A.N. Sorry ramy4eva211 but I can't come up with suitable lyrics and since it is an Andre's song I can't use existing ones. BoriForever I hope you'll like my Alyssa Vaughn.
Kiss and Run
"Hey man, we have a half hour before the classroom frees and we can begin the rehearsal." Andre said to Beck while both of them where hanging around at the Asphalt Café after the classes. "Let's get something to drink, its hot out here."
"Yeah, you're right" They got to the vending machine and got their drinks. Beck looked at his friend somewhat apprehensively.
"Andre, I have always wondered, you and Tori spend a lot of time together, get along well, she sings most of your songs, and you two have been free for most of last eight months, how come you haven't tried to hook up with her?" Beck looked carefully at his friend's face, trying to read his emotion.
"Why I haven't tried to date Tori?" Andre looked surprised at Beck and sensed that this was not just an idle question for his friend. "She is a very pretty girl and I love spending time with her, but love requires a spark of desire. I have never felt that spark with Tori. On top of that are a great music team and it will be a shame to ruin that for a fleeting high school romance."
Andre sensed a hint of relief on Beck's face. His friend was good actor but he was not as inscrutable as he thought. Andre had thought that his friend was attracted to Tori on some level ever since she came to Hollywood Arts. After all he had never tried so hard to befriend a girl over Jade's objections before. Usually one of Jade's death glares or at most one of the more physical expressions of her displeasure was enough to chase away any girl showing interest towards Beck. But not with Tori. It seemed that this attraction had finally managed to make its way from the back of his mind to the very front.
"Now let's see if you can muster some of that spark for the song. After all, it's a love duet." Beck looked suspiciously to his friend. "You are an actor – act." Andre finished and they headed to the empty music classroom.
Tori already waited them inside. Her hair, illuminated by the sun shining through the windows, was glowing just like in his dream. Beck felt his breath stopping at the sight. He made a coughing sound to cover it up and greeted Tori.
"Yesterday we covered the individual singing. Now let's see how it will sound when you sing to each other, so we can know on what to work for the performance." Andre told them and sat behind the piano.
Beck stood facing Tori, only couple of steps separating them. She stood there bathed in the afternoon Californian sunlight. They began singing. The music and lyrics filled the room. The rest of the world began to fade away. Beck felt like in his dreams, as if there was no one else in the world but him and Tori. As if he couldn't tear his eye from her. He felt her sweet voice calling to him, pulling him closer and closer. All the feelings that he allowed himself only in his dreams began bubbling up on the surface. Beck felt as if he couldn't command of his own body. At one point he felt as if he was watching from the side. Himself and Tori, facing each other, they faces filled with the emotions of the two lovers from the song. Then it happened. As if in slow motion Beck saw himself make a step forward, bend and kiss Tori right on the lips. Her lips were soft and gentle and tasted like strawberry. For one glorious, endless, fulfilling and fleeting second she returned the kiss with equal tenderness and passion. Then the moment was over and she stepped back with a gasp. Tori covered her traitorous lips with her hand, stumbled backwards a couple of steps, turned and fled the room.
"Beck, man, what did you do?" Andre asked incredulously his friend. Beck didn't even hear the question. After he recovered from the shock of his own action he rushed after Tori but she was nowhere to be seen. He tried her phone but Andre answered it, she had forgotten it in the classroom. He searched around the school but she was nowhere to be found. Beck jumped in his car and drove to her house but an irritated Trina with face covered in some green goo told him she hasn't seen her sister since lunch. Beck was at loss. He didn't know where else to look for Tori. He didn't know what to tell Jade. He didn't know what to do. His head felt so full and empty at the same time. Beck was completely confused, something he didn't feel often. Suddenly his phone buzzed, it was time for his meeting with Alyssa. He didn't know what else to do, so he decided to go to the meeting. He hoped that the older girl will have some useful ideas, because he was at a complete loss.
Beck drove his car towards a small but stylish café tucked away in one of the artistic parts of the city. Alyssa had proposed it for their little meetings, once every one-two weeks. It was unknown to the paparazzi so it was unlikely that their photos will end up in some gossip site. Beck smiled remembering the jealousy his acquaintance with the gorgeous socialite had aroused in Jade. In fact it was the complete lack of any romantic attraction between them that made their friendship possible. Alyssa Vaughn was so sick and tired of guys constantly hitting on her or asking favors from her that when she met a guy that wanted neither and was a good company she decided to keep in touch. Beck also liked the fact that he could talk to a girl, aside from Cat, without worrying about any romantic complications. He entered the café and saw Alyssa sitting behind a table for two in a secluded corner. In front of her, on the table there was a cup of black coffee and a small piece some fancy looking torte. She waved at him and gave him a quick friendly peck on the cheek before he sat down.
"Hi Crazy Hair, what is going on? You look frazzled." She asked with concern. Beck decided to go to the point quickly.
"Remember my friend Tori. I have mentioned her before." He said while accepting a toll glass of cold lemonade that the waiter put before him.
"The cute redhead or the sexy brunette?" asked Alyssa putting a small bite of the torte in her mouth.
"The second one"
"Oh, I remember your pretty 'friend' Tori." She smirked to him with glee.
"Well, for the last few nights I have been having these dreams about her." Beck avoided her filling with mirth gaze. "These vivid sensual full-color dreams. And today, while we were rehearsing a song I kissed her and she ran away." Half a dozen jokes where at the tip of her tongue, but seeing his distraught state Alyssa decided to spare him. For now.
"You what? But what about your scary girlfriend, what are you going to tell her." She asked instead with concern.
"I have no idea. I was hoping that you may have some." Beck drank two big gulps of the lemonade.
"Oh, darling boy, I think you already know what you have to do. You just want someone else to confirm it. I've heard how you talk about your 'friend' Tori and you have been falling for her for quite some time now. Why do you think your girlfriend is so hostile to her?" she smiled at him.
"So how come I'm the last to see that I'm falling for Tori." Beck signed.
"Because you are a good guy and you want to be faithful to your girlfriend. But you are young, the heart wants what the heart wants and there is only so much you can do to fight it." She patted his hand encouragingly.
"I should break up with Jade." Beck said sadly but firmly.
"I know that it will be hard. But it is the right thing to do. You are in love with someone else."
"Thanks, Alyssa." He said gratefully to his friend.
"When you get together with that Tori girl you can bring her so that I can meet her. She is not going to freak out because we are friends is she?" Alyssa asked with a small sly grin.
"No, I think she will handle it. I think I will go now. Thanks again." He gave her a small smile, got up and gave her a quick goodbye peck on the cheek. Then he turned to leave the café.
"Goodbye and good luck. Call me when it's over" Alyssa shook her head and returned to her torte.
Beck returned to his car, got in drove off. It was time to talk with Jade.
