Chapter 4 has arrived! Time for more review reponses.
OmniIBIBUltraInstinctGodzilla: I thought it was fun as well, and am glad you liked how Justin got booted. Anne Maria can indeed do better than our model (and nobody else misses him). Max saw more potential in Beardo and wanted to keep the human soundboard around.
Rockin' D-99: The third chapter has now been edited to include more contestant interactions, and shouldn't come off as so Coyote-centric now when I've given more lines to each Leopard you mentioned that didn't previously say much, plus Max's speech to Justin has also been shortened. I only came up with the additional ideas afterwards, and hopefully you feel it's better now. As for this chapter, I've now included more line breaks for dialogue between characters. It was fun to write for Scott, and it's nice to see somebody enjoyed his guest appearance! Good idea on trying to hear people say lines in my head before using them. It certainly helped with my writing :).
Danicus Green: You'll see what follows for our wannabe villain. Not sure what potential you saw within the model during TDI that wasn't utilized, but I personally didn't forsee much beyond trying to get by with his looks, and feel he overstayed his welcome during TDA.
Now the story continues.
As the sun rose and shined in Chef's face through a window, he could be seen awakening. The cook was hoping to sleep some more, but knew his boss was bound to wake him up within the next 10 minutes anyway. In the meantime, he decided to use the toilet while there was still time to do so and took his phone with him into the bathroom.
(Begin Confessional: Chef)
"Waking up before my boss has its perks. I don't have to deal with his bothersome noises that way. Furthermore, I got another chance to consult our donor this morning. We've been discussing when they'll appear on the show. Today is not that day, but the time is getting closer."
(End Confessional)
The cameras cut to Chris snoring in bed. Before that host's alarm clock could go off, Hatchet decided to turn the tables on him by banging on his door and saying "You've had enough beauty sleep. How do you like it when somebody wakes you up super early with door knocking?"
McLean yawned before groggily answering "It sucks ass, and you've made your point very clearly. Just be sure that you save some breakfast for us both. I'll meet you in the kitchen within half an hour."
"Say the magic word." insisted the second-in-command.
The host groaned in irritation and replied "Fine, PLEASE save some breakfast for us both."
"That's better. I'll prepare plenty of food for everyone and wake up the contestants." the cook assured him and took off to do so.
(Begin Confessional: Chris)
"Someone like myself needs as much beauty sleep as possible. It's beyond me why Chef would think otherwise, aside from being jealous of my good looks. I would've snuck in a bit more rest had he not woke up the contestants right after doing the same with me, but oh well."
(End Confessional)
About 25 minutes later, the competitors were seen eating freshly baked croissants. They were delightful, and it disappointed them how the cook wouldn't allow second servings. One of them didn't seem too thrilled to eat despite how tasty those were. It was Anne Maria, who still felt depressed over the previous elimination, though was no longer crying like she had been last night. Leshawna told her "I know you miss Justin, but don't let that interfere with the upcoming challenge. Our team needs you to be focused so we can win."
The hairspray lover sniffled before responding with "Quite frankly, it sucks big time how he's gone so soon. I can't stop thinking about him."
Soon afterwards, the host could be heard instructing through his megaphone "Speed it up, people! Get outside as soon as you finish eating. We don't have all day."
(Begin Confessional: Leshawna)
"It's one thing to be upset over someone leaving the game, but if that girl can no longer bring herself to put effort into challenges, then she'll need to go."
(End Confessional)
Upon finishing their meal, everybody met with McLean outdoors. He held up two trophies and informed them "Today, your goal is to get one of these trophies and bring it back before the opposing side does. Each team will share a large sailboat as they race over to collect them from another island. There will be markers in the water to help you stay on the correct path. However, there's a caveat: winning this will require ALL of you to be in your boats when approaching the other island as well as this one. Try not to let any teammates go overboard! If they do, then you must get them back on deck no matter what. You'll have to be careful of that when there's rough waters today and lots of wind. Chef will hand you out life jackets to wear before you climb aboard, and you'll collect those trophies from him. Please put those on once you receive them."
