Do i love her?
James Potter just got hexed by the famous Lily Evans for the 6th time that day. Sirius Black, his best mate, told him "Just give up Prongs."
"I cant Padfoot! I cant rest til she is mine!"
"Dont say i didn't warn you. This will end up bad mate."
With that being said, James left the Great Hall. He grabbed his broom from his dorm in the Gryffindor Tower and headed out to the Quidditch Pitch. He somehow always finds comfort flying. Once he was up in the air he took a good amount of time thinking. Thinking of Lily Evans.
"Do i love her? Yeah i do. But im starting to have second thoughts. I mean, why can't i just stop asking her out! Ive been doing this since 2nd year for merlin's pants! I have a gut feeling that we will never happen. Its too complex. Me and Evans are two complete polar opposites! She is a bloody two-shoes and i am a bloody rule breaker! She loves books and when i even look at one i feel like a headache is coming on! How can we happen? We just can't. I mean, i can get any girl in school. But no, that is Sirius personality, Who i want is Lily Evans. I don't care if we are opposites. Nothing matters as long as love prevails. Wow, that was out of character. But anyway, im not resting until she agrees to go out with me. Padfoot's choice isn't my choice. But watch i WILL get Lily Evans. No matter what it takes. So do i love her? You bloody know well i do. And i am not resting til she falls for me."
After what seemed like 2 hours. James got off his broom and headed out to the common room for a shower. "Ahhhh... Showers are nice." James said as he got out of the bathroom.
James then went to the Great Hall to see Lily Evans and apologize. James automatically saw Lily in the Gryffindor table. She isn't that hard to spot with her flaming red hair. James practically ran to Lily to apologize.
"Hey Evans. I need a w-"
"I don't want to hear it Potter." She said cutting him off icily.
"Im not asking you out okay. I came here to apologize. Apologize for asking you out all the bloody time. Apologize for causing you problems. Apologize why you never got a boyfriend because of me. I know that you probably don't want to hear this but i still love you, Lily. I will never stop loving you. Cant we at least just be friends? Im not gonna ask you out anymore. Im not gonna give you problems. I will respect your choice of men. Well Except Padfoot."
Lily laughed at this one. She never thought Potter had a sensitive side.
"But the bottom line, lily, is i love you and i will do anything to make you happy? Can we at least be friends?"
"Yes James. We can be friends, and i forgive you for all the troubles youve caused me. I never really thought you had a sensitive side." Lily replied sincerely
"Then youve got a lot to know about me" James laughed.
With that, James felt that this would end up great.
