I DO NOT OWN GHOST HUNT

Chapter Four

Rena's P.O.V

I walked into the café and spotted Kazuki at the back table were we usually sat. What wasn't usual was that Kayla was sitting with him; flirting like there would be no tomorrow. I walked up behind him and cover his eyes.

"Guess who?" I felt a hand on my wrist and yelped when I was pulled into his lap.

"The love of my life," he answered and smirked at me. "Oh, look at that, I was right," I sighed and scooted off his lap and onto the seat next to him.

"You're such a pervert, Kazuki," he winked at me as I sighed.

"Honestly, sometimes I find it hard to believe that you're such a powerful—he placed a hand on my mouth and gave me a coy smile.

"You want to see power?" he asked as he leaned forward. Well, it looked like Kazuki-kun wanted to play with fire. His hand slowly slide behind my neck and I looked up at him innocently though my eyelashes. His eyes widened, he cursed, and pulled back; I gave him a victory smile.

"That is power, Kazuki-kun," I told him as he shook his head degected.

"You are dangerous," I giggled and noticed that Kayla had left, this wasn't easy was it? I sighed.

"Well, I promised Naru that I'd be back soon, so what am I good for?" I asked he looked at me and I grimaced at the perverted look in his eyes.

"Pervert,"

"Not my fault, you gave my adolescent mind the opportunity to get the mental image," he said and I fake slammed my head into the table.

"Kazuki-kun, can you please, act your age not your hormones?" I begged and he scoffed ruffling my hair.

"Well I just came to tell you that those bastards dispatched someone from their headquarters, we're looking into who it is, but for now you're getting a bodyguard," he informed me I shot him a skeptical look.

"And how exactly is that laying low?" he sighed.

"You're lack of faith wounds me, Rena-sama," he told me. "My men are more than capable of keeping a low profile," I took a sip from the latte he'd ordered me.

"Let's walk so I can think about this,"

"There isn't anything to think about," he told me holding the door open for me.

"That may be so, but why waste your efforts on me?" I asked.

Finding Syaoran was much more important at the moment, he was my priority.

"What would be the point of finding one angel wing if the other's missing?" I looked up at him; we'd stopped walking. He pushed a piece of hair behind my ear and I hugged him.

"Thank you. For helping me find my brother, Syaoran," my eyes snapped open when he tensed and pushed me behind him.

This was not good.

Mai's P.O.V

Slowly, I poured honey into my peach tea, always aware that Lin-san was watching me. He did the same to his mint tea and took a sip looking at me over the rim.

"So where do you want to start?" he asked deciding to stall I took a sip of my own tea. It was a warm liquid that was soft and sweet as it flowed down my throat warming me.

"Start what?" I asked calmly watching the ripples that happened in my cup.

"We didn't come here to play naïve Mai, you know very well what I'm talking about," he told me.

I looked up and got caught in his fierce grey eyes. Those deep grey eyes that seemed to see past my games, could tell when I felt sad, happy, angry, worried. For some unknown reason my face began to feel warm when I felt myself being drawn towards him; as I wanted to lean into him, into his strong grey eyes. I looked down at my hands that were suddenly burning from the heat given off from the cup.

"I don't trust her," I blurted out that was supposed to stay between me and Syaoran! Mai don't just go saying things!

"Who don't you trust?" he asked me.

"Moto-san,"

My hands tightened around each other, what would he say? Would he call me a lair, or stupid, like Naru would. His hands covered mine and held them.

"Why?"

Not you're crazy, and not you're stupid, but why. Why the hell was I so nervous? My heart was beating a hundred miles an hour.

"Why," I pulled my hands away and gripped my jeans in my hand looking down. "Are you being so considerate?"

I'd been alone all my life, only recently had I had people worry about me and try to take care of me. Lin-san wasn't one of them; he was always stoic towards me. He was cold indifferent, at sometimes even rude and cruel. I could accept that one but this Lin, who was he? What the hell was I feeling?

"What do you mean why?" he asked me. "Because I want to,"

My eyes snapped up and as I met his gaze he smiled.

"If there's a problem with that, then let me hear it, what's so wrong with me being considerate?" yes what was the problem?

Naru's P.O.V

I skimmed my menu, I wasn't going to eat anything not really I mean I wasn't really hungry besides I wasn't interested in eating something that could potentially be distasteful (i.e. Naru's a picky eater, that should seem obvious right?).

"Umm, I don't know what to get," Moto-san told me.

"Get anything you want," I said looking over the different kinds of tea, black tea would be fine.

"I don't recognize anything on the menu," she admitted.

I picked it up again it was standard Japanese nothing fogorine. I looked up at her brown hair green eyes.

"What is your name?" I asked putting the menu down, I motioned for the waitress to come.

"Two black teas," she nodded and left. "You're not Japanese are you?"

"My name is Arica Moto," she snapped and looked down. "And I am Japanese, the thing is," she smiled a little and I found myself shocked, she had a very pretty smile. "My mom was Italian, I don't really know anything about this, only through my friends do I know about it, but that was a long time ago," I sighed so much for smiling.