All the players complied as the cook gave them said jackets. Brick inquired "Isn't it a bit soon to go near the waters after we just ate?"
Hatchet answered that with "I personally say yes, but that sadly isn't under my control. There's a puke bucket on each boat in case any of you feel seasick."
His boss scoffed at the mention of those buckets and bragged "Using that is for wimps! A real champ like myself would just aim such vomit over the side of the deck and hold tight while unleashing it, ideally without falling into the mess."
Dave was highly grossed out by such a thought and pleaded "I beg of you; don't fill our heads with such nasty mental images!"
"I have to agree with Mr. Clean." said Jo.
The showrunner dismissed such complaints with "You people are wusses with weak stomachs! Now, time to enter your boats."
Shortly afterwards, the cameras showed two large boats. One had a silver sail the Coyotes while the other had a gold sail for the Leopards. Both were tied to the docks were everybody was standing. There was also a small speedboat for Chef to use. The second-in-command helped each team into their respective boats, which were already rocking around somewhat with the wavy waters. He cautioned "Watch your step. We don't want anybody getting soaked before the race even starts." prior to getting into his own boat and quickly taking off with the trophies.
Once all 16 players were settled in, their host pulled out an air horn. He announced "We're about to have one hell of a race. It's going to be a bumpy ride! Once I blow this horn, it's go-time! Do your best to stay in these boats. It otherwise could cost you the challenge. Now I'm just waiting for Chef to give me the signal that he has arrived before you take off."
After several minutes, McLean's phone could be heard ringing loudly. The man answered it right away. While nobody else could hear the exact words being used, it didn't take long for them to get an idea of what was being said. Once that ended, he confirmed their suspicions with "OK, the trophies are ready for you. Let's race!" and blew his horn.
Beardo sang the chorus of "Come Sail Away" by Styx during the take-off, believing it could lighten up peoples' mood to some extent, and managed to perfectly imitate the sound of the band's former lead singer Dennis DeYoung. Familiar with the song, Ella eagerly joined in as they repeated the lyrics "Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me!"
In contrast, one of his teammates didn't seem too fond of this. Jo cut them off with "Less Styx, and more focusing on victory!"
He retorted "You're a party-pooper with no sense of musical fun." while adjusting their boat's sail, demonstrating that reciting songs didn't interfere with concentration on their challenge.
(Begin Confessional: Beardo)
"Don't interrupt me when in the middle of a cool jam!"
(End Confessional)
The one who joined him in singing also focused on her own boat. Soon afterwards, a gust of wind from blew from behind and boosted them both ahead. That also made it more difficult for everyone to keep their footing, though nobody toppled over. By no means was it smooth sailing for any of them. After a couple minutes, a giant wave came up from the sides, and contact with it was inevitable no matter how much the sailors tried to avert it. They all got drenched! On the Leopards' boat, Anne Maria complained "Stupid ocean had to mess up my perfectly good hair!"
Dawn advised "You shouldn't be so focused on that right now. Safety is a bigger priority."
In response, the hairspray lover insisted "Maybe in your book, but I find it equally important to my appearance."
The aura-whisperer followed that up with "Very predictable how you'd say such a thing."
Over on the Coyotes' boat, Dakota commented "I used to feel the same way about how I looked until my toxic waste exposure. Trust me when I say that your well-being should always take precedence. It wouldn't kill you to delay any hair fixups." before turning to focus on the path ahead and adjusting her team's sail.
Such advice was quickly dismissed with "You of all people have no right to give recommendations on fashion after turning into Godzilla in season 4."
(Begin Confessional: Dawn)
"Glad somebody learned their lesson on how looks aren't the main thing one needs to worry about, especially when in danger. Too bad I can't say the same for a certain teammate of mine, who just had to make a rude 'Godzilla' remark."
