chapt 1- living
The night was darker than she had ever seen it before. There was no moon, no stars, no lights from a distant city to destroy they illusion that they were the only ones in the universe tonight.
Kai's arms were wrapped around her waist, and her hands rested on his. She felt safe and loved. She had never been so happy. Life was perfect.
She thought about the nights she'd spent alone, crying silently into her pillow. Unrequited love was the worst. She never wanted to go back to that. Rai had given her nothing but heartache and misery. Being with Kai just felt so right.
