CHAPTER TWO: TWIST OF FATE

"A story to me means a plot where there is some surprise. Because that is how life is - full of surprises."

~.~.~

The ride to the airplane and from the airplane to New York was depressing for Beck, many people would walk up to him asking if he were okay due to the plastered expressionless face. Beck, to every person who asked, insisted he was fine each time when in reality that was a lie. Biggest lie Beck has ever told and the first secret Beck had ever kept from people.

Once reaching New York, the land of Broadway, Yankees, and of course the land that never sleeps. The land was as crowded as it looked in pictures and brochures especially when you've entered New York City also known as The Big Apple.

"Hello New York..." The Aladdin-look alike muttered once stepping foot on the new state's ground. He put out his hand as if he were trying to grab someone, though in reality he was just grabbing air, something which looked odd to others. Upon realizing that there was nobody beside him, Beck immediately put his hand back into his pocket. Without Jade behind him, his hands couldn't leave his pockets. There was nobody's waist to hold. Nobody beside him. Nobody his hands could crawl on.

The male went to go pick up his luggage and was greeted by a driver holding a large board reading his name: Beck Oliver. The man must have been from Tina Dey, the movie producer of the movie he is doing. He sighed and walked to the man who ran up to him.

"Beck Oliver, sir?" He asked, robotically as if he were reading straight from a script. The young man nodded to his new driver and the driver picked up Beck's belongings and headed straight to the limousine that was awaiting the two's appearance.

Beck took the door handle in his hands and opened it, only to be greeted by his driver again. "Oh, I'm so sorry, sir! Please sit..." Beck had to admit, having a driver was cool, but it was also something he'd need to get used to. He didn't need a driver since he was capable of doing everything on his own like he's done in the past. But, hey...when life gives you lemons, what do you do? Make lemonade.

After putting away the luggage and belongings, the driver ran into the driver's seat where he began driving off to what Beck assumed the meeting spot for the movie where he was meeting the cast of his new movie. He was excited, but not excited. He was not excited because, he just missed Jade and all he wanted was his girlfriend to be with him. For the few days, when the two broke up, Beck felt like he hit ground bottom. Jade had given Beck a whole new life. And, this life couldn't be called one without the one who made him.

The whole car ride to the building, Beck sat in silence, calling Jade. Jade wasn't able to pick up his phone since she was on a plane and most likely Cat is playing some game on Jade's phone. Cat describes Jade's phone as: Creepy, but very exciting. With games only relating to blood, Cat enjoys them, something which the group is still adjusting to in terms of believing.

"Sir, you are here." The driver said, once opening the door. Beck smiled to his driver before leaving the car.

"Uh...what about my stuff?" Beck asked casually, as if he were speaking to a classmate rather than an adult.

"I'll bring it to your room." The driver said with a slight bow before walking away.

"My room? I have a room...?"

With a slight chuckle, his driver nodded. "Of course, Mrs. Dey bought you a hotel room. A fine one, that is. You probably won't be staying here in New York for very long." Beck looked confused, but nodded. Though a smirk appeared on his face, he just realized his driver had a British accent. Something which amused him and of course something that brought back memories of when he had to do the method acting in which he played a British man who invaded people's spaces. Adding a laugh, Beck walked into the building which was titled: Day and Night Productions NY!

"Here we go..." The actor muttered when going into the large building.

Jade wished she were on her plane to Florida, the beautiful land of hot, hot, and HOT! It was something Jade would love especially when reaching the state since she wouldn't be stuck in a stupid RV because of another stupid RV that trapped them all inside and then Cat who decided flirting with other boys was better than helping her friends out of a RV. With the thought of the RV, Jade groaned. This day wasn't going as well as it should have.

The plane had to take a sudden stop due to mechanical reasons. So they stopped in Texas in which everyone on the previous flight from LA to Florida would get free admission from Texas to Florida. When awaiting for the plane, Jade couldn't help but complain of all the time that was being wasted.

"Texas is stupid." Jade commented earning a frown from the girl beside her.

"Why?" Cat said in her cute, yet sad voice.

"Because Beck's not here. Beck's not from here. And, just play your stupid game." The female said before rolling her eyes and went back to groaning and moaning.

"Awwwww! Someone misses Beck! Teehee." Cat exclaimed with a squeal of excitement. Catching Jade in admitting her love for Beck was something Cat found fun even though Jade constantly showed how much she loved Beck.

"Yeah, I do. I can't talk to him because some redhead has my phone..." Jade reminded before crossing her arms.