(End Confessional)
A split screen showed both boats as they continued onwards. It became increasingly difficult for people to not slip and fall. They resented their host for deliberately choosing a day with this weather for any water-based events. Rodney did his best to guide the Leopard boat without sending any teammates overboard. In the meantime, a certain germaphobe on his team was starting to feel seasick and grabbed the team's bucket in case he needed to barf, ultimately ending up doing just that a couple minutes later. Not wanting to deal with the nasty sight for long, Dave asked "Any idea on where I can dump this besides in the water? I'd rather not contaminate that."
Meanwhile, Max had gotten ill as well, proclaiming "Evil vomit!" right before doing the same into his own bucket.
Blaineley got a devious idea. She grabbed the bucket from her nauseous teammate, and flung its contents across their boat, landing right in the eyes of the one guiding the Leopards' sail! Not at all expecting to be blinded by any of the Coyotes' upchuck, Rodney panicked "Get this mess off me! I can't see a thing! It's so disgusting I might get sick."
Within several seconds, he hurled as well, making a mess all over the boat floor and inadvertently slipping in it when trying to find his footing. It didn't help that they ended up colliding with a few boulders without anybody to taking control in time to avert those. Unfortunately for him and his other queasy teammate, they collided when farm boy ended up accidentally falling towards that guy, who was about to reluctantly dump their bucket's contents overboard. It went in the air and ended up spilling onto his face. Dave was subsequently blinded when the filthy bucket landed over his face, making him freak out!
Mildred was laughing her ass off at this sight. The same could be said for the wannabe villain, even when still feeling sick. He complimented "How diabolical! I wish I thought of that."
In response, she bragged "It goes to show I'm a capable player who knows how to put others at disadvantages. Good thing you didn't kick me off beforehand."
Just when the clean freak thought things couldn't get any worse, he nearly ended up tipping over into the sea! Luckily one of his teammates saved him from such a fate. Who was that? None other than Ella, who reached him before anybody else could as they scrambled to prevent this. She just barely managed to grab Dave's ankles in time and used all her strength to yank the germaphobe back onto their deck soon afterwards. He was in a state of shock and didn't immediately respond, simply sitting down in silence while trying to process it all. Nobody expected this girl to pull off such a task without assistance, but that's what had just happened. Leshawna in the meantime had taken control of their sail to prevent the ship from going astray.
(Begin Confessional: Dave)
"Having to fall into ocean along with my vomit would've probably been the most revolting experience of my life. Ella has my eternal gratitude for saving me from that and possible death, especially when she went out of her way to not only clean me off but also check in on my needs afterwards. I owe the girl big time for that."
(End Confessional)
With a nearby hose found on the boat, she sprayed all the vomit off him as well as Rodney before handing it over to Trent. Both guys were grateful to be cleaned. While their guitar-playing teammate used said hose to clean off their floors as well as the bucket that somehow made it back aboard, Ella was worried for someone who almost fell into the waters. She approached him and asked "David, do you need anything right now?"
He gratefully hugged his rescuer and responded with "THANK YOU SO MUCH! You're an angel, and I would've been a goner without your help. My only needs right now are saying that, staying as clean as possible without falling overboard, and having a nice rest once the challenge is over."
The lookalike of Snow White gladly accepted such a warm embrace and replied with "No problem at all." as they both smiled with relief.
Dawn affirmed "Some rest would indeed serve you well when the chance does come up. The same goes for Rodney."
(Begin Confessional: Ella)
"There was no way I would ever let him fall overboard! To be honest, I didn't know how much physical strength I had before today." the princess told the camera, with tears of joy forming in her eyes as she smiled and continued with "Hearing Prince David call me 'an angel' after being saved was also a very welcome surprise."
(End Confessional)
(Begin Confessional: Rodney)
"Ella washed off my vomit. It's true love!"
(End Confessional)
Over on the other boat, Jo interrupted their moment with "Enough with the touchy-feely crap! It might make me end up heaving."
