AN: Hi guys, King here. So I'm taking a stab at a MultiSaku, (I guess you could say that I'm new to this) and since I really like Sakura, I didn't wanna portray her as some kind of slut. So I've decided to make this a trilogy with different pairings in different times each chapter. :) I hope you guys like this (it's also kind of based on my high school life -which was really messed up- and my 2 and a half month summer romance with my best guy friend). So, I hope you guys like this little ficlet. For more details on the trilogy, go to my profile, it's at the very top of it.

Disclaimer: I can't draw to save anyone's life so obviously, I couldn't have made Naruto.

Prologue

The early summer sunset today was like a painting, with the pink and orange hues just the right shade. As the light faded, deep blue cracks of night peered through like an upside-down ocean, bottomless and cold.

Any other day, a sunset like this would've been beautiful. But nothing had been beautiful ever since her best friend decided that she needed to move on.

But it apparently requires reminiscing to gain closure. And that really sucks because in her opinion, she didn't need to. She was scared of loving again and she was scared of remembering love, not that she'd ever admit it.

Swinging lightly on her tire swing, she contemplates whether to tell her tales to her best friend. It wouldn't hurt to try, right?

After a moment of silence, she finally releases a sigh of resignation. Just this once.

She sighed. "It was supposed to be unending. That's what he told me."

At school, Sakura was rarely alone. And whenever she was, she would always feel like a million eyes were staring straight into her, like they could see everything passing through her brain. She hated that feeling, like she was vulnerable, and being vulnerable meant being prone to hurt. And she was scared of being hurt.

But unfortunately, she was alone today and she was feeling exactly that.

She knew she was being paranoid, but she ran anyways. She probably looked ridiculous but she was too focused on getting out of there to mind.

Once her feet felt like they were burning, she stopped.

Looking around her, she noticed that feet had led her to her favorite place in school: the greenhouse. And for the very first time that day, she grinned like a madman.

Walking inside the greenhouse, she closed her eyes, relishing the sweet smell of the flowers around her.

Unfortunately, her tranquility was abruptly put to an end by the sound of groans and coughing.

Curiously following the strange noises, she was surprised to see a blond man looking battered up and bloody.

With a furrowed brow, she angrily yelled, "Hey!" It was a stupid move, she knew, but she had to make them stop beating that poor guy up.

Surprisingly, the group of bullies immediately ran after hearing her voice.

Momentarily forgetting about the guy on the ground, she raises her brow in silent askance. Was her voice really that scary?

And again, a strangled cough broke her musings.

Cursing herself for her forgetfulness, she immediately ran to the wounded, now unconscious guy and began examining the extent of his injuries.

Deducing that the set of bandages and medicines in her handy first aid kit was enough to patch him up, she immediately set to work.

After a couple of minutes, she was already gathering her things and the bright looking kid was already coming to wakefulness. Upon seeing this, she stops momentarily and speaks.

"Hi."

Upon receiving no response other than blinking, she continued.

"Do you remember your name?" She asks with a gentle smile.

Thankfully, he managed to muster up the courage to talk this time.

"Ngangotu." He said incoherently.

"I don't really think that's your name…?" She said in a confused voice.

"Na-ru-to." He said a bit louder but still slowly.

"Great." She grinned, "I'm Sakura."