Her anger was way worse when she was PMSing because there was no Beck to calm her down and Cat's cuteness could help for so long before Jade barked at her. Plus, the fact that Jade is in her new hated state, Texas, did not make her too happy. She would rather be in Miami, Florida relaxing and doing what she loves most. Singing and acting. At an airport, that was impossible to do. Unless of course, out of no where Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato come since the two originally are from Texas.

"Beck..." She muttered with a frown. Every time Beck's name popped in her head, memories of when the two were together in California would constantly appear. Whether those moments be when Beck and her were doing their Relationship Advice, which never worked out in the end because they'd end up fighting or something would happen which the video could not be completed.

Such good memories were soon to fade with the distance between the two. Adding a sigh with the thought of their distance, she shook her head and looked at her black boots. They reminded her of Beck's brown combat boots which he wore with almost everything...

"These are going to be some long days..."

Upon entering the large building which was way more crowded than the actor imagined it to be, there was at least hundred people in the conference room. His entrance was glanced at by some people, but none of them did anything. Standing in a few seconds of awkwardness, he was finally noticed by a lady who looked like she was in her early forties. She had large glasses over her beautiful green eyes. Slim with only a few wrinkles on her face, for a woman her age, she was beautiful. "Beck!" She greeted with open arms.

Beck looked confused when approaching the woman who hugged him once he was close enough. "Uh...Mrs. Dey?" He figured and earned a "Mhmm." from the lady who was embracing him. When in the hug, Beck looked at the other people in the room. He was out of place, being dressed in a plaid shirt and jeans compared to a man with a nice button up shirt and dress pants.

"I'm so glad you made it! Welcome to the cast and crew of 'Force'! Or well the cast who have arrived, there is still more to come! That other person being your co-protagonist!" The producer exclaimed with a small squeal. Beck put up a smile, to hide his awkwardness and the frown that would have appeared. Her squeal reminded him of Cat's squeal, so optimistic and excited.

"I think you'll like your co-star!" The lady continued as Beck nodded to everything she said. "Well, come on! Let me show you...your cast!" Beck followed Tina as she began introducing him to the fellow producers, the lighting man, the director, and other crew and cast mates.

He began to break out of his shell as he talked to more and more people, but there was one thing irking him. He never figured out who his female lead was. Mrs. Dey decided to keep it a surprise and she seemed really excited about it from what the actor could tell. "Who...is she?" He muttered once getting a cup of Pepsi from the bartender.

Suddenly, a squeal calling for the male's name flew throughout the room. Beck put down his drink immediately and ran towards the sound, since the area was so big and crowded, he had to figure out where the lady aka his producer was. Finally reaching her, he saw someone...

"Holy crap..."

His eyes were like a deer in the headlights, he couldn't believe it. He was shocked, astonished, flabbergasted, his co-star in this extremely romantic role would be...Tori Vega!

A/N: What do you guys think? Does it make up for my late update? Hehe, tell, tell, tell!

CALLOUTS!

Love-Believer-16 – Thank you! :) Mucho appreciatoooo!

call me what you want – Om Shanti Om, right? Yes! The movie was fantastic...I never cried, but I definitely enjoyed the ending where Om is like...reminding Arjun of everything that happened! LMAO! It was just godly amazing.

Bluestar4ever - I hope you enjoyed! :)

ziver911 – Haha! I would never leave out Jade...! ESPECIALLY if Beck is there. It's like they have to be together (Just watch, there will be chapters where there is no Beck, but there is Jade or there is Beck, but no Jade). Buttttttt, I wonder how Tori and Beck will be like...you know ;) Well there is MUCH more to come!

KendraincupcakesG – Super long in a gooood way or a baadddd way? Though, I'm glad you lovedddd itt!

Rosalie Carlisle Cullen – HAHA!(: For reeelzzz? That's funny, but sweet:) I'm glad...I made you cry!

blueSKIES247 – That plot you said shall be determined as the story goes on! :) As for the suggestion, thank you for the suggestion! I'll keep that in mind! Thanks! (:

Jeremy Shane – Thanks!:D

teddybaer – I'm superrrr glad that you like this story! :) Hehe, well I LOVE THOSE MOMENTS so I'm definitely going to add those! Plus, they really relate to what I'm saying and give me ideas and inspirations on what to write since I'll have a memory from what happened in the show. Ha! That chapter was a bonus, there was A LOT to put into that one chapter. Though, honestly...I'm lazy, therefore some chapters may be long and some not. It depends on how much I want to add into that one chapter because I don't want the story to be short with only a few chapters, but I don't want to make it reaaaallly long with a bunch of chapters.

I'll try to make the chapters long! Out of curiosity, how was this length? This is my usual length? Maybe a little shorter than usual.

It's fine! I like long reviews, I believe we have spoken about this in our chains of PM's ;)