Sam retorted with "I know we have an ongoing race, but put yourself in his shoes: how would you feel after getting rescued from some traumatic fate? Let the guy have a moment to share his gratitude."
She subsequently threatened "Zip it before I decide to toss you overboard!"
That quickly shut the gamer up, though he still frowned at his teammate. Luckily for him, Eva reminded her "In case you forgot, Chris would penalize us for leaving any teammates behind in the water. That wouldn't be worth it at all." while trying to control their team's sail.
"OK, fair point there." Jo relented.
(Begin Confessional: Eva)
"Nobody was going get tossed into the water today with me around. I couldn't risk losing over that."
(End Confessional)
The cameras cut towards Chef, who was seen on the other island lying on a lounge chair and smoking a marijuana joint as the trophies lay beside him. He felt at ease with nobody around to disturb his relaxation time. Knowing it wouldn't last forever, the cook cherished this rare solitude while it lasted and said to himself "It's good to kick back for a change without worrying about being told what to do."
(Begin Confessional: Chef)
"Can you blame me for wanting some alone time? I'm obligated to take many orders from Chris, and it sometimes gets rather stressful. Thankfully getting stoned helps me unwind. I admittedly will also sometimes use alcohol to relax. Normally I try to stay sober on camera, but I've already got quite a lot on my plate these days and decided it would be nice to treat myself, hence my smoking weed."
(End Confessional)
Back on the boats, nobody was sure who would reach their destination first. It was neck-and-neck between the teams. At least 15 minutes passed before the island was visible. Nobody bothered speaking again until they could see it. Once they did, Beardo called out "Land ho!"
The waters had somewhat calmed down by that point, but still were rocky. Both sides reached it at about the same time, with DJ and Eva tying knots around the docks to secure their respective team boats. Another minute or two passed before they found the second-in-command, who was noticeably lethargic from his cannabis consumption, and that left a noticeable scent around him. He inquired "How did you get here so soon? I could've sworn it would take longer when sailing in today's rough waters."
Brick answered with "A good soldier—or group of soldiers in this case—can find a way to make it through adversity. Resilience paid off today."
"Well done." Hatchet complimented as he lazily handed one trophy to him. "Just take the trophies and go. I need to sober up before operating a speedboat and could really some more alone time to rest on this island anyway."
"Works for me." Jo said before grabbing the other trophy, and they all took off.
Pleased that such gatherings went easier than expected, the contestants were relieved to catch somewhat of a break before having to endure another bumpy ride. The same people who secured their boats to the docks untied them before they set sail. Unfortunately for all 16 competitors, the waters were now even rougher! Rodney and Beardo tried to steer their respective team boats as smoothly as possible without any collisions, which wasn't always avoidable, and they ended up bumping into each other several times.
After several bumps, Anne Maria and Jo took over, with both teams testing out whether it could reduce such a frequency. The former was also determined to avenge Justin. Everyone quickly figured out it made no difference, though there was an unspoken agreement to save time by not switching again.
(Begin Confessional: Rodney)
"I wish I didn't crash into the other boat, but it wasn't easy to control my own at the time. At least I didn't get sick again before returning to the main island or have any additional vomit splatter over me."
(End Confessional)
The cameras cut to Chris, who was sitting on the docks and waiting impatiently. He decided to pull out his phone to call Chef. After a few dials, the host chastised "What the hell is taking you so long? I can understand the contestants not arriving yet, but I could've sworn you'd be back by now with a much faster boat!"
His aid could be faintly heard saying "To cut a long story short, I'm not in a very good condition to operate it right now."
McLean didn't take long to deduce the reason and threatened "You better get back in time for the meals and be sober enough to prepare them when the time comes, or I might fire you."
"Don't worry; I'll make that deadline for sure!" Hatchet assured him. "Just let me know who wins once I do come back."
Satisfied with that response, the showrunner hung up.
(Begin Confessional: Chris)
"Could Chef seriously not refrain from getting stoned until somebody had immunity? Sure, I like to smoke joints myself, but I wait until challenges are finished before using drugs. There's a time and place for that sort of thing."
