A.N. I originally intended to end this fiction with the last chapter. But then I decided to try and explore Jade's vengeful schemes and try and bring Alyssa Vaughn for another scene or two. Beck will probably not have any more dreams of Tori, since he is already with her. Updates might be only once per week, because I have few one-shots clamoring for attention in mind.

New Day, New Girlfriend, New Problems

Beck entered Hollywood Arts with conflicted feelings. On the one hand he was excited to see his new girlfriend – the lovely Tori Vega; on the other he was anxious about the reaction of his ex-girlfriend – Jade. After all Jade might not be the most liked girl at Hollywood Arts, but she was probably the most feared. And with a good reason, if you cross her she could use her creativity, tenacity and love for the macabre to make your live extremely miserable. He hoped his warning might somewhat moderate her reaction, but he wasn't betting any money on that. He saw Tori in front of her locker, whole and unmolested, so Jade was either late or had something more elaborate in mind.

"Good morning Tori." He greeted her, slipped his hands around her slim waist and kissed her sweet lips. He loved the feeling of her body in his arms. She returned and deepened the kiss. He lost himself into that kiss, into the embrace of the beloved girl. He hoped that all his school days could begin like this. At this moment he felt that he could deal with anything the world throes at him.

Beck heard commotion behind his back and turned to see. It was Jade; she was dressed in the customary for her dark colors but instead of her usual jeans or tight pants she was wearing a miniskirt exposing her shapely legs and a top that showed quite a bit of cleavage. If she wanted to attract attention it was definitely working. Poor Sinjin was so distracted by her appearance that walked face first into a wall. 'Okay, she is definitely up to something.' The rest of the morning went with him by Tori's side and Jade throwing malevolent glances toward her. Finally just before lunch Jade approached him.

"So how is the new happy couple?" The sarcasm in her voice was hard to miss.

"Very well, thank you." He kept his tone even and friendly. "I appreciate that you haven't tried to harm Tori, very mature of you."

"Oh, don't worry; I won't harm your precious Vega." She smiled calculatingly. "We'll see how long you two will last."

Jade grabbed her hot-dog from Festus and walked towards their usual table, where she sat between Cat and Andre. Beck set his lunch on the table and sat between Tori and Robbie. The somewhat tense silence was broken by Cat.

"Jade you have a very pretty outfit today. I don't remember that skirt. Is it new?"

"Yeah, I would have remembered that skirt, or the top." Rex chimed in. "It would have been impossible to forget them." Surprisingly Jade didn't rip his hand off, instead she smirked.

"It is new. Now that I'm free I decided to look around and see if the boys at Hollywood Arts have something interesting to offer. During the last two years with Beck we have grown accustomed to satisfying each others large appetites. It will be hard to find him a worthy replacement." She grabbed the last six inches of her hot-dog ate it in one bite. That had the sought after effect. Beck couldn't believe his ears. He felt Tori tense up beside him. Andre wordlessly moved his eyes from Jade to Beck to Tori. Robbie was speechless and when Rex tried to open his mouth he wisely put his free hand over it. Only Cat seemingly didn't comprehend what had Jade just said.

"My brother likes to cook too, but he is not good at it. He always burns the hot-dogs."

The rest of the lunch passed mostly in awkward silence. After that Beck left with Tori. There weren't many opportunities for them to talk for the rest of the school day, but he caught her before she left for home with Trina.

"Tori, would you like it if I came by after I finish here? We could spend some time together and talk." He smiled at her, grabbed her hand and entangled their fingers together.

"Yes, I would like that very much." Before she could continue Trina yelled at her to hurry up, so Tori gave him a quick peck on the cheek and ran after her sister. Beck turned around and saw Jade finishing her talk with some tall brown-haired guy. He marched thru the mostly empty corridors to confront her.

"What was that all about? You made it sound like I'm some sex-maniac." Anger was lacing his voice.

"Yeah, I know. The reactions of the others were priceless. I wonder if Rex will explain to Cat about what kind of appetite I was talking. I hope that it won't shock her too much." She chuckled a bit. "As to why, I think that is obvious. If that goody-goody Vega thinks that you are some kind of sex deviant she might not be that eager to have you. That last peck didn't seem so passionate. The rest of the girls here are too afraid of me to date you." She put her hand on his cheek and gently caressed it. "I told you Beck, you are mine and I'm not giving you up." Beck grabbed her hand tightly and removed it from his face.

"And I told you to be careful. I am no one's but my own." He turned around and left her. He was angry. After so much time together and the feelings they've had, he had hoped that Jade would not try to manipulate him so crudely. But obviously he had underestimated her determination to keep him. Part of him couldn't help but wonder, was there a kernel of truth in her words. He had grown accustomed to their 'after parties', when in the mood, and that was often enough, Jade could be very passionate girl. Would he be able to reign in his hormones and wait with Tori for the right moment? Beck hoped so, because the thought of pressuring her into something she wasn't ready for and ruining their connection filled him with dread.
