Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter NOR any of his friends NEITHER any of his enemies. It's hard to admit, but when I'm done with them all, I have to return them to Joanne K. Rowling in an original wrapping and unharmed. I make no money, I mean no harm.

The Secret Power
The room was crowded, and yet, not a sound could be heard. Hermione, ash all over her face, was staring at the nearest wall. Ron was rocking slowly back and forth, cradling his bleeding arm. Minerva McGonagall was quietly crying. Mad Eye Moody was watching the corridor behind the sealed door. Lupin was sitting under the sole window, eyes closed. Luna Lovegood was moving her lips without breathing a word. Neither thought of what had happenned just few minutes ago.

Lupin stood up suddenly and rested his hands on McGonagall's shoulders.

"We'd better go, before they find us," he whispered. Ron jumped to his feet.

"And what for?" he shouted. "What for? It's over! Harry's dead and what about that special power he had, we're done in, we're done..." His voice broke down and he sank to his knees.

"Nonsense," said Luna in her singsong voice. "It's not over."

"What do you know. The prophecy..." Hermione started, but Luna cut her short.

"Prophecies are not the only ways things can happen. Our future is in our hands."

"But the power You... V-Voldemort doesn't know about..." Ron piped in.

"That's you, silly. Harry's friends. That's the power. The force. What you feel for him, what you would do for him. Wouldn't you carry out his plans now? Would you stop and lose the war just because he himself isn't here to tell you to fight? Harry is lost, but his main weapon isn't. That's you."

McGonagall raised her head and watched Luna intently. This was a side of the Ravenclaw girl she had never seen before. So sensible, out of blue. A bit stretched, but consistent in a way. And why not? She sought Lupin's eyes. There was a new light, new hope rising from the ashes.

"Right," Hermione said and stood up. Her face shown a new resolution as well. "Right, with one excepion." And she put a hand on Luna's shoulder. "You're a part of this force as well. We are Harry's secret weapon - all of us. And more."

In less than two months, a new army faced Voldemort. An army gathered under Harry Potter's name. They fought for their lives - and they won.

A/N: If the ending reminds you of Brave Heart, it probably should. I'm such a little thief. Sorry to Mel Gibson or whoever has the rights.