(End Confessional)
It took at least another 20 minutes for either boat to become visible. The host was pleased to catch sight of them and announced through his megaphone "Here's a reminder that you not only must get your boat back to the docks, but also hand in your trophies. Whichever team gets a trophy to me first wins invincibility tonight!"
Nobody needed to be told that twice. As they got closer to the docks, Max and Mr. MacArthur grabbed the trophies and prepared to make a run for it once the time came. Leshawna told the latter "Your athleticism should help you make it before that runt does, so it looks like we've got another victory in the bag."
Unfortunately for them, the aspiring evildoer overheard that and got angry, retorting "Oh yeah, can a runt do this?" before chucking his team's puke bucket at her face.
It was a direct hit. She snapped "Why you little pest, you'll pay for that!"
This only ended up infuriating him further, and he put down his trophy to spray the girl with a nearby hose while yelling "Don't call me little!"
Brick disapprovingly told the wannabe villain "That was poor form, soldier!"
Max gave a dismissive "Your supposed code of conduct has no bearing on me. In fact, given how EVIL my actions were, I have no regrets over what I did."
The one who got hosed was not at all amused. In the meantime, Eva had grabbed the trophy that her teammate was holding and was ready to dash off. She and the cadet did just that as soon as their boats were parked. Chris pondered "Which team will win now that we're in the final stretch?"
"It had better be our side; that Max needs to go home for getting Justin out of the game!" Anne Maria shouted, still feeling upset over the previous elimination ceremony.
"We'll see about that." the host added. "Today, immunity from the vote goes to…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
The Coyotes! They finally claim victory for a change of pace. It's time for the Leopards to think about who they'll vote off."
Very understandably stoked to finally win, the Coyotes cheered triumphantly as the Leopards sulked over their loss.
(Begin Confessional: Eva)
"Not only is this my first victory ever on the show, but I'm the one who scores it? That's a damn good feeling to have."
(End Confessional)
(Begin Confessional: Blaineley)
"Wasn't sure when I'd first get immunity, but it's overdue."
(End Confessional)
(Begin Confessional: Dakota)
"So glad I finally won a challenge! Nice to not have to worry about getting the boot."
(End Confessional)
(Begin Confessional: Beardo)
"Score one for me and my side!"
(End Confessional)
The cameras cut to Dave lying down on his bed in the hotels. While not as queasy as before, the germaphobe still didn't feel well. He muttered to himself "It was bad enough having to upchuck on that boat and almost go overboard with that spilled over me. Now losing today's challenge only makes things worse. On the plus side, I probably won't get voted off tonight."
Soon afterwards, knocking could be heard from the other side of his door. Ella inquired "Do you still need more time to rest? I have some saltine crackers and ginger ale that might help your stomach."
Grateful for the offer, he said "You can bring those in. I'm currently just trying to recover, and welcome anything that could aid it."
She entered the room and stated "No need to rush. They'll be on your nightstand once you're ready. I just did the same with Rodney, who was doing the same as you when I checked."
He thanked her with "Much appreciated. After this and what you did for us earlier on our boat, the least I can do to repay you is vote for whoever you'd like to send off. Just tell me who you have in mind, and I'll go with that."
After pondering for a moment, the princess whispered something into his ear that nobody else could've heard. His response was "Not what I originally had in mind, but OK. I just hope neither of us get axed."
"Same with me." Ella told him in agreement and turned to leave, adding on her way out "See you at dinner time or sooner."
(Begin Confessional: Dave)
"Good thing I formed an alliance before needing to vote for someone. That helped for sure. I just want this rotten day to be over with."
(End Confessional)
Over in the lounge, Sam was sitting with Ms. Milton. He told her "It's a relief we got to balance out the scores a bit today. I would've hated to endure a third consecutive loss."
She concurred with "Me too! It's a new experience that I gladly welcome. I now wish I got at least one victory during our previous season together."
