An Ouran Host Club Fanfic
This Host Club
Chapter 4
What Date?
Ok, to tell you the truth, I have never been on a date before. Really didn't have any interest in guys. But now I really didn't have a choice, since I was practically being forced to do this.
The Host Club had a emergency meeting, but I wasn't allowed to go in. Tamaki said it was "Top Secret" and that commoners like me didn't need to worry about it. These rich people really had some nerve. Only thing I was looking forward to is being by Masota's side soon. He wasn't pushy and didn't invade my personal space like Hiro. Hopefully everything that happened yesterday didn't change anything. And it's not like I can't say no to Hiro. I am just not that kind of person.
"Oh, Haruhi!" Sang the twins from behind me. They poked my shoulder repeatedly, giving me no choice but to listen. Darn them.
"What?" I said irritably. One step on my bad side, and they were toast.
"Ready to go see your boyfriend?" They smiled devilishly at me, mocking my very existence.
"He is NOT my boyfriend!" I growled at them, raising my fist into the air. Why do they have to be so annoying with my personal life?
"Uh, technically he is." Kaoru said. "Yeah, since you are going on a date with him and all!" Hikaru finished for him. The same mocking smile was stuck on their face as the stared at me.
"Ugh! Would you just shut up!" Now my face began to heat up with both anger and embarrassment. We are not boyfriend and girlfriend! Were we? I mean, it's not like we have know each other that long anyway.
"Well, you best be on your way! Don't want to be late for your date!" They replied as they shoved me into the hallway. Some people just don't care!
Walking through the halls toward the Archery club, I felt the sun beating down on my neck. I hope they don't follow me...
"Haruhi, you made it!" I heard steps echoing behind me. Masota tackled me with a hug. "I thought you wouldn't be able to."
"Umm.. Yeah!" There was a blush beginning to form on my face.
"Well, come on!" He grabbed my hand, tugging me towards the archery range. The place was empty, and it looked like Masota set out bows and arrows already, too. "OK, lets see what bow would be best for you."
At first, he gave me a bow that I couldn't even hold. The next one, I wasn't able to pull the string back. Lastly, He handed me a beautiful wooden bow with symbols carved into the branch. It was lightweight and the string was easy to pull back.
"There we go! Perfect fit." Masota smiled, pleased with himself. "Now for the next step: Learning to aim correctly." He pointed towards the arrows, then at the target. "Shoot them really close to the target so you can get a feel on what to do."
"Alright." I grabbed an arrow, knocked it with the bow. Struggling a bit, my mind found the target, and fired. It went about 8 feet away from the target, scaring a cat out of its wits.
Masota tried not to laugh. "That's ok. It's only your first try so it doesn't have to hit the target every time. Go again."
Knocking the arrow again, I focused more on the placement on the target this time. The first shot made me realize to aim a little higher. The arrow made a swishing sound in the air and actually hit the target right in the middle.
That even made Masota speechless and he just stood there with his mouth wide open. "Try that again..."
I shot again, splitting my arrow. I tried this again and again, hitting the exact same spot each and every time. He also made me move farther and farther back, but that didn't change anything. The arrow always hit the very place it had before.
"That's... amazing." Masota said to me.
I turned to face him, smiling. "Guess I am just a natural!"
"Smarty-pants!" He poked me in the stomach. Laughing, I stepped back. Following, he poked my side, making me laugh and step away from him again. We repeated this until he wrapped his arms around my sides, grinning. "Caught you!"
We stood like that for a few moments, faces so close together. Our eyes were locked in place and weren't going anywhere for a long time. Space between us grew smaller, his sweet breath intoxicating me.
"DADDY SAID NO! NO NO NO!" Tamaki shouted, emerging from the bushes suddenly. Me and Masota broke apart, as if just realizing how close we were.
"Boss! Stop!" The twins tried to pull him back, but there was no stopping Tamaki now.
"Haruhi! You disobeyed your father's demands again!" Tamaki screamed, on the verge of tears. "No more boys. I say no and now you must obey!" Now his face was red with rage. He turned to Masota. "And you! You stay away from my little girl! She will not be going out with the likes of you... or anyone!"
"Tamaki! Why do you follow me around? It's really beginning to creep me out..." I broke the two guys apart. Masota looked as disturbed as I felt. Great...
"Oh, no! I have been a bad father and you are displeased by my actions. Forgive me, my daughter!" Tamaki bowed in front of me, making everything even more awkward.
"Uhhh... Masota. Thank you for everything, but I think it's time for me to go." I walked out, leaving the host club and Masota behind me.
After I exited the athletics area, someone took my wrist, and pulled me towards them. "Hello, my lovely Haruhi." Ugh, it was Hiro.
"Hi Hiro." I smiled up at him.
"Now that you have left those fools, it is time you see what a real date is like." He dragged me towards a limo. "Please, join me for dinner." He still held my hand, looking into my eyes.
"Well... you see.. I kinda-" And again I wasn't able to finish.
"Excellent!" He said, leading me into the limousine. The ride was long, and I was stuck in Hiro's arms the whole time, with no escape. He rambled on about my beauty and my sweet voice for an hour. Finally, we arrived at what looked like a very expensive sushi restaurant.
"Uh, are you sure this is OK?" I asked Hiro as he motioned me to follow him inside.
"It's fine, my princess." He replied. Turning to the host of the restaurant, he ask him for a table for two. "Follow me."
Oh, crap... At the booth, he pulled me closer to him, not giving me a chance to react.
"So, Haruhi, how was your day?" He asked me, stroking my hair like an obsessed stalker. Maybe he was...
"Uh, fine I guess..." Where was he going with this?
"And your 'date' with Makoto?" He asked, putting disgust in his name.
"My date with Masota was wonderful actually. He was a perfect gentleman." I said, making sure I added emphasis into his name as well.
"Oh... well.." Our conversation didn't go anywhere as we ate through the most amazing meal I have ever eaten. He would say something here and there, and I would say 'Cool' or 'Really?'. We left as quickly as we had came in.
We were back at the school, since I didn't want the host club to know where I live, I most definitely wouldn't want Hiro to know. That's like giving a creeper your address.
"My night with you has been short, but I enjoyed every second of it." Hiro said, kissing my hand lightly. Well, he was sweet, I would give him that much.
"I enjoyed myself as well, Hiro. Good night." I said, walking off in the direction of my house. The night air was much cooler than during the day. I shivered, remembering I left my jacket at home. Oh, well.
"Cold, young lady?" A voice said from behind me. The person wrap a jacket around my shoulders. "There you go." I new that voice from somewhere.
I turned around, gasping to see someone I have been missing dearly. "Ko?"
Sorry that it was kinda long! Hope you liked it! ;)
