Chapter 6: Disappear
Hey Guys, did you do your research? Yes, even if you didn't, I have decided that will be one of the last things for Merlin to experience. I have figured, I'll just work up to that So for now, yes we will continue with the whump, but it will be hard and you have to bear with me. Thank you! All help and ideas will be taken, credit will be given.
Again, I'm changing the name of Ignorant Twit back to his old name, partly because someone said he didn't really suit it. (yes that's you, my friend!)
ARTHUR
When Arthur woke up, he was greeted by a very cold and a very damp floor. He grunted, what on earth had happened to him? He was in Camelot's dungeons, and no way was this Camelot's dungeons. The walls were grey, and there were no windows. The hay was soggy from a dripping whole in the ceiling. These cells were horrible, even for the must unkindest of Kings.
A soft moan, caught his attention opposite him. The Crown Prince of Camelot averted his eyes to a slumped figure in the corner of the room. In his sleep, he looked frightened, hurt, upset. His skin was unnaturally pale, even for him, and he was skinnier than what he should have been. Had he even been eating since he worked for Prince Twat?
"Merlin?" His dry, raspy voice sounded. He needed a drink, and he was sure that he wouldn't get one wherever he was. Why was Merlin here? Why was he here? So many questions!
Those pale-blue eyes blinked open. They looked hazy and unfocused. His manservant's body racked in shivers. It was cold in here, but to Arthur it was bearable. He had a stronger build than Merlin, who was, well, as said before, skinny.
"Ar-Arthur?" Merlin whispered. That was all what the Future King of Albion needed to crawl over his his servants body.
"Yes, I'm here." Arthur called out. He then noticed that the boy's most beloved neckerchief was missing…replaced by a black and blue bruise, in the shape of hands.
"Oh, Merlin." Arthur sighed.
"Don't trust…Prince…Stephen." Merlin murmured.
"Sh, I already don't." Prince Arthur said, reaching over to cradle Merlin in his arms. He looked like he needed comforting right now.
MERLIN
It seemed like hours before a door opened. Merlin trembled and scooted backwards towards the far wall. He could hear Arthur growling when the familiar face of Stephen stepped through the bars, into the cell.
"It's quite cosy in here. Chilly, but cosy." He smirked.
"Where are we?" Arthur said sternly.
"Your in my castle, in the land of the North East, Farcia. You're a long way from Camelot now. Aren't you Emrys?" Stephen chortled as he strode over and kicked Merlin in the ribs.
"Why are you calling him Emrys?" Arthur asked. "His name is Merlin!"
Stephen laughed out loudly. He looked at Merlin, who had paled even more, and then looked across to the confused Prince, who was trying to stand up.
"Has your servant not even told you? Has he not trusted you? He's lied to you from the very first day he started working for you. Since he entered Camelot, in fact!" Stephen bellowed. Merlin couldn't be bothered with anything anymore. His whole world was turning upside down.
"Well that can't be true, because Merlin is the worst liar ever." Merlin smirked, he knew that was true.
"Well, obviously, that is an act." Stephen muttered. "Come on then precious Merlin, tell him who you are, what you can do, why the druids call you Emrys."
"Go away." Merlin muttered, obviously not in the mood to talk.
Stephen's face went red with anger. Arthur could see that, and he knew what ever he was planning in his pea brain, it wasn't going to be good.
"Get up." He snarled, picking Merlin up by his neck, squeezing it tightly. It hurt Merlin so much be picked up like that. He winced but he was too stubborn to cry out.
"Leave him alone!" Arthur screamed.
"Don't talk to me like that!" Prince Twat snarled. "I'll teach you both how to respect me, how to respect a prince."
"You're not a Prince." Merlin snapped. "A Prince is loyal to his people and does not harm them in any way. A Prince has dignity, has pride."
"And has your precious Prince harmed you? Of course he has!" Stephen muttered, shaking the boys body.
"So? He's my friend. I trust him, and I hope he trusts me. If he has harmed me, I have forgiven him every time. Arthur treats me like an equal, and not many Prince's do that."
"Hopes he trusts you? Hm. Let's see about that." The Dangerous Prince snaked his left arm around the boys thin frame, pulling him into a tight embrace, but it wasn't an embrace. It was to stop him from getting away. Something metal touched his Adam's Apple. It was sharp and cold.
"Confess, tell him who you are. Let's see if he trusts you." Merlin shook his head fearfully, the blade cutting into his flesh slightly,
"Go on, TELL HIM!" The man roared.
"Merlin tell me. Whatever it is, it can't be bad." Arthur encouraged.
"That's the thing thought. It'd not bad-.." Merlin started.
"Good, then tell me. Can't be that bad." Arthur smirked from his position on the floor.
"It's worse."
"Just tell me Merlin."
"I have…I have…" Merlin winced as the blade pressed in deeper.
"Tell him Merlin, go on." Prince Twat sneered.
"I HAVE MAGIC!" Merlin screamed.
UTHER
"Where is he?" The King of Camelot demanded, resisting the urge to pin the guard up on the bars of the cell.
"I don't know, my lord! He never passed us, and there is about ten of us on duty at one time! He was never seen and no one has lost a key! The gate is still locked. He's just vanished!" The Guard trembled.
"I want my son found. Put Guards on duty and tell the Knights. Patrol times will be doubled to six hours, and three parties must be patrolling at all times. I want Patrols to be organised for four times a day. Just find my son!" Uther snarled, muttering to himself as he left the dungeons.
"Has your serving boy returned yet?" The King asked his physician. As he paced about his advisors chambers.
"I haven't seen him, sire, not since I left to do my rounds earlier today." Gaius informed Uther. "Is there anything I need to do for you sire?"
"No, sorry to trouble you Gaius. I bid you farewell." The King said, before striding out of the room, leaving the old man confused to why the other man would ask such a thing.
Unless Merlin had got into trouble again.
Uther strode through the west side of the castle, his mind racing. He hadn't seen that bumbling servant anywhere doing his tasks so obviously something was up. Once he reached The Visiting Princes' chambers, be knocked on the door before entering.
There was no sign of a servant, or a Prince anywhere. It didn't bother him though, they were probably out walking the grounds, or hunting like what Arthur usually does. With that singular thought, he strode from the room, content that the Visiting Prince had nothing to do with this.
There we are guys, chapter 6. Yes it's a bit shorter, and they might get a little shorter along the way, but that's just so I can get a very big one in when the serious whumps start to happen, these are just time fillers for now.
Thanks to LunaShadowWolf13. Thank you for helping on this Chapter. You really helped!
