"Right! Here we are, Hermione!" The Doctor ran to the doors and Hermione happily followed him. "Out these doors, there could be anything. Galaxies, planet..."

"Maybe you should stop being so dramatic and we go and see them?" she said sarcastically.

"...moons, stars..." the Doctor continued. He flung open the doors and stepped outside.

"EXTERMINATE!"

"...or Daleks. Get back in the TARDIS!" he cried, and just before they could get back inside, the doors slammed shut.

"Doctor, the doors are closed! I didn't do anything they just closed and I can't get in and I don't know what's happening!" she said all in one breath. He looked at the group of Daleks in front of him, looked at Hermione, whispered one word in her ear: "Run", then grabbed her hand and did just that.

They ran, with no idea where they were going, with Daleks shooting and shouting behind them. The Doctor's brown hair flapped in front of his eyes, and Hermione's mess of tangled brown hair was flying behind her as she ran.

"In here!" Hermione noticed something that looked like a very small cupboard. They climbed inside and tried to catch their breath.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"'Course I'm okay, I'm the king of okay. And you?"

"I'm fine. Well, as fine as someone can be after being chased by and almost killed by a gang of evil robots!"

"They're not robots, they're Daleks."

"...Great. So we've got Daleks chasing us, the TARDIS refused to open, we've got no idea where we are and we're hiding in a tiny cupboard.

"Today really hasn't been a good day."

Author's note: There's more to come! Hopefully a bit more 11/Hermione in the next chapter. :D

Thanks to alex-and-the-babes for the idea!
