Rena: you seem unusually happy for some reason; why?

(coy smile) Oh you'll see, Rena-chan

Rena: (sweat drops)

Gene: she used 'chan' at the end of your name, I think I'm going to hang out with Kazuki (inching away)

Rena: (grabs) where do you think you're going Gene? You have to stay and enjoy the show (paranoid voice)

Gene: please let me go!

Rena and Gene: (struggling)

What's up with them? Anyway onto the story!

Voice from above: this chapter is shorter then usual

Chapter Seven

Naru's P.O.V

"I'm home," I said entering the apartment.

"Hello Naru," Moto-san called she was cooking and gave me a kind smile. She'd been doing fine, she was smiling more.

"Hello Moto-san," I looked around and found GD seating on the couch. "Where's Rena?"

"She's not in her room?" Moto-san asked turning the stove off. I walked towards Rena's room and opened the door, she wasn't in here. I opened the balcony but she wasn't there either.

"It's such a pretty view!" Moto-san exclaimed looking out with a wide smile. "I wish I could see it more often,"

"Well it wouldn't be harmful if we stayed here for a while," I told her she grinned at me and then looked down blushing.

"What is it?" I asked she began to twist her hands.

"Well I," she looked up and then down. She took a deep breath and started to lean in. I was going to stop her but I spotted Rena in the doorway. What was with that look?

Rena's P.O.V

I saw Naru look at me. What was I doing? I curled my hands into fists. I had every right to be jealous, I-

"If you do that on my balcony you'll traumatize me," I said pulling Moto-san away.

"Hey what are you doing?" she demanded I didn't know what to do so I pulled her towards the door and pushed her out of my room.

"Stay out!" I snapped and locked the door. That's right I could just go lock the balcony and stay in a corner for the rest of my life. That's right, that's what I'd do. I turned around and jumped back hitting the door. It was Noll! I casted my eyes down.

"Rena why did you do that?" he asked moving closer to me.

"I told you—

"And I don't believe you," my head snapped up and I felt a blush creep on my cheeks.

"How did we end up like this?" I asked this time he looked away.

It was true; but how could we have stayed together? He had Gene and I had Syaoran. But that was then, and this is now. My hand found his and he looked back tightening his grip.

"I don't know," he admitted I smirked.

"And here I was think that at least you'd have a grasp on this situation, Homes," he leaned further towards me pressing me against the wall.

"But, Watson, aren't you the expert in tact?"

I was going to point out that, that had nothing to do with it but my lips were suddenly busy. My eyes widened for a moment I relaxed and placed an arm around his neck. It was like coming home. I watched him through parted lids, honey, lemon, and cinnamon, how fitting.

Lin's P.O.V

I was driving Mai to her house.

"How is Rena doing so far?" I asked her. Mai sighed and put her hands in her hair.

"Don't even remind me," she said shaking her head. Good lord what had that girl done?

"What did she do?" all the possible situations ran through my head, after the motorcycle incident anything was possible.

"Nothing, nothing! Don't worry she didn't do anything," she assured me. "It's the guys,"

I frowned she'd always attracted attention but it was never anything that we couldn't handle.

"Is it that bad?' she gave me a look of disbelief.

"How can you ask something like that?" she demanded. "Of course it is! She can't get ride of them and I can't either, it's irritating!"

I was a little taken aback by her sudden outburst. Last time I checked Rena didn't attract that much attention. I shook my head it must have been a girl thing. A thought struck me. It would be a waste of imagination to not tease Mai with it.

"You're not jealous are you?" she looked at me as if I'd lost my mind.

"Are you insane?" she asked smacking my arm.

"Hey I'm driving, do you want us to crash?" I barely managed to avoid a pencil she threw.

"How can you even say that?" I pressed my lips tightly together trying really hard not to laugh. "And now you're going to laugh about?"

I lost it. I had to pull over as I started to laugh. I saw her raise her hand again and then put it down. Once I'd calmed down she looked at me.

"Are you done?" she seemed calm.

"Yes,"

"Good, now drive,"

"Yes, ma'am,"

"Lin,"

"Yes?"

"Next time I reserve the right to hit you,"

"Of course,"

Like that would happen. Mai was just to fun to tease. Like afterwards she had that angry blush, like now. I watched her fumble with her hands as she muttered insults under her breath.

"If you're going to say something say it out loud," I told her she blushed looked at me then muttered something else under her breath. That was getting annoying.

"What's with the teasing?" she asked I smirked.

"You're fun to tease, you get mad easily," I told her.

"And that's fun?"

"To me it is," I said she looked at me and then away.

"I can't get mad at you if you look at me like that," she said I raised an eyebrow, I had a look?

"Well you won't have to deal with much longer because we're here," I told her she looked up.

"What do you know, you're right," was it just me or was she a little reluctant to leave?

"Thank you for the ride," she said giving me a sweet smile.

I shook my head as she walked into her apartment. I was getting to used to driving her. It was slightly eerie how things had changed a few months ago I wouldn't even give her a second glance and now it was finding every opportunity to tease her if I didn't know any better I would say to some extent I was flirting to her. I laughed, what a funny thought. I was spending too much time with Yasuhara.

Syaoran's P.O.V

I was surrounded in a darkness that left me breathless. I hugged my knees to my chest. The darkness felt like it was going to swallow me. My hands curled in my hair. Since when was the dark loud?

Then again I had no one to blame but myself for this. Rena would probably get real angry at me. Rena. I wanted to cry but someone how I found it impossible to have such a human emotion in a place like this.

I felt a hand on my head and looked up hoping that it was Rena.

"Are you okay, Syaoran?"

For a wild second I confused Mai for a younger version of Rena. I looked around, it was the meadow.

"But how?" I wondered aloud.

"I don't really know I felt really scared all of a sudden and then I find you curled up here. Is something wrong?" she asked.

"Mai," she looked at me confused by my tone of voice. "I'm really scared of the dark,"

I found her hugging me and let my head rest against her chest. How warm.

So that was it, Mai was keeping this place alive for me, what a sweet girl.

Author's Note: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! God I've been wanting to do that for aaagggeeess! (i.e. Rena's P.O.V)

Rena: (in shock)

Aww, you're blushing!

Rena: (still in shock)

Gene how long do you think she'll stay like that? (turns to Gene)

Gene: (also in shock)

Not you too Gene! I mean come you'd have to be blind deaf and dumb to not see that one coming!

Gene and Rena: (Still in shock)

(sigh) Well I suppose it will take them a while to get a hold of themselves, anyway next chapter revelations!