"As nice as that would be, there's no changing the past, and we can only do our best to obtain a better future." the gamer replied. "When safe from tonight's vote, we of course do get more time to spend with one another."
Dakota suddenly smirked when getting an idea and decided to share it, stating "I know of a good way to spend such time." while wrapping her arms around him.
He quickly figured out what she had in mind, accepting such advances with "No objections to that!" and they began to share some kisses.
About 30 seconds passed before they started hearing the opening instrumentals to "All the fire" by Hi-Fi. The couple halted their smooches to detect where it was coming from. Dakota was noticeably irritated when asking "Do you mind?" upon noticing Beardo, figuring out that he was making the sounds.
The sound producer looked sheepish and gave an apology of "Sorry about that. I thought it some music would help set the mood for what you had going on. It looks like I was wrong. I'll let you have your privacy now, though will say I'm also glad to win for once." before exiting the area.
(Begin Confessional: Sam)
"Even though it wasn't done out of malice, I really don't like when people intrude my make-out sessions. I can only hope that it'll never happen again. Beardo seems to have learned his lesson."
(End Confessional)
Outside the hotels, DJ asked Trent "Have you decided who to vote for tonight?"
The guitarist's answer was "No, still on the fence. I'll have to get back to you on that."
Dawn overheard their conversation and commented "For what it's worth, I doubt either of you will need to worry about getting eliminated this evening. You didn't do anything to hinder us in the challenge."
"That's true." said the gentle giant. "No matter who ends up leaving, we can only hope that our team doesn't lose again next time."
(Begin Confessional: Dawn)
"Not that I would say this in front of them, but I obviously know how Trent and DJ have an alliance. While neither of their auras showed signs of wanting me gone, which is welcome, I still can't say for sure which of our teammates will be kicked off tonight. The verdict won't come until after our dinner has been served."
(End Confessional)
Chef eventually arrived at the docks, with his boss waiting there for him. Chris reprimanded "You seriously took far too long to return. Let this be a lesson for the future to not use drugs until challenges are done for the day. I otherwise might reduce your salary. On the plus side, you've made it back unharmed and were sober enough to not damage that speedboat. I'm fine with you getting high, stoned, or drunk in between challenges, but not during them."
Hatchet didn't bother trying to justify his marijuana use, knowing it wouldn't make a difference, and simply replied with "Sorry, and I fully understand. Maybe next time we can do that together."
Pleased enough with that response to crack a smile, McLean told him "That's more like it. Now we have to decide what to feed our contestants with for dinner."
(Begin Confessional: Chef)
"Chris probably has no idea or concern how hard it was today to refrain from smoking any joints before the challenge was over. At least it's a healthier way to relieve stress than drinking alcohol."
(End Confessional)
That night, the dinner options were tofu or some roast turkey. As the contestants ate, Trent told his ally "I've made my decision for the vote." before inaudibly whispering something into the guy's ear.
DJ replied with "Works for me. I had the same person in mind."
Over on another table, Blaineley asked Max "Any guess on who the other team will get rid of tonight?"
He answered with "Not right now. I'll just wait until the elimination ceremony and am just grateful to at last have invincibility from the vote."
(Begin Confessional: Max)
"To whoever leaves this evening, know that EVIL outlasted you." The aspiring evildoer bragged before laughing villainously and continuing with "I don't expect to get axed anytime soon."
(End Confessional)
After the meal was over, Chris could be seen outdoors. He used his megaphone to instruct "Leopards, it's time for you to cast your votes. Coyotes, remember that all contestants must be present for elimination ceremonies even when immune, so come join me at the campfire."
The cameras cut towards said campfire. McLean and his assistant could be seen there as all the players arrived. Each Coyote seated themselves in the bleachers while every Leopard sat on a log stump. Once they had all taken their seats, the host told them "OK campers, today was rough for all of you, and it's about to get even rougher for one particular person. I hope you've all decided who to cut loose."
