A/N: Originally this plot was for Rose and Scorpius but once I started writing it I decided it fits Victoire and Teddy better so I changed it. I hope you like it. Read it and let me know.

Disclaimer: I don't own the world of Harry Potter.

"You look beautiful." he said. That's what they all said. Victoire Weasley had been called beautiful her whole life. Men's eyes had followed her from the day she turned eleven but even before that she had been called beautiful so many times it had lost any meaning.

But when he said it to her it was different. When Teddy said it she believed him. Maybe it was the way he looked right in her eyes when he said it instead of as he looked up and down her body like most other men did. He looked more at her personality rather than her appearance. Nobody had ever done that before. All anybody had ever seen before was her pretty face. That's all she ever was to anyone: a pretty face, something to look at but not good for anything else. They had never looked deeper to try to see who she truly was. He was different though, he looked at all of her. With him, she found the beauty buried deep inside her soul. He made her feel beautiful not just on the outside but on the inside too. And this made her love him as she had never loved anyone else before.

Then, he left and she no longer felt beautiful. Actually, she felt nothing at all. She lost herself and nobody noticed, of course. To everyone else there was no difference between what they had seen before and what they saw now. Nobody saw the glazed look in her eyes or the way her smiles were forced. All anyone saw was the pretty, pretty blonde curls and the blue, blue eyes they had always seen no matter how dead those eyes just happened to appear.

When she ran into Teddy in Diagon Alley one day he, however, noticed right away. He couldn't believe what he saw. Had he really caused this once bright, vibrant woman to become this shadow that he saw before him? He would never have left her if he had known she would become like this. He had regretted leaving her everyday since anyway. After all, he had not left of his own choice. His job had forced him to cut all ties with everyone he knew for a few months while he did some undercover work for the Aurors. It hadn't been pleasant, he had hated everyday of it. Now that it was over he intended to make sure the old Victoire he knew so very well never disappeared again.

Suddenly, he was back in her life and she realized her beauty once again. And on their wedding day just a few short months later he promised to make her feel beautiful every single day for the rest of their lives.
