Chapter 5: The Wrong and the Right

Arthur was too stunned to move, to even to look to see if Morgana was experiencing the same thing. The only thing he could focus on was his father, the King. He looked red with outrage.

"Arthur. I'm going to ask you once, and it must be the truth. What are you doing here?" The King asked very calmly, even for him. Arthur had to think, he couldn't risk the health of his manservant.

"I was just seeing if Gaius was in. I came with Morgana because she wanted me to come with her to get some sleeping draughts." Arthur said, standing up tall to make it look even more truthful.

"GUARDS!" Uther bellowed and within ten moments, two guards marched into the room, awaiting their orders. "Take the servant from that room to Prince Stephen. Give the order to the Prince that that servant must stay there. That includes sleeping and he must have a guard on him at all times. My son will not be allowed to see this idiotic person until Prince Stephen's stay has passed." Uther bellowed. He then turned to Arthur and Morgana.

"How dare you lie to me. You are lucky I haven't sentenced your servant to be flogged." Uther spat.

"I lied for you because you are wrong to make him work for that Prince! I done what I thought was right because look at him Father! Look at Merlin!" Arthur paused so his father could look at the pale, beat up servant that was being dragged down the stairs. "That Prince hurt him!"

"I told him to do as he must to that servant. For all we know, he could have fallen or have been clumsy like how you describe him to me." Uther spat.

"Yes he is clumsy! But he is the most loyal, most trusting friend I have ever came to know! I have a right to stand up for him, the amount of times he has stood up for me!" Arthur cried.

Uther glared at his son, before turning to look at the guards.

"Lock my son up in a cell please. He will learn not to back answer me." He said as calmly as he could.

"Father!" Arthur shrieked.

"Until you learn, you will be locked up in the dungeons. Take his sword. Under no circumstances will he be allowed out." He spat before walking out. "Morgana, come with me!"

"Merlin I'm sorry!" The Prince of Camelot yelled. He didn't get a chance to hear Merlin's reply as he was dragged out of the room and down the opposite corridor to Merlin. Gods, he hoped Merlin would be alright.

Gaius was walking back from his rounds. He had finally finished, even though it was noon. As he wandered through the corridors of the white-stoned castle, he caught a glimpse of something tall and familiar.

Merlin.

"Merlin, my boy! Where are you going?" He asked, eyeing the guards as they passed with the boy struggling in the guards' arms.

"Kings orders!" The guards said.

"Ignorant Twit!" Merlin shouted.

Morgana followed the King of Camelot through the corridors of Camelot Castle. She wasn't bothered what the King said to her, it didn't matter to her anymore. She had learned not to listen. He didn't care about anything anymore.

When they neared the throne room, the guards on the door hastily opened the doors for the King, bowing at the same time. Once Uther and his Ward were inside, they shut the double wooden doors to keep their talk in privacy.

Uther strode forward, leaving Morgana standing, not wanting to get too close. She stood there leaning on one of the pillars in the room, gazing into one of the high windows. The heavy boots told her to look the way they were walking, but she didn't, she knew far too well that the King was pacing.

"How can my own son disobey me?"

"He's done it before." Morgana stated.

"For the sake of a servant? I swear if that's true…"

"No! Not for Merlin! For the sake of doing what was right, and not wrong. He's learning Sire, leave him to it."

"And let his heart become too warm with all that care he is giving to everyone? He's doing the wrong thing!" Uther shouted.

"It may look like he's doing the wrong thing, but the people who live in this city respect him and do not fear him-…" Morgana started.

"Are you suggesting that I fear my own people?" The King laughed in pure disbelief.

"No of course not, they respect you for what they believe in." Morgana said firmly, even though that wasn't true. "You are a fair King, as you tell them, and they look up to you and Arthur to keep this Kingdom safe from enemies and sorcerers that may want to stop by and decide to attack us." Morgana said.

"Arthur is only doing what he seems right to be a King. As I said, he is learning." Morgana stated, Uther turned his slightly to show he was still listening, but Morgana was finished. "Of course you locked him up for a good enough reason. May I go, my Lord?"

"Go, and dine with me tonight." Uther snapped.

"Yes, my King." Morgana curtsied, before turning and leaving.

When Merlin reached the door's of Ignorant Twit's room, he was extremely nervous. One of the guards knocked on the door before entering and dragging him in.

"Ah, servant. I thought you were contagious with a virus. Looks like that was a lie." Stephen squared his shoulders and stood bold. "Leave, and do not come back." He said the guards who merely bowed and left, shutting the door after them.

"Maybe I should go and warn your Guardian not to lie to Royalty." The Prince of the North East smirked. Merlin stepped in front of the door and growled.

"No you will not." He hissed.

"You can't tell a Noble what to do." Ignorant Twit laughed, marching forward to throttle the young boy.

Merlin gasped and choked for air, every moment, his lips turning a shade of blue. His magic called desperately, wanting to help ,to come to his aid, but he didn't allow it.

But his magic said other wise.

His magic was beginning to get out of control, and he was struggling to keep it within him. Then without expecting anything, his vision swarmed with gold fire and a gust of wind sent from his chest, slammed into the Prince knocking him back onto his bed. The Nobleman grunted and looked up, before smirking.

"So he really is here, hiding in Camelot's walls." Stephen laughed.

"Who-Who are you talking about?" Merlin gasped, trying to keep his magic in.

"Hello Emrys." Prince Stephen snarled.

"Seriously, what do you want?" Merlin snapped. "How do you know me?"

"Met a few people, heard a few tales." The Prince snarled. "My plan is easily slotting into place. For now, it is done."

"What plan? Who are you? Your not a Prince. I can feel something inside you." Merlin said, wearily.

"How dare you question my authority!" Stephen snarled.

"You Ignorant Twit." Merlin snapped. The 'Princes' face reddened. Merlin now knew he was in deep trouble.

"Onsendan Merlin and Arthur tṓ Norþ Ḗast castel!" The Prince chanted.

Before Merlin had a chance to fight, the young manservants' world went black.

Arthur sat in the dungeon cell…bored. He had no Merlin, no work and no training to do. A Guard was posted outside his cell until end of shift, which was in a few hours.

The Young Prince wondered what was happening to Merlin. He was extremely worried, even though he hated admitting his feelings, he had to for the sake of his friend that he had almost lost, and will probably lose in the future.

No. He wouldn't think like that. Merlin has been through a bloody dragon and was able to turn out okay without even a scratch.

So why was he failing now? What was stopping him from being okay- no. He was okay. He always turned out okay, no matter how disturbing or serious the situation may be.

It was then, his whole body began to feel light, his mind dizzy. He felt tired, like he had read too many books. The Prince of Camelot felt heavy, and seemed unable to concentrate on one thing. Everything began to blur, and his vision faded into oblivion.

Hey, here is chapter 5, is it? It must be! This chapter may be a bit boring…. I'm very sorry, but I swear I will be making it up in the next few chapters. Especially with this medieval torture I have found which sounds very interesting, but I just can't wait to put it to use!

Thanks to Lenore for suggesting another name instead of 'Prince Twat'.

Does anyone want to do a bit of research? On Medieval Torture? On the one I have chosen? I bet you do! Okay this is the medieval torture I have chosen for now… it's only the beginning.

Flaying Torture.

Thanks! And maybe the next chapter will be up tomorrow, but definatley Monday, if that!"