(Begin Confessional: Dave)
"I originally was going to vote for Rodney when he was the one who nearly knocked me off the boat, even though that was an accident, but am going with Ella's idea to cut him a break when already feeling ill from puking like I did and instead shall vote for Anne Maria after he seemed to put more effort into the sailing. It looks like she took some pity on the guy."
(End Confessional)
(Begin Confessional: Brick)
"Who do I vote off to increase our chances of obtaining another victory? I just hope they don't axe me."
(End Confessional)
As soon as everybody had cast their votes, the showrunner announced "Your choices have been made. Chef will now hand out bronze keys to those who are safe. Our first key of the night goes to…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
Leshawna!"
Upon receiving her safety symbol, she cheered "Hell yeah! It's good to stick around."
"Next up, DJ is also safe, and so is Trent." McLean informed everyone.
Once those guys received their keys, they exchanged smiles and shared a fist bump.
"Only five more will last another round. Who will they be?" inquired the cook, even though he already knew the answer.
His boss followed that up with "I'll tell you now that we're not kicking off Ella tonight. Dave gets to stick around as well, and the same goes for Dawn."
The named contestants were glad to not be eliminated. Once their keys had been distributed, the three remaining players started to show signs of being nervous. Chris continued with "Three competitors left, only two of which will get a key. The next person to receive one shall be…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
Brick! Despite losing it for your team today, you didn't get any votes."
The solider insisted "I will do my best to not let that happen again."
"You better not, or it could spell your doom." Chef warned while giving him his key.
Both of those without keys were now starting to sweat. The host said "Anne Maria and Rodney, one of you received five votes and has spent their last day on the island. Whoever gets the final key of the night should be grateful to have another chance. With only four votes against them, it goes to…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
Anne Maria!"
The hairspray lover took a sigh of relief and remarked "That was too close!" while getting her key.
Chris followed that up with "Rodney, it's curtains for you."
Frowning once this verdict was given, the farm boy complained "Talk about a bummer. Sorry for those boat collisions, everybody. I do wish the waters weren't so rough today."
"No hard feelings. You did your best to minimize that." Leshawna told him.
Shortly afterward the keys were given out, everybody headed off to the big boot. After the loser of the night was placed on the designated target, Chef bid him farewell with "So long, Rod. Is there anything else you'd like to say before you leave?"
His response was "Only this: good luck to my remaining teammates! Be sure to win as much as possible in the future." before getting kicked away.
As soon as Rodney was out of sight, the 15 remaining players walked away. Chris subsequently signed off the episode with "The victory count is now 2-1. Will it be evened out after another challenge? Only one way to find out. That's by tuning into the next episode of Total. Drama. Generation Showdown!"
The Coyotes claim their first victory, and the Leopards finally send someone off! Fifteen people are still in the game. You'll have to wait until I have Chapter 5 up to see who will go out next.
Reason for elimination: With or without those boat collisions on the way back, Rodney couldn't prevent his team boat from hitting rocks, and it was because of him that they almost had a teammate go overboard. Our farm boy was never going to make it far anyway when his gag of falling in love over simple things quickly gets old and bothersome. While I tried to tone that down a bit to make the guy more tolerable and wanted him to get a reality check prior to going home (even though Justin was rather harsh and Brick offered more helpful advice), he isn't very useful in the first place unless physical strength is required. There might be people who wish Rod went further, but oh well. At least the one deluded about love managed to get a couple victories beforehand.
Voting results:
Anne Maria: 4 votes (Dave, Ella, Leshawna, Rodney)
Rodney: 5 votes (Anne Maria, Brick, Dawn, DJ, Trent)
Elimination Order:
Sugar (18th place), Justin (17th place), Rodney (16th place)
Remaining Players:
Howling Coyotes: Beardo, Blaineley, Dakota, Eva, Jo, Max, Sam
Roaring Leopards: Anne Maria, Brick, Dave, Dawn, DJ, Ella, Leshawna, Trent