"Why did you leave your family, don't you have any one left to go to?" I asked.

"Because they would hurt them, make them suffer, I had to. It's oklay if they follow me but I could never put my brother in that situation," she whispered.

"Their Spirits,"

"They feel too, labeling them like, it's wrong!" I was shocked by her outburst. "Gomen," I sighed as the waitress brought our tea.

"Tell you what how about we finish our tea and I'll take you to an Italian restaurant that I sometimes go to," I told her she looked up hopeful and smiled again.

"I'd like that, thank you,"

I didn't know why Rena didn't trust her; she just had no one. Rena didn't understand her, there was nothing wrong with being alone, I should know.

Kazuki's P.O.V

A man with blond hair walked forward he'd been too close for comfort and had most likely heard our conversation, I pulled Rena behind me holding her there.

"Can I help you?" I asked as he stopped in front of us.

"Rena, what the hell are you doing?" he demanded.

"Bou-san?" she poked her head out from behind me.

"What brother?" he demanded

I was shocked he'd heard more than I'd expected he reached behind me and pulled her out.

"Let go!" Rena snapped.

I reached out and curled my hand around his wrist.

"She said let go," my voice was low as I slightly increased the pressure on his hand.

"Kazuki stop," she met my gaze and I sighed letting go. I watched as he led her away with two other people all the while glaring daggers at his back.

"Len it's your job," he approached me. "Take care of her and don't let her leave your sight,"

"I understand," he walked away.

Well I'd leave it in his capable hands; I just hoped that Rena wouldn't react too violently.

Rena's P.O.V

Bou-san dragged me away. I was right, this was not good, how much did they know? I stumbled into his back as he suddenly stopped.

"Ojou-sama, what happened to your brother Syaoran?" Yasu asked, well that was great so they'd heard that part.

"I'll tell you because it doesn't look like I have much of a choice, Syaoran is my twin brother and he was kidnapped in Japan, who you saw is Niwa Kazuki, he's helping me find him," I said watching their expressions.

"Why hasn't Naru told us anything?" Bou-san demanded I looked down.

"Because Naru and Koujo think that he's dead," I whispered. "But it's not true! I would know if he were dead, he's my twin!"

"You should tell Naru," John told me I shook my head.

"No. They wouldn't believe me anyway," I told them.

"If you don't tell them, then we will, it's for your own good," Bou-san said.

I curled my hand into fists. How could they? I'd trusted them enough to tell them, they should realize that this was difficult for me and they still insisted on betraying me?

"If you do I'll never forgive you," my voice was low and I didn't recognize the cold tone in it. "You have no right to try and manipulate my life you have no idea what I've been through, baka!"

I turned on my heels and ran away, I couldn't believe that I'd just told them that. Who was I kidding? I'd probably end up there away. No. I didn't want to go back there. Images of white rooms flooded my mind. I was vaugly aware of bumping into someone as I fell back.

"Hey watch where you're going," I looked up at a guy with blue hair and golden eyes.

"I'm sorry," I mumbled.

"Hey, don't cry I didn't mean to yell at you," I saw him he was trying to calm me down; I hadn't noticed that I'd started crying. "You're not hurt are you?" I couldn't stop the tears.

"I'm fine," I said voice thick he sighed.

"No. You're not," he helped me up.

"I am," I told him whipping my eyes. He sighed again and handed me a handkerchief. "Thank you,"

"I'm Kawasaki Len, and you?" he asked.

"Lin Rena," I said whipping my eyes.

"If you're not hurt then why are you crying?" I looked down.

This was getting interesting I looked at my watch.

"I'm sorry but I have to go, bye," I called and once again took off.

Gezz today was just not my day. I was halfway back to the office; did I really want to go there? If I did then it would be easier for them to get me, if I want back to the apartment it would be the same. But I just couldn't leave my violin. I sighed, I'd go back to the apartment pack a bag stash it in the closest and if push came to shove I'd go find Kazuki, I didn't have much of a choice anyway.

Bou-san's P.O.V

I sighed again and I felt a stack of papers hit my head.

"What is it Yasu?" I asked this was not fun we had no idea what to do.

"This is complicated isn't it?" I nodded.

"I think that we should keep quiet," John said. "She's right we don't know and it would be cruel of us to do as we please, it's not our life,"

"That's what I was think but if she gets hurt?" I demanded.

"Well we could always make a deal, we'll keep quiet as long as she keeps us informed it sounds like a good idea," Yasu said.

"One problem though," I told them.

"What's that?"

"She's really mad at us right now I don't think that she'll listen if we try talking to her," I explained.

"We could always ask Naru for help," John said.

"And how are we going to do that?" I demanded.

"No one knows her better than he does, we'll just ask him what makes her most forgiving, and then we'll work from there," Yasu said I thought about it for a moment.

"Sounds like a plan,"

I could only hope that she wouldn't hate us for this, we didn't really mean any harm.
