Race Against Time
Hands fisted, Tōshirō bangs on the door to his apartment. In all his haste, he had dropped his keys somewhere in the streets and hadn't realized it until he was inside the building.
"Karin, it's me. Open up."
Silence.
"I was an idiot. I should have listened to you."
Silence.
"I should have trusted you."
Silence.
"I wasn't thinking straight," he desperately explains. "It was a mistake sending you those papers."
Silence.
Sighing, he stops and slides to the floor. With his head in his hands, he solemnly wonders if he's too late.
"Please, Karin…" he begs. "Let me in…"
