?" Tamaki said as he finally emerged from his corner.

"Uh, sure. Excuse me, Masota-kun." I replied.

Tamaki led me far enough to where we couldn't be heard by Masota. "As your Daddy, I forbid you to go anywhere alone with that boy!" He shouted like a three-year old. Tamaki rambled on about how it wasn't appropriate for a young girl, like myself, to go places with strangers.

"Ok, Tamaki-senpai. I already have one Dad, and trust me, I don't need another one." I said as I thought of my dad, and what he might be doing right now.

His face fell, tears forming in his eyes. "Don't speak to your father like that!" He backed into his corner, and only sobs could be heard from him. He sure does love that corner...

Rolling my eyes, I returned to my spot on the couch. "Sorry about that. Official Club stuff. What time would you like me to find you tomorrow?"

"Uh, well, maybe after lunch? We don't have classes tomorrow so you could meet me then." He said with a confused look on his face. No doubt he is as scared about what just happened as I am.

"DADDY SAI-" Tamaki started to shout. Oh, shut up already!

"Hello. Are you Miss Haruhi?" Said a tall boy with long red hair and pale green eyes. \My breath was taken away as he smiled at me with such a loving expression.

"Hi! Yes I am! And you are...?"

"My name is Hiro Yoshida. May I sit down?" He asked pointing to the spot beside me.

"Um, sure!" I replied to him nervously, looking over at Masota, who didn't look very happy about it, but smile anyway.

"Wait! As your father, I do not approve of you seeing all these boys!" Tamaki said as he glared at me. "Why do you disobey your Daddy?"

"Ok, Tamaki-senpai... this is getting a little weird." I looked around to see everyone staring at us. There is something wrong with this guy...

"B-but Haruhi!"

"Tamaki! Aren't you forgetting about us?" Called Tamaki's customers. They were frowning at him, which caused Tamaki to go back to his "charming" mode. How do they fall for that so easily?

"So sorry to keep you waiting, ladies. I was caught up in some important business." He said as he walked back into his position.

"So, Hiro, what do you like to do?" I asked him after everything calmed down.

"Oh, Haruhi! How I have admired you from afar! Your beauty has left me breathless, your voice makes my heart beat fast." He said dramatically, and brought me into his arms. "I have loved you the moment I laid eyes you."

"Uh... Thank you?" I said, a blush returning to my face.

"Haruhi?" Asked Masota. I had totally forgotten he was there. "So I guess I will see you tomorrow?"

"Ye-" I barely finished my sentence before Hiro interrupted me. Oh no.

"And may I ask who you are?" Hiro questioned Masota.

"Masota Tanaka. And you are holding my girl." He glared at Hiro. I sat there thinking, are they seriously fighting over me right in front of my face?

"Excuse me, Haruhi. I must deal with something real quick." Hiro said, pointing at Masota. "Your girl? If you hadn't noticed, I just confessed my love to her. That means she is technically my girl. So please, remove yourself at once."

"You just met Haruhi and confessed your love to her. Doesn't that seem a little desperate? I at least am trying to get to know her a little better. I even asked her on a date before you did."

"Boys, boys. Please, not in front of the ladies." Tamaki said, trying to restore order. "If you wouldn't mind, could you guys do this somewhere else?"

They completely ignored Tamaki and continued to fight. "A date? And my Haruhi agreed to this?" Hiro looked at me with disappointment. "Well, then. Two can play at this game. Haruhi, would you like to join me for dinner tomorrow night?"

"Uh, well..." I stuttered nervously.

"Then its a date!" Hiro smiled.

And with that, the game began.
