Tori's Plan

Beck didn't particularly like Mondays. Not that he disliked them, but the thought of the five school days ahead didn't hold much appeal to him. He had spent much of the weekend with Tori and knew that he wouldn't be able to do on school days. He parked his car and entered school. He was late, the halls were already empty. He was late for the first class, but thankfully the teacher liked him, so he got away with it. After the bell rang he turned to talk with Tori but she had already left the classroom. Outside he saw something very odd. Much of the same girls that had gossiped Friday about her, had now gathered around and were asking her questions with great excitement. Beck saw Cat and asked her what was going on.

"Everybody is excited about Tori's new friend." Off his puzzled look she showed him her pear-phone. It showed Tori's Slap page. It had pictures of her with Kenan Thompson, Carly Shay and with Alyssa. The ones with Alyssa were in her bedroom or more precisely her wardrobe room. Both girls were posing with some big hats and looking like best friends having fun together. The photos with others were taken after the party and they too looked very friendly.

"So that is her plan." He said more to himself. Personally he didn't like flaunting his private relationships for everyone to see, for him it was tacky. That was one of the reasons, beside Jade's jealousy, that he kept his friendship with Alyssa secret. He had to admit though, that it was a clever move. In this school everybody dreamed of being famous. So when one of their schoolmates got to rub shoulders with famous personalities he or she inevitably became a centre of attention.

"The others are so excited because Tori's new friend is famous." Cat giggled. She was happy about the sudden change in attitude towards her friend.

"They stopped telling naughty stories about you two." She looked at him curiously and twirled her hair. Sometimes he forgot that Cat was actually his age and not as naive as she usually acted. Still, the thought that she might be imagining him doing the things that the rumors said he did made him feel uneasy. Suddenly her expression changed and she became serious.

"When Jade saw the pictures she threw her phone. Then she said a bad word." Cat again giggled, finding the thought of Jade cursing funny. Beck smirked too; obviously her plan was derailed, at least for now. He squeezed past the gaggle of girls around Tori. Their eyes met, she smiled apologetically, he returned the smile without reservations and her smile relaxed. After their next class he finally caught up with her. She was walking with Erica Johnson, holding her arm and was explaining something animatedly.

"So you see Jade was just trying to stir up trouble. Andre and I are just good friends. He actually talks about you all the time." The other girl smiled and nodded.

"I know I shouldn't have listened to rumors but when the guy you are interested in spends so much time with such a pretty girl you can't help but wonder." The blonde explained with a bit of embarrassment.

"Oh you are so kind." With that the two girls parted ways and Tori approached Beck. He took her in his arms and gave her a slow deep kiss. It was their first kiss for the day, so they made it last. He didn't realize how much he missed her lips. It was as if he was getting addicted to her sweet kisses.

"You are doing damage control for Andre?" he asked her after they eventually parted lips.

"Yes, he is really crushing on this girl. So I decided to help him a little." She said with a mischievous smile. She looked straight into his opal eyes. "You really aren't mad that I used your friend in my little plan?" She asked taking him by the arm.

"I assume that you not only have asked Alyssa, but that she enthusiastically helped you." He knew Alyssa well enough. When in private she loved all sorts of pranks, jokes and plans; if not to do them, then at least to hear Beck talk about them. He didn't doubt that at least part of the plan was her idea.

"At first I was hesitant to ask her for help with this. But she got immediately into it. I wanted just one picture with her. Instead she made me take a dozen and made a whole production out of it." Tori had to admit that she had a blast while taking the pictures with Beck's friend.

"She is quite cool." Beck agreed while enjoying the enthusiasm gleaming in his girlfriend's eyes. "How is your plan working out?"

"It's going very well for now." She said with a hint of pride. "I knew that a real celebrity will distract everybody from our imaginary sordid sex live." Tori wasn't much of a plotter usually, but she had to admit that it was kind of fun.

"Do you think it will last?" Beck wasn't sure this will be enough of a distraction.

"What, are going to miss your glory of a sex maniac?" Tori teased him.

"No, I just don't think Jade will let this go easily." He answered sincerely. Okay, perhaps he missed it just a little bit. He had to admit that the awestruck looks of the some of the guys were kind of an ego boost. "I'm afraid that she will do something more direct to get you to dump me." He knew Jade was not one to resort usually to physical violence, but who knows what she'll do if she became desperate.

"Nothing she can do can make me give you up." Tori assured him with another long kiss. Then she pulled his arm and headed to their next class.

"Okay, let's go to class before we are late." The next class they had different subjects, so they parted ways. Beck was walking to his class when suddenly a hand pulled him in the janitor's closet.

"Jade what the chiz." He said when he recognized his ex-girlfriend. It was obvious that she was very angry. Her otherwise beautiful face was distorted by a scowl and her sapphire eyes were blazing.

"Was this your idea?" She accusingly shoved a finger in his chest. He looked at her incredulously.

"What Jade? And I don't appreciate being dragged into closets by my ex-girlfriend." He pushed her hand away.

"Did you introduce Vega to you friend, the socialite?" Accusation colored her question. "As if with her Prome and all the songs Andre wrote for her she wasn't popular enough. Why are you helping her take everything from me?" she bitterly continued.

"It didn't happen on purpose." He began excusing himself by habit. Then stopped and looked her strait in the eyes. "And why am I explaining myself to you. You started this with your rumors. I thought they were beneath you."

"I started it? She started it by stealing you from me." Annoyance flared up in him. This possessive attitude was one of the things that irritated him most about her.

"We've been through this Jade. I'm not an object, I can't be stolen." He had moved out of his parent's home into an RV to escape their control. Why did she think that he will tolerate hers?

"She kissed you on her second day here." He was tired of this argument. In the past eight months they have been thru this dozens of times. He had tried apologizing for it, explaining it, ignoring her, nothing helped.

"You poured ice coffee on her head, on her first day here." He began as if by habit, and then caught himself. "You know I'm not having again this argument with you." He turned around and got out of the janitor's closet. He heard her kicking the door in frustration and anger. He knew that despite Tori's little victory things were going to get worse before they got better.
